  1. I got the trinity cv mainifold 35mm setup with airbox adaptor.. I was kinda mad at how much I had to grind down on the carb, but its understandable because they make one adaptor to fit the 33 and 35mm carbs, so in order for it to fit both they just made it fit the small one. I just used a file around the outer lip till it fit. I didnt take any length off of it, which is what you make it sound like you did. I too wish I got the K&N setup, but thats only because I hate my airbox more then anything. I have my airbox so modified that its basically not there. But it still causes a pain everytime I want to work around that area. Other then that, I havent jetted mine in yet, only because I dont know how to jet, and my local stealership doesnt have any jets I need.. I dont see how you feel it will fall off though, mine fits snugly between the 2:1 adaptor and the airbox piece. Once I start to jet it in I will like it though, just losen the clamps, rotate 90 degrees and bam, easy access to the bottom! Darrin
  2. I got the kick start repair done by holyman.. Great work, still is good and that was about 5 months ago. Before I had that done I just had a hose clamp attacked around my brake line, then i put the kicker in it when not in use.. Keeps the rattle away, but its a pain in the ass cause everytime you want to kick it over you gotta reach down, pull it out.. put it in there before you go...all that, so... Holyman fixed that prob.
  3. I just got new FMF Fatties (had oldschool gold series) and the bolt that I used to hold the pipes to the hangers wasnt stock.. SO, since the new fatties have a nut built in, I need to know what size bolt i need to buy.. I have the pipes all mounted and would like to just stop by the hardware after work and get a few bolts, so if you know, please let me know! Thanks Darrin
  4. let me know what you come up with for all your jetting.. i am running similar setup but havent had a chance to change jets!
  5. Ya, after watching no replies come in too fast (which I expected for a tuesday afternoon) I went out with a flashlight to see why they wouldnt go in.. The rubber seal was bent in and filled with sand and crap.. Cleaned it out, went right in. Thanks
  6. Hey, I took the swingarm off to install my TM design works chain slider and have had a few problems getting everything back together. I have the swingarm bolt back in, so now all I need to do is get the shock linkage hooked up and connected. My problem is that I cant get the bottom of the shock to fit where it needs to go.. There are 2 pieces that go on the sides of the shock and then it is supposed to fit in between a spot on the linkage, then a bolt goes through. But I cant get the shock in there with both those pieces on the ends. I am trying to get them to just sit flat, but they wont. Clymers is no help.. Doesnt even mention them! Only shows the picture, which suprises me.. Any tips?
  7. UPS can do some serious damage.. But this is the box my pipes came in.. No dents, no scratches, so bending an axle... I doubt it.
  8. I want to go there this weekend, but I dunno if I will.. I'm up in traverse city from friday till the next sunday, gotta drive to lansing so i might just go to local trails so I dont go broke..
  9. I have one of those... added 300 HP, also changed my powerband from red to BLACK...bet you all have never seen those before
  10. i dunno if they do or not, because i've never used a dyno.. nor seen one. But if you wanted to get MPH on one it wouldnt be hard at all. All they need to know is the OD of the roller on the rear wheels, and hook a sensor up to it to see how many times it spins around.. Same concept as hooking a speedometer up to your banshee. Measure the diameter of the wheel, input into the computer, and everytime the sensors line up means its gone the OD of the wheel. But like I said, ive never used nor seen a dyno... So I have no idea if they have them
  11. i dont know what you guys are thinking.. But I know that lime green adds at LEAST 15 HP... And its a civic, so slap a few stickers on there, a fart cannon, and your pushing 9.00 sec on a 1/4 mile. 110 would be 3rd GEAR....
  12. all that to keep up with a stock banshee... wow
  13. Nope, sold it on ebay... $460+shipping

    FedEX

Anything going locally usually doesnt route out away from the city it starts in.. 2 hours away, off it goes to the other side of the world... But anything within say 30 mins is usually just left at the local facility. I see people bring in next day airs that are literally going to go down the road 3 buildings..

    FedEX

Routed incorrectly....that sucks. If anyone ever watches a next day air package in transit it wont go straight there...often the complete opposite direction. Shipping from Michigan to Maine my package first went to kentucky..

FedEx = Bad UPS = Good Stick with what you know is good, and see what brown can do for you!
  17. Old style FMF pipes, they are chrome, pretty damn good shape for being as older. They come with powercore silencers Only thing wrong is the left side pipe rubbed the head. The person I got them from patched a dent or hole, and since then it has warn down the patch a little.. I straightened my engine up so it didnt rub anymore, so its good to go. Cant see it when mounted, and more then likely doesnt effect performance. I will get some pictures when I take them off and clean them up.
  18. yet again, new post....didnt see it comin. i just check my posts and by the time this one gets a hit its on page 3 or 4 in my history As of now I'm right here... Just ordered FMF Fatty fronts to FIT my Q series silencers. Had oldschool FMF gold series, didnt fit well.. Got the chain slider, install will be tomarrow or the next day. Ordered head gasket... think mine is fried. Went to the dunes for the first time since I had my sandstars and Q series...all set, shee broke down.. So I'm fixin that. Switching back to stock radiator hoses.. These clear ones arent workin for me. Ordered 2 things of engine ice... YUM Ordered pipe hangers from Stan... YOU DA MAN! Put a rear light on.. looks fresh. J-arms....still waiting for paint. Will update this all in a few weeks...(when someone replies)
  19. Anyone think we should try doing a sunday-monday? I just know if its a nice weekend voucher lines will piss ya off on a friday or saturday... Easier said for me cause I wont be working anymore at the end of this month, but still, sunday and monday would be just as fun..Less hotties though
  20. shit.....i know thats not dollars, but next time i get a hair cut...i will just sell my left overs and pay for the cut..WHAT...THE...HELL.
  21. How old do you have to be to get in? 18 i hope...
  22. mine popped off 2 times at the dunes... OUCH...my leg doesnt feel good.. It also happend a few weeks ago but thought i just didnt have them tight.... Switching back to stock. Toughest thing is going to be the fact that I dont have a place where I can really test it out.. It didnt happen when it just ran a few minutes, it was like 15 mins of hillclimbing and things like that.
  23. northwestern side of michigan... Probably 4 hours from the state boarder, but dont quote me on that.
  24. Try this... post a new one, this one has alot of stuff and people probably arent reading it all. Post SILVERLAKE trip, and the dates as the topic, and then in there, say right off the bat that we need a headcount, where we are staying.. Basically the who, what, where, when, crap.. then at the bottom put read next post for details. Then post what you posted first in this one. That will probably get more people to look. I know I'm in for sure, you gotta let me know the dates so I can be there and all, buy I wouldnt miss it for the world.
  25. as far as a speedometer, I bought the trailtech, and yes.. It kicks ass, but I would suggest getting a GPS instead. That way you can see your speed, dont have the pain in the ass install, and you can also see where you are if you happen to take the wrong trail. I thought of a GPS the day after I put my trailtech on, woulda saved a 6 hour install.....
