  1. Hey Blacksmith, I laughed when I first read your post(no offense), but that is an excellent plan to get your ass out of a jam.
  2. Most likely it is snow melting off your radiator, pipes, engine...what ever gets hot. If its anti-freeze it will smell kinda sweet and if you checked it out you may notice green watery stuff all over if there is a leak. Don't drink it! Pull your radiator cover and twist the cap off and see what's inside. Green watery stuff is good......air is bad. P.S. you know about this guy they call "ninjamaster"
  3. I'm in Rochester right now(goin to school) dogboystoy. You work at the Ginna power plant?
  4. I know if you're gonna run alcohol you will have to change things around. Not sure what's involved in banshee carbs(not much experience). Gas has an air fuel ratio of about 14.6:1 where methanol is about 6.5:1 and ethanol 9.0:1. This means jetting will change significantly and you will be burning a lot more fuel when compared to gas and more power. Not sure about mixing oil, best bet would look up the manufacture's reccomendations. I have noticed a few places that sell carbs converted and ready to go
  5. question #40...i think is what you are reffering to
  6. I don't know if anybody does It would be sweet if there was efi conversion kit for the shee!! I know some of the newer 2-stroke snowmobiles run efi. From what I have read, they inject fuel into the transfer ports and performance is just as good if not better along with better fuel economy.
  7. I bought it this last summer off a guy who claimed to put only 5 hours on it. think I found it in an add on this site...thanks HQ!!! Its a completely stock 2002 and it was spotless until I got it I have taken care of it, wash it after ride and will continue to do so.
  8. I'm not a photographer, but I tried to get a better shot for ya josegarcia124. You can notice where the grill attached because the bezzle a slight texture. That is a good idea Cotton eyed Joe, sand 'em down and spray 'em although it is kinda tough to see the marks. You may notice the marks only cuz you know they're there but yer buddies will most likely not notice 'em. If you want a really big pic try the link:wicked close up of headlight
  9. Thanks for the help guys. This will give me somethin to do today.
  10. Ahhhh, thanks for the info fixitrod. So, is the plate that goes in place of the e-brake on the rear caliper also called an 'e-brake block off'?
  11. Funny you post this now. I just did mine this afternoon and they look a lot better!! My one bezzle was kinda messed up from an encounter with a branch. I took a pair of snips and cut the grills out. Then I took a razor and cut them as close as I could. I went over them a few times to blend them in as good as I could with the razor. Its hard to notice unless you get close up and it was under garage lighting. P.S. the she is gettin stripped and cleaned up for the PTR mids comin this week!
  12. I went to link and read about the mod....seems easy. When you cut out the e-brake portion of the perch, where do get that piece that goes in place of e-brake (I think it is white in the link's pics)? You make it yourself? Maybe I mis-read or a little confused Already took the cable off, e-brake never seemed to work that good even with all the adjusting.
  13. I hear ya BansheeJerry! I just watched a '67 Vette with a Tri-power 427 go for a ridiculous amount. I should wear diapers when I watch that damn show.
  14. done "got the spins!" looped ...not sure what else, I'll tip back a few Beasts and maybe think of some
  15. I am in need of a calender, count me in! 8x10 for 2004 and when the time comes a new one for 2005.
  16. Stuff

    Exhaust

I thought they made the stock pipes dual-walled (pipe inside a pipe) to cut down on noise and to limit the engine output for insurance reasons. Also, I think they're packed pretty tight(in the frame) so you don't burn yourself as easily on them. That's why I think they are the way they are. Not sure though
  17. LOL! If I were to be slung off my 'shee and it was rolling down a hill, how much power would my skinny legs have to make to catch it and stop it???
  18. I have to disagree with dynos being "pointless" for measuring peak horsepower. How would you know which way to tune if you didn't measure power? They are a great tool to study, tune, and design engines and drivetrains. There are equations that can estimate power, torque and all sorts of stuff, but when it comes to the real output, a dyno (if properly set up) will give very accurate numbers. If measuring power on a dyno were pointless I guess NASCAR, GM, Ford, Dodoge, local speed shops (just to name a few) would be wasting their time if that were true. Just my thought.
  19. Hey Wallrat, you should stop changin your avitar....I enjoyed your last one more!!!
  20. Maybe that guy is trying out for the circus. Do they wear helemts in the circus? I know the cannon ball dude will wear one.
  21. How much is shipping on a load like that!?
  22. Dude you have a Z-28! I'd just cruise around with my buddies and show all the ricers what they're missin. Destroying property isn't cool and especially a Camaro (I am biased ) What goes around comes around.
  23. Your compression ratio is what dictates what octane you should run. Higher compression means higher octane. Running higher octane usually will not increase power but it does smell good
  24. Mine collect dust instead of roosting it. I went with Maxxis All-Traks.....can't believe the difference!!
  25. Agreed with Banchetta, 16oz. of slime settled in one spot would cause any wheel to be unbalanced. With that much slime I bet its hard to even hold on!!
