  1. I agree! I had mine setup by TCS but the works shocks are everybit as good as Elka, PEP, Ohlins, etc. They just don't have the high prices!
  2. Go to www.ericgorr.com He is one of the best! Very nice guy and reasonable prices.
  3. Or you can look under the splash guard where the main is at and you will see it. Sits down about 1/2" behind the main, need a skinny screwdriver.
  4. I would like to go but if I remember right if you register it in Indiana you have to pay property taxes on it, I'm not keen on that idea. When it clears up and warms up we need to have a group ride somewhere. Anyone game?
  5. I didn't think shee's had a warranty at all, just like moto-x bikes.
  6. The side that had the higher temp is probably lean, check that carb to make sure there isn't a blockage in one of the jets.
  7. If you have to pull the choke out when it is warm you are too lean, the choke makes it suck more fuel, I would recheck your carbs and go up a size on the pilot if it's stock.you can visually sync the carbs by looking into the airbox. they should go up/down the same if not since you have the tors eliminator caps just adjust by the screws on top of the caps to get them in sync.
  8. www.hi-flite.com
  9. You could have it ceramic coated and polished to look like chrome, It will last like powdercoating. I had some parts on my snowmobile done like this and looks great!
  10. If the dirt is in scratches I use a little brake cleaner, and for the shine I spray tire foam on the plastic and engine. Don't wipe it off right away, let it sit for a few hours or all night then buff it off with a clean towel. It keeps the engine slick so mud comes off easier.
  11. If anyone wants to ride that live in/close to Indiana let me know. I have a couple of tracks to ride at and go to Haspin Acres, Badlands offroad park, and Wayne National Forest in Ohio.
  12. When ever anyone wants to go to Attica or Haspin in Indiana pm me please!
  13. Alright, boon and fixitrod, if you guys go I'll supply the trailer, beer, and a fun road trip! My sister lives out there so she could help us with the arrangements. I want to go BAAAADDDD. I've been to Pismo and love to ride the dunes!!
  14. I had a guy to do this for me also, he put a port on the far outside of the intake about the size of a pencil. He had to build up the outside of the cylinder so it wouldn't go through, added a lot of bottom end.
  15. The float can be 20-22mm.
  16. I am guessing you did rejet for the pipes so I would go up 2-3 sizes on the main considering the airbox lid removed and the cold temps, you might have to richen the airscrew (turn it in) a bit also. I would try to do a plug check as soon as you get there to make sure these adjustments are enough.
  17. I have the V-force reeds and think they are great! I have never tried the pyrmids so can't comment on them.
  18. The ph# (909) 245-7484 address is 561 Chaney St. Unit #E Lake Elsinore, CA 92530 They do good work, hope this helps.
  19. Add till the oil is on the top line of the dipstick WITHOUT THREADING IT IN.
  20. It's stock gearing and it will pull them at 100+ with a clutch and preload the front, and yes standing up, I doubt I could do it sitting that fast, I'm kind of a puss!
  21. Man, that sucks! I woud get a new one just to be sure it's right. Call a cycle salvage place in the back of a atv magazine. They should have one for under a $100.
  22. I do alot of repair work on quads, dirtbikes, scooters, lawnmowers on the side. I have a Ninja ZX9 and like to go riding w/friends. Work on my truck, race RC cars and just tinker with s@*t! I am currently laid off from Alcoa aluminum but get 80% of my pay till I get called back, not a bad deal huh? Always looking for riding buddies in or around Indiana.
  23. Loosen the pad bolts first then take caliper off, clean the pistons real good w/brake cleaner, put pins back in with the new pads, bolt caliper back on, tighen the pad bolts (pins), and bend the locking tabs back. I use Braking pads but they are all good I would assume. You also have to pry the pads apart to fit over the rotor.
  24. Try using the clutch to maintain the wheelie, for me it's easier than using the throttle, especially if your doin 125mph like blueduece, can you teach me how to ride one that fast on my ZX-9?
  25. The only thing that sucks about mud and water is the fact that it gets into the bearings and bushings, plus I hate to clean that crap off. I wash mine after every ride and take the plastic and tank off every 2 rides just to keep mine as clean as I can.
