my banshee was stolen about 2 weeks ago in hillsboro ohio. i had just moved and it sat in the garage ONE night and was gone the next. they cut my lock and pulled my chevy Z71 out into the street just to get into the barn. possible leads suggest its in adams county ohio. it was a 1997 with Toomey T5's, yellow plastic with cut front fenders and pig ear notches cut into them. it also had Ohlins shocks with gold remote resevoirs and red Outerwears, DG steel nerfs with red nets, high compression Cool Head, a boost bottle, Renthal bars, and ITP Holeshots all around. ANY information would be greatly appreciated. 1-937-364-2685.my name is Joe and this is my parents house, ask for Dave as i currently have no phone(i'm in the process of moving). Thanks everyone!

"flame-thrower" Exhaust...
nastylowcadillac replied to nastylowcadillac's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i was thinking about using smaller chainsaw plugs and definatly no propane or other fuels(the wasted fuel in the exhaust should be enough).i definatly see your point regarding lost performance and the silencers would be a beeotch to drill as well. i dunno....i'm gonna go to the garage and check this shit out...there must be a way!!! :flame: -
i know this is a real jackass thing to do with summer (and dry weather) coming up but i've been thinkin about puttin one on my banshee just for entertainment. it should be just like for an older carbuerated(sp) car, using spark-plugs, a coil, a push button switch, and some wire, right? :flame:

man, after about the first of may i plan on hittin all the spots on an every weekend basis. all of us on here from southern ohio should start gettin together after it dries up a bit.
-
i'm from hillsboro, which is about 15 minutes from wilmington. i'm a newbie to serious atving, so i dont know where any good spots are. i've had a few small dirtbikes years back and an old king quad, but i never left the farm with any of em. i just got my banshee a few months ago and i'm looking to find a few good spots in southern ohio for when the weather gets nicer.

any ohio riders out there? are there any good spots to ride(trails or quad friendly tracks)? i'm not looking to race, its just getting old chasing my tail on the same 100 acres every sunday.

Banshee Runs Inconsistant
nastylowcadillac replied to nastylowcadillac's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Ben- i dont think its electrical, it has a new stator and shows good spark T- i think this could be a a possibility, except i had the carbs cleaned out and synched(supposedly) by the shop(clinton county yamaha) Banchetta- the bike was jetted for winter riding(cant remeber jet #'s though...) the plugs dont look bad but the left side is oil fouling them to be honest i'm a total newby to working on my bikes (first couple were 4-strokes...sorry guys ). i am really disappointed with the fact that i took my bike to the shop and it sounded and ran ok (it was shitty out and i couldnt get cranked up in 4th untill it dried up a little)but still did the same damn thing it did before i took it there.PLUS... i told em while the carbs were off to replace the tops with the TORS removal kit, not only did they not do that but also plugged the TORS back up. AND i said take that worthless boost bottle off and replace that intake(the bottle one obviosly has the 2 holes...), once again didnt do it. and to top it all off the bike STILL RUNS SHITTY!!! oh sure you cant really hear the difference or feel it at low(under 45-50mph) but when the bike is in a good mood it freakin screams and there is a HUGE difference in the way it sounds and runs under a direct comparison(such as it suddenly runs great as i shift into 4th gear and it pulls the front wheels to the sky for about 5 seconds then bogs back down to its normal groggy state).sorry for the long post i had to vent... -
the bike runs great at some times then poorly and back again, it seems to run great in some parts of the field then cuts out at high RPM/ high speed in others(very odd...)when i take it out on the road it pulls like crazy untill i hit 4th or 5th and it starts to build up, then cuts out and runs shitty. anyone have any ideas or past experiences?(BTW tors is unplugged and i run BP 93 with 104+ oil is @ 32:1)

ok i know these pipes arent worth much but is anyone interested in 8 sets of stock banshee pipes and silencers? all are in excellent condition no dents, little rust.

Rough Running Banshee
nastylowcadillac replied to nastylowcadillac's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
sorry about not replying sooner(full time work and college is a beeeoootch...) but thanks for all the good ideas. to be honest when i got this thing it was running on one cylinder but i just rode it around and the more i rode it the better it ran(it only took about an hour of goofin in the yard b4 it was gettin nasty). i traded an old cadillac with hydraulics to this crazy coke fiend for the bike even up. looking back i think that may be like 99% of the problem. i tried to start it up today and the bitch wont even fire up so i say to heck with this 2 carb adjustin', TORS knob on top twistin' bullcrap...i'm just gonna clean it up for winter and put a single carb kit on it and ditch this ridiculous boost bottle, twin carb, TORS setup. if you look up my profile i'm almost sure it should have my bikes mods listed, but its got T5's, Coolheads with unknown domes(the guy i bought it from is a speed freak and i havent seen him in a while and no i dont associate with those folks just a friend of a friend), a new stator, and it has a new top-end.all the work was done by beetchmont yamaha( that guys baby-momma works at the hooters across the street). but regardless if you guys could point me in the way of a good single carb set-up i would appreciate it, i've done some research on it but i've been out of quads for a few years so i'm not up on the newer companies/ products avalible.
