  1. Hey im about to buy a 2003 limited edition rolling chassis from a friend to build up a spare bike.. wanted to know if anyone knew where i could run the VIN number to make sure its clear before i invest in it?? thanks
  2. well i put a brand new rotor on with the new pads so i didnt think it would be the rotor. So most likely i need a new caliper? thanks
  3. I just replaced my rear pads and rotor about a week ago. When i took the old pads out, i noticed the inner pad ( pad closer to the axle carrier) still had about 1/2 - 3/4 pad still on it while the outter pad ( closer to the right-rear wheel) was completely down to bare metal. I went ahead and put new pads in and put in a wave type rotor. Its been about a week and the outer pad is almost completely down to metal again while the inner pad still has a good amount left on it. Has anyone had this problem before?
  4. i bought a new brake rotor and pads but the 4 allen head screws that hold the rear rotor onto the rotor hub are stripped and i can not get them out no matter what i try. I tryed heating them up, using vice grips, using a chizzle, and using a drill bit that fit perfectly but it sheared it into pieces. Any Ideas? Id feel pretty stupid if they were reversed threads..
  5. Quick question.. I found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=43974 and was wondering if these "wave type" rotors worked just as well as the stock ones or if they are prone to any problems?.. thanks
  6. ok thanks for the replies ill go ahead and try it out and see how shee runs. One other question, i need to replace my tranny oil because its pased due for new stuff but the only 10w30 i could find without the "energy conserving" label was the high mileage that had other additives in it. i did find 20w50 with out the energy conserving label, will that be okay to use?
  7. ok thanks, on the amsoil website it says that series 2000 should only be used in "racing machines" that are inspected and rebuilt often, does this mean that it will cause my engine to wear faster ?
  8. hey i just bought some amsoil series 2000 oil and plan to switch over to it from castor 927 after my gas in the tank goes dry. My question is, i am running castor at 32:1 with just fmf pipes around 800 ft above sea level and jetted i believe with 300 mains, should i reject to run amsoil 50:1? if so, any ballpark guesses?
  9. ok can you please PM it to me or post it when you get it? thanks
  10. ok thanks for the advice i think ill give eric gorr a call and see what he can do. Can Anyone that has eric gorr porting tell me if it produces pretty decent power gains?
  11. ok, its christmas time and i have a basically stock shee beside fmf pipes and i have heard a few good things about eric gorrs woods port and i heard its pretty cheap. I was wondering if i go ahead and get my cylinders ported, what else should/needs to be done as well such as the crank being welded or larger carbs and so on.. any info is appriecated
  12. yes sorry, i will get pictures this weekend and email them to anyone interested
  13. My stepbrother asked me to look around for people to buy his 2000 kx250 and his 03 z400. I know i know its not a banshee but both are in great condition, he is looking for $2000 for the kx and someone to take payments over for the z, hes had it for about 6 months. Located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, Ill try to get pictures as soon as i can.
