  1. This could not be more clear. Nothing you have said refutes this. Of course, as
  2. Ok, so you don't trouble yourself to do for others (gifts/candy) on Christmas or Easter. That's easy, I could do that. It would save me time, money and stress. You don't vote. That's easy too. It's a pain in the ass to get to the poles anyway. By the way, what do you have to say about RJV's find in the scriptures that goes against your "easy way out" theory on voting? Here it is again: Ok, back to my original point. You don't vote or celebrate Easter or Christmas...convenient, but what else are you doing that justifies your holier than thou attitude? Can you document an appreciable amount of charity work? Can you document that you give at least 10% of your earnings to a church of God? Is there anything else you do to serve God that inconveniences you, because everything so far seems pretty convenient.
  3. It upset me too. We need to organize a security detail for loco. He should never be without entourage. Where do they find all these dudes named John Paul to be Pope? Why can't some guy named Ringo be Pope? May he rest in peace.
  4. Holyman: RJV: Brooke: Me: Once again, another example of Holyman interpreting selectively for convenience IMO. Holyman, God knows that your decision not to vote in this last election was because YOU FEARED making the wrong decision in God's eyes, but you need not justify your lack of faith in that regard by rationalizing that God wouldn't have wanted you to vote in the first place. Those who were compelled with their hearts and faith to vote did not necessarily offend God. Humble yourself.
  5. Are you kidding me? You did not answer the questions...they are right above you. I won't argue theology with you because there is too much semantics involved for anyone to declare victory, which therefore leads to self righteousness...and then I might start calling myself holyman or something .
  6. I took your quote out of context, but I did not misquote you...it is verbatim. Yes, I know them, what is your point? What about my other questions? Did you receive gifts or candy on holidays when you were a kid? Are you damned for that? Are your parents/gaurdians damned for buying you gifts? Do you have any fond memories of Christmas or Easter as a child? Why would you begrudge your children that? I do not believe that it would help their faith if they are ostresized by their peer group for your unconventional, yet convenient, beliefs. I'm sure their friends have asked "what did you get for Christmas". your kid: Nothing, my dad doesn't believe in Christmas. other kid: Are you Jewish? Your kid: No. other kid: wow, your dad is a cheap ass! Your kid: Yeah, he's weird...I'm going to rebel soon. All I'm saying is that unless you are living a completely sin free life holy, then I would say your views on this are selectively convenient. If you don't want to be bothered with the stress of having to shop for holiday gifts for your loved ones that is fine, I just do not believe that you should justify it as God's mandate.
  7. Well holyman all I can say is that no where in the 10 commandments does it say thou shalt not buy the kids Easter candy or thou shalt not buy thy loved ones Christmas gifts or thou shalt not vote. Your interpretations in these matters seem very convenient for you because as you said Nice attitude. I'm sure there are other things that you do in your life that God would concider more of an abomination than putting a smile on your kids face with a Christmas gift or some Easter candy. Perhaps you are too fond of your banshee and spend too much time and energy and money on it, in God's eyes?Yeah but banshee's are fun. Shopping for gifts sucks. Cheap gifts tossed to unappreciative folks huh? Well put a little more thought into the gift...that's what counts...a little something for the kids anyway. When you were a kid, did your parents or gaurdians give you Christmas gifts or Easter candy? If so, are you damned for receiving the gifts? Are your parents damned for giving them?
  8. As RJV cited: I believe that when you are saved, you truly FEEL God's existence. This feeling is very fleeting and you may never feel that close to God again while on this earth. That is where faith comes into play. I also believe that God's plan for his believers may not lead all in the "path of riteousness", but instead will lead some through the "valley of the shadow of death", for it is there where you will find those most in need. So, since you cannot earn your way into heaven because no one is perfect enough, but may be saved only by the grace of God, do you think God would keep you out of heaven if you bought your kids some Easter candy? I think the worst that would come of it is that your kids might feel more normal which would make them happier because I would bet that your views on Christmas and Easter are probably a source of embarrasment for them, within their peer group, unless you ARE Jewish. That would only help to explain it for me as I personally do not have any anti-semetic views. I refuse to dis-respect anyones beliefs because I refuse to enlighten myself on theology to the point of self-righteousness. I believe all people are worthy of God's love. I hope you do not feel that I am disrespecting your beliefs. As you said, discussion is a good thing.
  9. So EVERY Christian who recognizes Christmas and Easter is unworthy of salvation? Unless that is the statement that you are making, I still contend that your opinion is skewed because it benefits you to not have to deal with the stress of shopping for gifts for your loved ones. So, is EVERY Christian who recognizes Christmas and Easter unworthy of salvation? Think before answering. That would be an awful lot of good Christians for you to condemn to hell.
  10. Amen! Excellent job illustrating your point RJV. I feel ya...as they say. My personal opinion is that Holy won't see the light on this issue because his selective perspective saves him money and the stress of shopping for gifts . Hey holy, do you believe in salvation through Christ? If so, what are you afraid of? Buy your loved ones some Christmas gifts and Easter candy you cheap ass!
  11. Ok, so Christmas should be just another day as far as your concerned but you say that a good Christian should recognize Easter, or the death and resurection of Christ. What would be the correct date to recognize this, since it's current established date was set only to transcend and align with an old pagan holiday? Since current Easter traditions do not meet the standards perceived from you interpretations of the word, again I ask, how should a good Christian family that has come together on Easter conduct themselves? Give me an outline of the day...do we go to church? Whats for dinner? Don't want to accidentally eat any foods that were sacraficed to idols Perhaps instead of eating candy, the children should scoot around on their knees all day until they are bloody while reciting passages? Is it just the Easter bunny that is offensive? They could probably make a chocolate Jesus. Would that be better?
  12. Yeah, if your crank is turning when you roll the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in it is probably because you didn't soak you fibers in oil long enough before installing. If you adjusted it by the book, it will be ok once you run it.
  13. Your thoughts are irrational IMO. Christmas is celebrated in GOOD SPIRIT by all...the spirit of GIVING and the underlying message of recognizing the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ is not missed or forgotten. The idea that God supports the pledge of allegiance may be ridiculous but the idea that the founders of our country supported their own beliefs in God is not ridiculous.
  14. Have you been drinking or did you just forget to proof read? What you wrote may be somewhat correct grammatically however it still makes no sense.
  15. How do you think Easter should be observed? Should children be expected to have a deep understanding of theology?
  16. Pagan? Easter is a Christian holiday in this culture. This day packs church pews and brings families together...what more could you ask for a day of religious observation? Of course we should "do it". Bunnies, colored eggs and candy do not obscure the meaning, it simply brings joy to the children and there is no greater rejoice than the joy of a child...just ask Michael Jackson .
  17. I like the 2 hotties pumping on that rail car...that one puts her ass out there right when Hootie sings "there's a train of ladies coming with a nice caboose"
  18. Need ASAP...whatcha got?
  19. Sorry for any un-due stress that my post may have caused you superdave. His dealings are sketchy at best.
  20. Get you a dolly and wheel a empty propane cylinder around the halls with a wire duct taped to it. Just clinch the other end of the wire in your fist.
  21. Nice. What kind of chassis setup are you running?
  22. 110 with 18cc domes would make it even snappier on the low end. It would be a noticeable improvement down low, gauranteed.
  23. Your plug is fine. I'm just saying that a bike that is running really strong and then intermittently feels like it wants to stall on you and then a wrist pin bearing goes sounds like predetonation. Get a hold of a compression gauge. Maybe you got some bad fuel. Run 110 and get you some 18cc domes and the bike will rip even harder.
