Actually Bombardier does make their new Skidoo 2-stroke engines with fuel injection (600cc and 800cc twins). They have been putting these engines in their sleds for 2 or 3 years now. I think they refer to it as "2-tech SDI" They use Semi-Direct-Injection into the transfer ports and claim that it runs as clean as their 4-stroke 1000cc engine.....but 2-stroke power Reading on, they say there is no loss in power, actually a slight gain with fuel injection over carbs. It also meets the 2006 EPA specifications!!! It's pretty cool that a company like Bombardier put forth the effort to inject a 2-stroke and make it run as clean as a 4-stroke without losing power. Wish some of the other big names did something like this instead of just dropping the 2-strokes here's a thought: injected 800cc twin tucked in a 'shee frame P.S. these engines have adjustable power valves!

My buddy is a hardcore e-bayer and almost croaked when he saw that! lol! He thinks the listing price would be in the thousands!! She better have a mighty fine ass and some fun-bags to boot
-
damn! Wonder if they can straighten that frame?? I think I've seen that before...did that happen just this last year?

Duncan Racing is the place that sells them. They're not cheap!! I just got the mid range with the fatboy 2 (standard) silencers with the exhaust clamps. All that & shipping was $630 without chroming. I found a place to get them ceramic coated that was cheaper than chroming. You can check out ebay too.

Sounds sweet. Gotta get my 'shee back together....can't wait to try my new pipes out!

I figured the dealer would be one of the only options. Doesn't bother me, just don't like dealing with some of those guys and their prices.

Hey guys, I'm pulling my head to have it shaved cause I'm getting it done for free Gonna have to replace the head gasket and wanted to know what I should go with and where the best place to get it? Should I just get a stock replacement or are there any good aftermarket gaskets? Also, what is the stock head gasket thickness and should I stick with that? It will be shaved 0.030" Thanks, Aron

My buddy has a dynoport 2:1 pipe on his and the top end does suffer. I just got some PTR mids..they are pricey. My second choice would have been the FMF SST's. Best thing to do is search around and read people's responses. This site has been extremely helpful.

Hey, I live in Rochester too, Lets go riding! Let's go...well when I get a chance to get away from homework and class RIT soaks up so much time. I live off campus in Rochester and keep the 'shee in my buddy's garge where I can tinker with it. I'd love to go ridin around here but don't know anybody and the weather is a bit chilly right now. I only insure mine, this state rapes us enough for me to register.

How Did U Fall In Love With The Shee
Stuff replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I got into cars, bought a Camaro which I've had for about 10 years....big money pit but worth it and now have a truck to boot(banshee hauler ) Last year I felt the need for another toy, I started lookin and researchin quads. Biggest concern was a 2-stroke sport quad. Went to ebay and looked around and took notice of the 'shee...seemed to be very popular. Searched the 'shee a little more which led me to this site and read the posts and became convinced! I rode a Blaster and 400-ex but wanted a 'shee. I even found my 'shee on this site in the classified adds!! Hopped in the truck, stopped by the bank and made a trip. Picked up a pretty much new 2002 with very little time on it...all stock. Got it home, kicked it over, let her warm a bit and off I went. First time I hit the powerband I swear my bones melted Changed my pants and hopped back on -
I'd rather look at a melted piston

If you buy a new 'shee and ride trails just ride it. Most likely the jetting will be good and check your plugs to make sure. I just got my '02 this summer and it is completely stock. I trail ride and it runs great. Just check your plugs out and do the other regular maintenace stuff and you will be alright. If you foul out plugs maybe clean your air filter or run your premix like everybody else has recommended (32:1 to 40:1) Another thing, 2-stroke love the higher RPMs and lugging them may cause the plugs to load up and foul out.

Janets Breast Fell Out 1/2 Time Show
Stuff replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Planned or not....I like boobs I didn't really care for the half-time show and ended up missing it I must thank you guys for hooking us up with pics!! -
From research I know Toomey isn't known for their midrange espescially the T-5, but I read their site and they claim the TR-6 pipe is more of a midrange designed specifically toward the stock engine. How much of a midrange pipe is the TR-6 as compared to, say like the PTR mids? I see Toomey has some dyno results, but what is the real deal as far as riding goes? Not tryin to step on any toes, but I'm fairly new to the 'shee and curious if the TR-6 is really a midrange or whatever it is.

Out of curiosity....how much do you guys pay for alcohol(by the gallon)?? Do you guys run methanol or ethanol?
-
I just got my PTR mids thursday They're a little pricey but I've heard mostly good things about them and I like the way they set in the frame so there is less chance of burning your legs. PTR mids @ Duncan Racing If my cousin's dynoport takes a dump he may be interested in yers.
