  4. Porting and machining skills would be required if you hoped to build a thriving business imo but if you can make a few bucks on the side doing repairs or resale then go for it. Someday you may have a full service machine shop if you keep investing and trying to learn.

  6. Brilliant! Instant forced induction. I think it could work . I'm going to pipe one up to the induction system on my truck and set it next to me on the console for some finger tip boost control. I'll let you know how it goes. Should rip.
  7. Clint, with a banshee crank, a good crank means one with 2 good rods...it's that simple. If it needs work, like a new rod, that should be mentioned and it should not be called a "good crank". It's not like they are two piece rods with a cap. You have to have the crank split to replace a rod and then it has to be re-trued. You can't just bolt a new rod on.
  8. He sold you a crank and he didn't mention that it only has one rod...that's fucked. If I were him I would give you your money back because if you have his address it is really easy to make him wish he never stole your 90bucks. If he decides to be stupid PM me and I will elaborate further.

  11. Well I got an early start today and have tried a few of the drinks mentioned here and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be on these the rest of the night. This jameson is mixing up smooth. Thats the best whiskey sour I've ever had. Thought I'dtap this out before I'm too far gone.
  12. What have you tried so far and explain again how it runs when you test ride it. How many NEW plugs have you fouled? Explain to me again what you are saying...it runs good with the new plug for a while (how long?) and then you feel it start to mis-fire or what? Have you checked the carbs yet and/or swapped them from side to side? What does the exhaust smoke look and smell like? Your symtoms are pretty vague so far. Are both pipes getting hot when you ride?
  13. So I assume the radiator fluid level was low again. Make sure your tranny oil is not milky white or overfilled now which would be a bad waterpump seal or oring. However, it sounds like you are burning it by the way that you describe the bike running which means you need to replace the head gasket (or o-rings if you have an aftermarket head). Easy fix. Bansheerider29x let us know if you figure it out, but I can't help you any further without first knowing what compression each cylinder reads on a compression gauge.
  14. If there is no unusually heavy smoking from one or both exhaust pipes and your coolant and tranny oil levels are not dropping then it may not be that serious. If compression is good and even on both cylinders you might try swapping plug wires from side to side for a quick easy test to eliminate the possibility of a bad plug wire. If you then start fouling the plug on the other side, replace the plug wires or coil assy. You didn't by any chance recently have a fuel leak and conveniently "fix" it by re-routing an overflow tube to a higher location? Could try swapping carbs from side to side and see if the problem moves to the other side. There are other possibilities but you need to check your compression FIRST.

  16. I got CPI's on GRR ported jugs w/alky FTZ PWK's w/K&N's in UPP boots. FYI I got TCS shocks w/LSR susp. comp. DDI supplies the bling. It rips. I got a 4mm cheetah on nitrous and alcohol. It runs aight' .

  18. If you scanned that, did you try scanning it as a picture instead of a document? Doing so will result in a much clearer image.
  19. Uhhhhh...well I would help you but I AM a genius so... Seriously, did you read what you posted? Make sense to you? Anyway your right it doesn't take a genius to jet it but it does require that you give a little more info. Like exactly what pipes you have and what altitude your at. You said no other mods so a ballpark guess on stock carbs I would say 300-340main (start w/340) 27.5-30 pilot and start with the needle clip in the middle. After you find the best main size then play with the clip position for best performance. This should be in jetting not drag by the way .
