Your problem is non o-ring chains wear out fast. They are typically for race applications only; because they can be made to run with less friction which is good for getting that extra ounce of performance, I doubt you'd even notice the difference. The problem is, from my experiece with them, is that they stretch a lot and keep streching every time you ride with them, where as an o-ring chain will strech a little when you first put it on but then not much after that untill it starts wearing out. When it starts stretching again ( a couple years down the road) its wearing out and needs to be replaced. Dirt and sand will eat a non o-ring chain faster because the grime can contaminate the luberication inside the chain easier and cause wear. You also have to lube them more which pick up more dirt. You can run an o-ring chain virtually dry because the lube is sealed in by the o-rings.

Liar! Real quick is like "F**k y'al"l and leave it at that. Your like bla bla Satan, bla bla Jesus, bla bla f**kn bla for about 200 lines. So what part of real quick don't you understand? Redlined's quote when he started this post is exactly what you do and you just proved it with your long ass brainwashed reply. Brooke, I'll agree with your take on church, P.S. don't forget the Mormans!

I bought a set before you started making them, and I was just pointing out that there were some issues before you took over. I recieved a chrome set without spring eyes and had to send them back. But, Ray got a new set to me in a fairly reasonable time so I was saying that his customer service was good as well. I'm not trying to slam on either of you. I personally wouldn't have started this thread like he did, but then I'm not walking in his shoes, and I'm just saying that I have had good experiences buying pipes from Ray before. I can totally understand how unreliable shops that you nee parts/services from can screw you bad especially when your schedule doesn't allow for a bunch of F-ups and time to correct them. I really think that both of you should get together work out some differences and do what it takes to get some pipes made, sent out, and stock a couple dousin on the shelves while your at it. Rocket pipes are good pipes, who gives a shit about a little negative PR. People will buy them if you make them because they make a lot of power and look kick ass. 2 years of hearing nothing but good about Rockets is not going to be hurt by 2 days of bad. Theres probably 20 guys with Rockets on their christmas with list that will never even see this post. Now about the updated silencers? Can I get a set pluss new stinger tubes or what?

Watch out everyone, I just got a spoof e-mail that shows up in microsoft outlook express as comming from e-bay but the e-mail sender is actually [email protected] if you go to properties and look at who is sending the message. I went to e-bays page for reporting problems and forwarded the message to them. In their "how to identify a spoof e-mail page" it actually had one of the lines in this e-mail message as text example of a spoof message. If you click on the link in this message I believe it will take you to a spoof e-bay page and sucker you into giving out e-bay account info and/or personal info. I haven't tried to click the link, but I'm 100% sure its bunk. I tried to copy the text and past it but the e-mail is like one big picture that acts as a link if you click on it. Basically it warns you that if you dont click on the link and update info your account will be suspended and aventually terminated. Just wanted to warn you all. Later

Thats what I'd do! Your only going to get as much power as you twist the throttle. A 125 is way too enemic to haul a 200 +lb guy around and not blow up from being rode all day with a pinned throttle. My uncles YZ 450F seemed pretty decent in the trails but very underpowered to me in the dunes. If I got a bike it would be a CR or KX 500. That being said, I'm 30 years old and I'm getting kinda lazy for riding bikes. Its a lot harder to relax and just cruise around when you want to compared to a quad. It seams a lot easier to lay a bike over and hurt yourself as well. Although, back in the day when I was about 17 to 20 years old I had a Husky 510 and I had a lot of fun on that bike. There are some trails that you can only do on a bike and for jumps bikes rule, although my biggest jumps ever were on the banshee in the dunes, not a dirtbike. But half of the fun of a quad is slidding it sideways and you just dont get that on a bike. Mantenace on a banshee is not bad either. Late model 250cc 2 stroke motorcross bikes require way more freequent top end rebuilds than a shee, but either way is not all that hard or expensive. My Husky 510 sucked a valve screwing the piston and head. Would have cost $1500 to repair, so bike became a scrap heap that I never salvaged.

Cool! My baby girls is just turning 2 monthes. You won't believe how many little things your going to learn about pregnant women and having babies and then rasing them. Its like, how come no body ever mentioned that before?? Like when your women is about 6 monthes pregnant and the baby gets hickups, she'll be freakin out untill shee finds out that its normal, or at least mine did. The whole giving birth process is unbelievably exiting too. I thought the Lamaz class was very informative on the whole pregnancy and birth like what to do and expect when she goes into labor, I'd reccomend taking the class. It should really be called birth for dummies. Anyway, your in for some new experiences! Pluss the new job. Congrats^2

No shit. No wonder he hasn't been around the HQ as much lately. Too many hobbies. But you got to love forced induction motors. They are as addicting as shee is. The mods are more endless than a banshee and the power is insame.

Damb, this sucks! About all I can say from experiece is that Ray's customer service with me has always been +A. I bought mine before Fireman-Hott made them and there were issues with Rockets as far as chromers and supporting venders then too but Ray at least replies to e-mails or PM's fast and lets you know whats up and doesn't bull shit ya or try to blow smoke up your ass. So does this mean I'm going to have a hard time upgrading to the newer style silencers anytime soon if at all? If thats the case is there any that are already made on the shelf right now that I can put my dibs on? Got paypal ready!!!

Flat slide or round slide that is the question?
Ducman replied to Killdmycobra's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
90% of peeps go with flatslides when upgrading. They are supposed to give better throttle response and flow better because theh have longer runners comming in/out of the venturi area due to the venturi area being shorter so the rest of the carb body can be longer. They cost a few $ more. Never compared though. I doubt the difference is that much though. Diameter probably makes more difference than round or flat. Kiehin uses "D" shaped slides too. -
I'd go for porting first. You'll want at least 30 mm after porting, preferably 34-35. And they are right, you probably be best off with 28mm with just pipes, but there are better bangs for the buck than carbs for you at this point.

I ran 310's with the same mods except with a foam filter and was slightly rich so they should be abpout right for you. Sounds like you got her pretty close and are going in the right direction. The #1 thing you will notice is how much higher they rev and how much better you can pull 5th and 6th gear at least I did going from Gnarlies to Rockets.

I grew up on a dairy and did a lot of shit kicken but can't understand why anyone would want to listen to shit kicken music.

Same as your list but add Old Metalica & Old Pearl Jam (some of my all time favs) Some newer favs: Linkin Park (meteora - one of the best alblums every song is good) System of a Down Mudveyne Siliva

I would say probably a 170 main would work good. With a midpipe/slip-on typically a 165 or 168 main works good (airbox lid off, sea level) and a 168 to 172 main is good for the full system (airbox lid off, sea level). Some full systems can go larger than 170 but not much. A very highly modded 450 should typically still not go over 180 main.

I started my banshee for the first time in about 3 monthes a few days ago and it blew little flakes of carbon all over my garage, most would be suprised as you were at how many little flaming hot chunks of shit come flying out of a 2 stroke pipe.

Are you using blue lock-tite on the screws and letting them sit for 24 hrs (to cure) before use? That may fix the problem if its just the screws backing out.

Spark plug gap for 19cc domes and race gas
Ducman replied to Killdmycobra's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If your not getting any pinging or cutting out from the spark being blown out then you shouldn't need to reduce the gap. A smaller gap can reduce the chance of detonation. The BR8 spark plugs come at .030 out of the box which should work fine for almost everyone on pump or race gas. I've ran .028 and couldn't tell any difference. In theory you should get a better burn (more power) if the gap is wider .030 or .032 rather than .028 but its hard to notice the difference unless you are way out of tollerence. -
I really like the swingarm slider, it takes some of the slack of the chain and doesn't seem to wear very fast either. Way better design than stock. The rear sprocket chain guide works well too but the tm design works guide is much nicer looking but probably more Vulnerable to rocks and costs more.

Thanks, I think the 21x12x8 10 paddle extremes is what I will get. I'm going to have to put them on hold and live with the sand stars for a couple more months cause I just shot a big friggin hole in my wallet that was comepletely unplanned for some go fast goodies and a trip to the dyno for my lightning. Had a very rare oportunity to get a custom dyno tune by possibly the best tuner in the US, guy is flying out to the bay area to tune a handfull of trucks over a weekend. I'm looking to get into the 400HP/500TQ (at the wheels) club. I got the +4 swinger on now and it is sweet. I will post some pics this weekend. The whole +4 swinger project cost me about $350 including swingarm new chain/sprocket, misc parts and shipping, it looks sick as F**K, and I'm stoked! I will definitely post when I do a trip to OR coast. I don't remember ever seeing a post about an OR coast HQ gathering, maybe we'll have to look into this.

100LL is actually like 101 octane by R+M/2 ratings and is much more clean burning than auto pump fuel. The price is probably low because prices are typically raised as new deliveries of fuel come in, so it probably wont be cheap for very long. It is typically more expensive than primium pump fuel. I'd get u some.

Finally someone with higher prices than CA. I think the gas station closest to my house (shell = ripoff) want $3.09 for regular but most stations are still just under $3 for regular. I have to buy premium for my Lightning, cost $50 to fill my tank 3/4 full at $3.10/gal

Just curious How much is "the War" costing per day
Ducman replied to Holyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I heard someone on one of the weekly news journal shows say the war is costing " BILLION DOLLARS A DAY" but I think they just pulled that out of there ass. They were somewhat insinuating that if we hadn't spent all the money on the war that would have been able to afford to updated the dikes around New Orleans. (even though the potential hurricane/flood problem has been known for over 50 years) I think not very long ago the total cost of the war was estimated at around the +400 billion range. -
is there a place online to buy race fuels?
Ducman replied to 98bonerSTOCKshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
There is a petrolium dealer near me that will deliver for free if you buy (1ea) 55 gal drum at a time, same price/gal as if I go to the store and have them put it in my 5 gal jugs. You have to pay a deposit on the barrel and buy a $25 pump. I wish I would have bought one this winter when prices were cheaper. You might check for a petrolium dealer in your area, they may not stock race fuel but can probably order it for your in a $55gal drum. -
Definitly Noss! You may want to talk with dave and have him custom cut some BB domes for you. Depending on your porting you may want your domes cut for more top/mid/low end rather than a generic one size fits all cut. He has a HQ member discount and his annodized colored heads looks really nice. Using your stock studs is a big + with noss heads as well.
