to hone is just cleaning the cylinders up.. when you bore it your shaving and honing (cleaning) the cylinders... gotta ask yourself how long has it been since you've redid the top end, has your bike ran to spec in that time, do i have low compression. if you dont want to spend the money then get a hone job. are you on stock pistons? i did a hone job just cuz i ride hard and just needed a good cleaning... bought me some new rings.. got a hone jobb and i was off.. runs like a champ! although i dont know how many times you can hone a cylinder before it needs a larger size piston.

IN A PUSH OF A BUTTONT HE MOTOR WILL TURN 180 DEGREES BUT WATCH OUT FOR THE PIPES SPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE DRAG PIPES THEY WILL BURN YOUR LEG. SOON AS THAT MOTOR IS COMPLETELY 180 YOUR READY TO RELEASE THE BUTTON AND OFF YA GO INTO REVERSE... ... ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE FOUND SO FAR IS IN THE X9000 MODEL THE BUTTON GETS STUCK AND THE MOTOR WILL KEEP DOIN 360'S IN YOUR FRAME AND THAT CAUSES YOU TO SPIN CIRCLES RAPIDLY. TURNS OUT THE GROOVE AND THE NEEDLE DIDNT SIT IN RIGHT..... ....... SO ADJUSTED EVERYTHING.. PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER AND THE MOFO FIRED RIGHT UP... ALTHOUGH NOW IT DOESNT WANT TO IDLE THINK I WILL ADJUST THE AIRSCREW IN .5 TURN SINCE I AM 2 TURNS OUT SO BASICALLY WE ARE UP AN RUNNIN!!! here's what david noss from noss machined heads told me... QUOTE FROM THE MAN HIMSELF: At Little Sahara, you would be okay with 20cc domes as long as you don't advance your timing. At Glamis you would need to run 50/50 or 100LL Av Gas. Around Dallas, you would be borderline with premium pump. You could check your compression after installation and see if it is above 155. The price difference between premium pump gas and the 100LL isn't very much around here, about 20 cents per gallon. It has the octane, lead, and stores for a long time without going sour. If you installed 21cc domes you would be okay with premium pump at any elevation but wouldn't gain quite as much performance. LIL SAHARA IS ABOUT 800 ABOVE SEA AND DALLAS IS ROUND 500.. GLAMIS IS ROUND 1000' ABOVE.. HOPE THIS HELPS

yea... but if you have some spare gas runnin around... throw in a gallon into your mix.... just for future reference... may foul out a plug later on..but you will come within 1 size on the main and thats pretty close...

dont forget to mix properly... 32:1 is rich enough im at 40:1 at sea level

ALTHOUGH MINE WONT KICK OVER ANYMORE SINCE I CHANGED ALL THAT AT THE SAME TIME SO IM IN MY TROUBLE SHOOTING ERA... BOUGHT 30 PILOT HAVENT INSTALLED IT... AND HAVENT PUT NEEDLE IN 2ND CLIP YET.. SO GIVE YA AND IDEA WTF WILL HAPPEN...IT KICKED OVER AND RAN LIKE WOT SO I KILLED IT THEN I KICKED IT 3 MORE TIMES AND THE SAME THING.. NOW IT WONT START.. SO ....LOL

i used a saw to cut off the rubber and then used the dremmel to clean up excess crap.. man if you have some freggin 30 pilots.. that would be awesome ... i have called 5 dealerships around here and they are all on the 7-10 day band wagon. i only have this weekend to get er ready for the dunes on easter weekend.. im booked up on workin on the shee till the dunes hit and there isnt anything worse then being out on a trip and having to work on a bike
