  1. Lincoln Ranger 9 ARC/MIG/TIG. Comes with leads for stick but can do TIG/MIG with additional accessories. Only 63 hours. Great condition! Comes on stand with wheels. It weighs 600lbs so local pickup only (So Cal).
  2. Take the throw away pegs and cut the peg part off flush with the mounting plate. Then test fit this peg in front of the stock peg, you'll notice that the mount plate curves down towards the ground so welding it like this would look ghetto. Mark on the cut peg where the mounting plate intersects and then cut the removed peg at a 45* angle to match the mounting plate. Put it back on in front of the stock peg and weld in place. There's no way you could break my welded pegs even if you wadded them up. I'll grab a picture tomorrow if I remember my camera.
  3. I run dual stock pegs as well. Works good and you can retain the heel guards if you do it right. I've made a few sets for members too.
  4. I don't know if he still frequents the board but an old member named DUNEDEMON had a buddy that had come up with some kind of vacuum tank powder chrome method. Trippy stuff but it looked 95% as good as chrome and held up like powdercoat.
  5. Just a long rod isn't going to give you any power, just a little reliability. A stroker on the otherhand, will give you more power throughout the RPM's, as well as a nice increase in torque. The only reason why I wouldn't get a stroker, is the price. The crank is cheap, but there's all kinds of crap that you need as well in order for her to run right. Do a search for 4mm, there's been several threads on this just in the past couple weeks.
  6. You might want to reconsider your position on suspension. A shee with pipes, filter, and some timing advance is a pretty fun bike to ride. After doing those mods though, I'd HIGHLY recommend doing the suspension! Then again since your engine is already toasted... Keep it mild to start off with, but plan for the future. Search for 4mm or stroker on here and get some info about all the junk you'll need (there's been several threads in the past couple weeks). A 4mm stroker with some good porting will already be more engine than your stock swingarm can handle, so I'd recommend getting a +2 or +4, depending on what your doing in the future. You should have somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 HP at that point - anything more than that and even a +4 swingarm has a hard time keeping the front end down. Once you go beyond +4 you really start to sacrifice duneability so think wisely on that one. On the other end, you could get some new a arms/shocks that will move the front wheels an inch forward.
  7. I'll agree that signing a petition probably won't do a thing to stop it. However, its not like it required any sacrifice on my part - cept the 30 seconds it took to fill it out. Even if there's only a 0.00001% chance that this petition could actually stop what's going on in the video, I'd say that's more than worth 30 seconds of my time.
  8. For the record, I'm no tree hugger and I'm certainly not a save-the-whales type. However as others have posted, its a pretty messed up vid. I don't really care if people want to eat dolphins (and all the mercury that meat contains), but there's no reason to be a dickhead when it comes to killing them off. If they went out and shot a couple in the head I wouldn't complain, seeing as how the steak on my table wasn't prepared much better than that. I do however love the ocean, and respect it as such. I'm judging your caliber based upon your total lack of finding any meaning to the video. In one comment you managed to prove that your narrow-minded, arrogant, and quite simple. There's nothing I can post here that will make you look like anymore of an ass, so I'll drop it at that.
  9. While I can agree that a 6 year old could have edited that video better (especially the 2nd one), I hardly think that comment was appropriate. I'm sorry that watching some f'd up treatment of animals isn't entertaining enough for you. Perhaps watching sheep get raped would be more "stimulating" to somebody of your caliber.
  10. I know this is technically off-topic but figured this would get more views here. The first video is pretty difficult to watch and shouldn't be watched if your kids are nearby. Don't forget to sign the petition. http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphin http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZCx0ORuDZFE http://www.petitiononline.com/golfinho/
  11. Advance the timing 4 degrees, then ignore the engine mods until you get better suspension.
  12. I agree. Fix shit while its cheap, a rebuild costs WAY more. Here's a better pic:
  13. Apparently there's also something fishy about the way they rate them. They're only 250w on the bench and using 2 circuits or something along those lines. Forget electrex and get a Ricky Stator.
  14. When I rebuilt my engine my basket was notched to hell. I ended up putting a Barnett basket in there. Far as I know, that's the only basket that really addresses this problem. Its a billet aluminum basket with stainless inserts on the ears. So far its held up great!
  15. Don't bother with aluminum, it'll be trashed after only a few trips. When changing # of teeth, its sometimes necessary to add or remove chain links. Other than that they should fit just fine.
  16. You need: stroker cut domes 795 series pistons new bore for the new pistons reeds (if you don't already have them) porting carbs air filter setup for new carbs billet impeller (if you don't have one) full gasket kit HD clutch springs new gears + chain pipes (if you don't already have them) Stroker cranks are cheap, its all the other junk you need with it that adds up.
  17. $1000 for a top end? Holy crap that's insane! Do your own work, it'll cost you about 1/4 that much to do it yourself.
  18. J-arms are always going to go through bushings though. I was changing mine out twice a year before I swapped over to A-arms. IMO its worth the time to do the conversion.
  19. Your tire size sounds right for your application but you would have been better off running fewer paddles. You're right on the edge of where you should be running 8 paddle extremes/9 paddle haulers. Generally the rule is to run 1 less paddle on the extreme vs. the hauler. But there are instances where one is a better choice over the other, such as yours. You don't NEED to switch tires, but you will lose a little bit of potential speed once you hit 4th and above. Next time around, go for some 8 paddle extremes. You'd be better off running the stiffer extremes with fewer paddles at that tire diameter. Most banshee owners love to over-paddle their bikes b/c no way could a 4 stroke with less HP need more paddles than them. They forget to realize that 4 strokes have all that torque down low while the shee does better with the wheels spinning. Extra paddles will get you out of the hole quicker but once you hit the higher gears all that extra drag is gonna kill ya. What I'm saying is that there's a really good chance that you could trade your 9's for some 8's.
  20. Generally AC stuff is really poor quality. The welds are terrible and the fit is hit or miss. DG is better but there's still some fitment issues from time to time. PRM makes great stuff so I'd go with them hands down!
  21. Also check that your carbs are properly sync'd. I've also seen cracked reeds cause this problem as well.
  22. Just buy the 120 and take off links as needed. That's what I did when I put on my +2. The price difference is like $4 between the shortest number of links vs. the most. RMATV also sells a $10 chain breaker in case you don't have one yet.
  23. Any chance that you can take a picture or 2? I'm really not understanding what your problem is.
  24. I'm running an almost identical setup cept I got my stock head cut and had the porting done to match the added stroke (no spacer plate). Jetting was a little tricky with the single carb but not that bad. My shee's got heaps of power everywhere now and I can actually lug it like a 4 stroke in case I miss a shift or am just feeling lazy. PM me if you have any questions as I'm not on here that much anymore.
  25. VIN is on the lower frame rail on the left side, just forward of the left footpeg. You can try to sell it without a title, but generally you'll get a lot less money. Most people don't want the headache of having to do all that work to register a new toy, so unless its a helluva deal...
