  1. AC? Seriously? With the welders they've got at AC they'd be better off using JB Weld. AC should get "worst" for every catagory they qualify for. All around pipe - T5's Drag - CPI or old Rockets Finish - Trinity Nerfs - Graydon's were nice, but they're out of biz now Eh I'm bored typing this already...
  2. When the rod pokes out the cylinder wall, you passed it.
  3. In California, which has pretty strict registration laws, you can get a new title if you have a bill of sale from the last registered owner. So if this guy's name is on the title, you're in the clear. If not, bummer dude.
  4. Don't buy jet kits, they're overpriced. Just pick up jets individually. If the plugs are black and oily, its rich. Try dropping a jet size.
  5. I made my own graydon style manifold and attached a used 35pwk off ebay onto there. Don't remember what I paid total, but it was easily less than $100. If you search around you'll see several posts by me saying how much I like running a single carb.
  6. The fake tits were out in full force, unfortunately them being on hot chicks was definately a minority. Talk about the 909 invading Orange County! WTF is up with trailer trash thinking that if they've got boobs, they need to wear a bikini top, in public, that's 2 sizes too small, regardless of their weight or body shape? Anyway, the people watching was phenomenal as per usual. Picked up a new rear skat trak paddle for my dirtbike - $30 Bought some non-80's riding gear for the wifey ( Elektra Link ) - $70 fender tool bag - $15 Gear bag - $45 (saw the oneil for $30 after I bought this one. DOH!) And a few other odds n' ends.
  7. ...in my pants. Thanks for the good wishes all. Had a nice day at the Sand Sports Super Show followed by a whole heap of kiteboarding.
  8. Here's pics: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...52358&st=30
  9. Here's mine: Etrex Legend and the mount: handlebar mount w/ waterproof battery cover When it comes to weather, I've only used it in a steady rain. I ride sand and tend to avoid wet conditions like the plague. The unit is waterproof except for the battery compartment. The handlebar mount comes with a new cover for the batteries that has an o-ring to increase the water resistance of the batt compartment. So it shouldn't be a problem dealing with splashes and such, dunno if I'd submerge it though.
  10. Not enough horsepower to turn the larger sprocket. Switch back to the 14T until you get some more mods.
  11. First one I had was a terry cable from Trinity. Then I replaced that ASAP with a motion pro cable for a blaster. I run a twist throttle though so maybe I grabbed one of their cables for their twist kits.
  12. Check for exhaust coming out both pipes. Also check the temp of each pipe and see if its about the same. My bet would be electrical but its easy to rule out single cylinder problems.
  13. Nope, mine bolted right up. What's not fitting? Oh and that terry cable has to be the stiffest piece of shit I've ever tried.
  14. Call Jim at Fullerton Sand Sports (in Stanton - don't ask me why). He'll tell you what to run and usually he's got better prices than RMATV. I'd guess 9 paddle. (714) 484-5977
  15. And that's a Throttle Override System, not a rev limiter.
  16. Blaster cable
  17. As others have said just a longrod doesn't do shit for power. You need to increase the stroke if you're looking for more oomph.
  18. I use a Garmin eTrex Legend with optional handle bar mount. Only problem I've had in 2+ years is on some hard hits the batteries will shake and it'll turn off. Easily fixed by wrapping the batt's in tape.
  19. I'm running a 35pwk on a ported 4mm
  20. A new set of knobbies has better grip in the sand than geckos. Sandstars are a good duning tire. Get em mounted on blue labels. Might want to drop 1 tooth on your front sprocket as well cuz Pismo sand is pretty damp.
  21. It just needs a few more sponsor stickers! Seriously though, its cuz you're letting more air get to the engine for the same amount of fuel. Anytime you change anything in the intake/combustion/exhaust lineup you need to think about jetting accordingly. Check my signature for BenBB's jetting FAQ.
  22. I'm using a RS 200w w/ a trailtech regulator - never gotten hot. RS changed their stator design somewhat recently, so maybe that's the difference. I only use my lights at night, but have the battery on for charging during the day.
  23. I've been running DC for about a year now without problems. In your case the only benefit you'd gain is your lights wouldn't dim when you got off the gas (or at least not as much), and you could turn the lights on without the bike running. I don't think its worth the hassle just for that. You lose some wattage by doing the conversion. So if the RS is rated for 200w, most you can actually put to it is somewhere around 160-170 without issues. I did mine cuz I went with HID's. Going DC for any other reason ain't worth it IMO.
  24. Its cuz chicks dig us.
  25. I f'd up my work computer last night too. That's what they get for using shitty anti-virus protection w/ shitty PC's. I had to manually track all that crap down - took about 1.5 hours. From now on I don't think I'll be visiting the HQ cept on my Mac at home.
