B8ES or BR8ES and I think .030 They usually come gaped about right uless you drop them on the shop floor as you take them out of the box. Yamalube 2R works fine and about 32:1 If you want to spend a little more Maxima Castor 927 is good stuff and smells sweet, use at 40:1

You probably dont need a cap unless your over 500 watts, you just need to have the appropriate gauge (larger gauge for a longer distance too) wire with good terminals. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 0-100 watts RMS - 10 ga 100-250 RMS - 8 ga 250-400 RMS 6 Ga or 2x 8 ga and 400 watts RMS-up 4ga or larger and maybe a cap Typically RMS watts X 2 = max wattage output but some amps way over inflate their max watage claims. Also if you have a battery with duel terminals (one post, and one flat bolt on type) hook the amp up to its own terminal. Other power draws on the same terminal can weaken your voltage. Also make sure your ground is good and clean, possibly connect to 2 different ground sources. Use the gold plated terminals, not the cheap zink coated ones. Also make sure your speaker wire is large enough, I always go with 8 ga on subs, and is not dark in color from being corroded. Wimpy speaker wire can make your amp work a lot harder and put out more power to achieve the same db's but with more distortion. Good power supply and speaker wire will make an amp perform much better.

rebelbanshe2, yeah, I work for the deprtment of transportation so I'll probably be layed off as soon as the Japaneese can develop a shovel that can stand up on it's own. Seriously, there are a lot of people trying to make a difference but government is soo beaurocratic. I worked in construction in the private industry and jumped over the fence so now for the State. The problem I see, to give a couple examples, is that there are soo many regulations, both environmental and to do with liability with the public that it creates so much red tape to go through, requires so much more staffing, cost the contractor so much more to build the project because of constraints we are forced to put on them to built it, that things end up costing 4x as much buy the time it is finished, and that is a waste of taxpayers money. And your right, it is not exactly a Democracy, it's a Republic of States who chooses leaders who then must go through a Democratic process to represent and to get what each state wants. The problem is when the Government gets so big that is begins to take on a life of its own, feeding on itself by making rules that require more government jobs to satiffy the reules and governing against its constituents wishes which leads it towards a socialist society. "Big brother knows best" is bulshit. The US Government was originally created to unify all of the territories which became the "States" in a group effort to fend against forien countries, England, France, ect. so the people could be free from tyrany, own land, and ability to controll their own destiny and sucess, not to ensure that we all will get free health care! We all have equal rights, but not an equal right to a piece of the pie without earning it. You have to go out and get your own damb piece of pie! If the US didn't run on capitolism then all of the kick ass money driven industries and oportunities and the possiblility to make a good life for yourself (if your willing to work for it) wouldn't exist. If your in a dead end job where you can't afford any of the extras in life then go get educated or get a better job or work harder, if you stay there its because you choose to. Thats why the US, per capita, has the most productive workers in the world. If you want it bad enough, you can go out and get it! In a Socialist society there isn't as much incentive to be sucessful because you get stripped of your proffits over a certain point and the people that may not work as hard are given a leg up so everyone is artificailly make more equal. And thats why America kicks ass! and they suck ass!

Love it ur leave it! U like Canada better, well then get aaaaaaaaaout! J/K I guess I am somewhat of a bush fan. Now matter how the war is being handled or how we were led into it, Iraq and many other countries for that matter are a menace to all free societies and none of the limp dick European countries are going to do shit to patrol their own back yard save for maybe the UK (Tony Blair Rocks ). Ude's days of cruising around on the weekend looking for weddings to crash so he can get the first crack at the virgin bride right before she is married are over. The days of mass graves in Iraq are over. And one day if the Iraqis don't F-up there new found freedom the world will be a beter place. Bush is not a stand by and talk his way out of situations president, he lets his actions speak for him. He kicks ass and takes names later. I like having someone in charge that's not a "lets do what the biased media polls say I should do, wade through and get bogged down in the red tape, limp wristed, kinda leader." And, I'm not going to criticise the minor details along the way. Wars are messy and sure, the media is trying to make it sound bad to elect the next demo president. Believe me, I live in CA and when Bush came out talking about initiating an illegal immigrant workers bill, (AKA amnesty bill) that was almost a deal breaker for me and if he persues it anymore I'll drop his ticket like a rock, so I'm by no means a diehard bush fan. And take it from me being a government employee, all the "lets spend Government money on XYZ instead of the war" talk is BS, the government can easily waste more money on social programs that grow and feed on themselves requireing more money each year than any exhisting private industry based system can or Bush could waste on any war. Once you create a deeply beaurocratic government system your stuck with it. Why do you think CA had to borrow 15 Bil just to say afloat this year? And we the people have nothing or very little to show for the money the was spent and or wasted in the booming years before the recession. If anything we would all be better off just having left the money in our pockets rather than spending it on the war or social programs but I believe the war is a good cause and an investment in the worlds future.

I was dragging up sand mountain against some stock and some piped YZF's. I have Gnarlies so they are not exactly good pipes in a drag, but did help be get a good hole shot on most of the bikes. The race was really long and up a steeeep hill so it was basically an all out horsepower contest rather than a quick acceleration over a short distance. About 600 feet up the hill in elevation probably about 1200 ft long or so. I could get out in front of the stock YZF and sometimes even the piped ones with a good start but going up the hill I couldn't pull 5th gear and the YZF's could so even the stock YZF would chug on past me towards the top of the hill. I weigh about 250 so that slows me down a lot and stock gearing made it even worse. One more tooth on front and I could have done a lot better but they still would have passed me towards the top. Other banshees with Toomeys and unknown other mods would pull 5th and be faster then the stock YZF and alot more even or faster than the piped YZF's. Of coarse the absolulte fastest quads were the highly moddified drag banshees who would just destroy anybody accept for possibly the YZF 450 2 wheelers who would wave to you as they wheely up the hill past you after giving you a 100ft handicap headstart. The worst one was getting beat by a petite hot looking blond chick on a really nice YZF with alien pipes and probably other mods who came friggin ripping past me so fast it wasn't even funny! Sure wish I could have caught up to that fast little hot tail! At least I got the hole shot on her. The TRX didn't seem like it could hang with either the pipes shees or the YZF's going up the hill, only saw one of those to compare though. Got my ass handed to me many times but it was still really fun!

Yeah I sure did realize the load I was being fed after I graduated. Thanks to the soldiers who fight for our country. Hopefully the Iraqis will unlearn the hate that they have been taught for so many years and learn to enjoy and respect their freedom.

I have a black 04 LTD with sand stars, and my wife has a black and white blaster. Our RV was parked right across from the shitter towards the drag race hill and kinda broadside to it right on the main road. You guys wern't the ones with the black truck that was making runs up the mountain just to the right of the drag hill were you? Did you see that insanity? That truck made it way the hell up the hill for a stock truck, I swore that sucker was going to roll. I cant believe that the red jeep that was out there Saturday was making it all the way to the top of the mountain. My nuts still haven't dropped from going over the rasor at top of the mountain and I didn't even have enough guts to attempt it on the tallest steepest part of the mountain to the North. When you said you cant miss it driving up I-50 you were not kidding! I got there at 3am Saturday morning and I could see a small city of lights and quads racing up the mountain from 5 miles away! I didn't go up the mountain at night, it was steep enough to get me pretty pumped in the day, at night I think it would freak me out too much. I would be leaving brown and yellow streaks up the hill.

Wow! Sand Mountain was friggin awsome! I dont know where to start! The sand was sooo much steeper and taller than anything I've ever seen on the Oregon coast. It was a hillclimbers dream. The mountain was taller and steeper than I had immagined. Theres got to be at least 700 ft of vertical climb in places fom the base to the top. The rasors at the tops of the doons are insane and scared the shit out of me at first. Theres no place to stop at the top of the hill like the rounded dune tops in Oregon. The sand rails there were awsome and crazy as hell. The drag races up the hill were fun as hell except for getting my ass handed to me over and over the worst of which came from a chick on a YZF 450 that was fast as hell, bitch came flying past about 3/4 of the way up the hill even when I'd pull a good 2nd gear hole shot on her. Friggin Gnarlies are going on the auction block soon for some high revin shizzel with sizzel. I couldn't pull 5th up the drag hill with stock gearing although I do weigh 250 but still! The fire works on Saturday night kicked ass! People out there are straigt crazy lighting bonfires at the top of the mountain! I loved every minute at Sand Mountain! I wish I could have stayed longer.

I'm heading there Friday night. I'll probably wont get there untill around 10pm. Definitly look for our RV Saturday morning and you can give me the sandbox tour. My wife and dad will be pretty slow riders so I don't if I'll be able to do a lot of riding with the hot rodders. Saturday night, cocktails in the RV! Ahhhhhh Hell Ya! Cant wait! Want ta go now!

Geeeese you guys! It's not rabid, at that age it would be dead before you found it if it was. I raised several baby gray squirels when I was a kid. They often fall out of the nest or get abandoned by the mother. They are really fun little pets when they are babies. Try feeding it kittens milk formula out of an eye dropper type feeding tube. I'll warn you though, when they get a few monthes old, the instincts kick in and they get really frisky and will start biting the hell out of you (now watch out for your nuts), then it's time to kick them out and let them fend for themselves.

Favorite phone code word- pizza The pizza was always sliced in 8 pieces. If pot was legalized alot of people would grow their own and sell it so there would be now way to tax or regulate it and alcohol sales and taxes would suffer and thats big business for alcohol producers, the stores that sell it, and government alcohol tax revenues. That kinda pull on the politicians pocket will insure statis quos. I think weed is something that you sort of grow out of if you want to be sucessful and productive the same as alcohol. You can more or less make the same negative "it's bad because" arguments with alcohaol as with pot. But its still fun to get drunk or high on a good ocation. As for legalize it? Well I duno. Maybe, but if its illegal then I guess alcohol should be illegal too. I just wish they would decrimilaize pot possession in smaller amounts because there are a lot of decent kids that get in deeeeep shit, including yours truly at one time, even charged with felonies, over rediculously small amounts.

The SST pipes need the SST specific silencers. There are SST power core II and the SST turbine core II to choose from.

Well this probably wont help much, but a pretty small amount of air in the brake lines can keep you from making any presure on one squeese of the lever. Usually you can pump it a few times and get enough pressure to get some break pressure though. I'd say that if you can pump it a few times and get no pressure then you either have a hell of a lot of air in the line or your master cylinder isn't working at all, but if you can bleed the breaks then the master should be working cause its pumping the fluid that is being bled right? This may be a stupid question, but you know how to only open the valve while you are in the pumping stroke of the brake lever or it will suck air back into the line right? No offence, just checkin.

If there is a little mettle plate that the 2 screws go through at the base of the reed, then that takes the place of the reed stop plate that is attached on the stock reed cage. Boysen reeds use them and call it a rev plate.

Just thought I'd add that not all spark arrestors have a screen in which the exhast must flow through. I'm not sure about the sparkeys, but I think that most of the turbine core style spark arrestors dont need the screen.

What I do is put chain lube on at home and take it for a quick ride to fling off the excess then wire brush the chain to get any crud of the chain so its nice and clean. You want a well lubed chain but not drippin with lube or a bunch of sand will stick to it and thats not good. If you can't ride it to fling off excess before the sand then just brush and/or wipe it down good so its not a sand magnate and it wont wear on the chain or sprocket any more than usual.

Damb, sorry to hear that DBK. Hope she has a good recovery. I had a similar event with my wife skiing this winter, not nearly that bad though, but did end up in the hospital emergency room and had to go back for minor surgery a couple days later. Luckily my wife healed up surprisingly fast. I'll be arriving at Sand Mountain April 23rd (late Friday evening) with the motorhome/partywagon and riding the doons on the 24th and 25th . I'll have some big HQ logos on the motorhome. We will have a all black ltd banshee, black and white blaster, and a Honda utility quad (dark color) with 25" GBC paddle masters. I got a cold one waiting for any HQer that comes a knockin (don't be knockin when a rockin though.. J/K ) Can't wait!

Just a thought. Once you take a plug out once, the washer has alredy been smashed, when you put the plug back in, it won't seat quite the same as new again. This hasn't ever caused me any problems though. Were these all brand new plugs only installed for the first time or had they ever been removed for inspection before? Had the heads that are having the plugs back out had many, many sets of plugs installed after a lot of years of use?
