I was going to try and zoom in on the plastics to see the name, but when saving it noticed the file name was yfm350, which is the warrior.. SO, they posted the wrong picture with the banshee, the wrong picture with the warrior, and then the webmaster was drunk so he put the wrong name with that video that had "new" warrior... yfm350. Either that or this site has some inside info about the newest banshee...

Any tips on getting the inner axle nut free?

isnt it amazing how it takes this much to get that damn thing off, but once you put it back on, it doesnt matter how tight you get it, that bitch wont stay put... -

some nylon braided ones I got at the hardware.. I think I might switch back to black, those never came off... probably unrelated, but if it works...why fix it.

I didnt get to see much since my shee broke, but there are a few spots with water as deep as maybe 5, 6 feet? I couldnt really tell, just saw some big trucks driving through it and seeing the water almost up to the cabs.. The flat spots by the beach are pretty wet, but for the most part it looked dry enough for me.. Keep in mind I never saw it when it was totally dry, nor did I see it when it was "flooded".. I ended up sleeping in my car at some hotel...ya, im cheap, but who cares. Woke up at like 11, and went and got in line for vouchers..

I saw you on my way out.. Saw the rocket pipes on your red and white shee.. That was saturday right after that little shower. My shee didnt do well... First time there, place is AWESOME, but my shee got knocked down for the count.. Still trying to find out the problem. I had the duct tape, but saw no one else with it.. Oh well, maybe next weekend Even though I got to ride like a total of 30 minutes, I still had a blast, I will probably be up there every weekend from now till I go to school in August. Where do you guys stay?
-
Yep. Also, check the steam purge hose to make sure your gas tank isn't pinching it off. I had a problem with this once. Stan, I think you about nailed it.... I havent gotten a chance to work on her yet, was out of town till today. But I bet that hose is kinked under the gas tank. I pulled it tight so I could zip tie it to the frame, when I try and pull it up towards the radiator it wont move, and at the other end it cant go anywhere either... I am also going to try the head gasket theory. Would overheating cause it to rev higher? Or should I start looking for an air leak? When i say rev higher its not like WOT or anything...or when a carb is stuck a little open, but on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is WOT, and 1 is a standard idle... I would probably say she is at a 3. If that helps any...
-
I thought that coulda been it, because the line coming from the radiator looked pinched.. BUT, there is plenty of coolant in the overflow...
-
are those the 2 black hoses that run to the back?
-
Ok, well first off, my shee started out fine, but after riding slowly in line to get out to the dunes, she started to idle faster. I didnt think too much of it, but eventually one of my radiator hoses blew off... Ya, that sucks when your in the middle of the dunes and that happens. So anyways, I had someone get me a screwdriver and a bottle of water, reconnected everything, poured the water in, was riding... and BAM, happend again.. This also happend a few weeks ago when she was hot. Hose just blew right off.. Different spots each time, and I tightened them down as much as I could.. SO, my problems are... What would cause my hoses to blow off? Is there too much pressure building up? What types of things should I look at since she started to idle high. When I started it up it would idle fine a few seconds then bam, start going sky high.. Check my carb slides, fine. I'm thinking I have an air leak somewhere. But before I start looking for that, what else would cause that? The carb wasnt sticking at all.. Brand new 35mm single carb setup. So my first trip to the dunes ever was AWESOME, until my shee took a plunge...

I was gonna leave but it started raining... heading up tonight, I will be flying the duct tape!

I'm thinking I'm going to just do what cabinboy said (undo the shock at the linkage) and undo the chain, then the swingarm should come right off shouldnt it??? Just one bolt correct? Hopefully its that simple.. I only have about an hour to get it done.
-
Hey, I just got my Chain Slider in and I'm at work.. I have a few spair hours after work to do the install, and was wondering for those of you who have removed the rear swingarm if you had any tips or tricks to get it done quick. I'm leaving friday night so I dont want to mess anything up, and dont have much time to fix problems. So, if you have a fastest method to removing the swingarm so I can put this slider on there, please post.

oh come one....wheres the e-blade???

haha, I would like to see what he wrote.. "Fast shipment, product as described, but seller wouldnt give me the item for free." Ya, and as for the sale there.. If the guy doesnt pay in 3 weeks, and expects you to wait even longer for the payment, thats neg feedback no matter what. If you cant pay, DONT BID. Guess people just dont read the directions..
-
I know this might be hard to do, but if any of you get a chance.. Will you take a picture (with no flash of course) from the seat of your quad at night so I can see how bright some of them are? I would like to get someone with small lights to do that so I can see how they output.. And also stock lights would be cool too. If anyone does this for me thanks ALOT, cause this is how I will really decide. I was looking at some of those "lazer" lights they sell on ebay for like $30. I dont really like the looks of those huge ass lights, but then again if they are easy to mount I could just slap them on if i'm going to ride at night.
-
haha, sredish.. I like the half cut fronts.
-
Ya, as long as its in august I will be there.. Unless its after the 20th.. I'm going to be up in TraverseCity from the 31st of July till August 7th, so if its in those dates I will come down, but i would rather have a full weekend that I'm free.
-
But why would he bid if he knew he was in a situation where he wouldnt be able to complete the transaction quickly. It all goes in the same bucket as dead-beats. If you cant pay for it, dont bid on it.. I know if I sell something I dont want to sell it in a month from the end of auction date, I want to get the money in a week, and send it on its way. If someone emails me during the auction and says, hey, I cant pay for a few weeks is that ok, and I give them the ok, thats cool. But most of the time payments are due in 7 days, end of story. When was the end date? I keep hearing the 30th for payment, but that means nothing unless the date the auction ended was given.
-
ya, thats what i was thinking... Wouldnt effect me that much cause I plan on just riding around and shit.. I'm sure if I meet up with some fellow HQers I will line up if they want, but for the most part I'm just out to ride.
-
Just out of curiousity, how in the hell are you going to triple the price of something after the auction ends... If he bids to $30 you cant be like, well.....you have to pay me $100. Thats why eBay is turing into a crap place, its because alot of kids can just make accounts and bid on shit and not pay, and then because people try to be assholes, or dont understand that its you bid you pay, or if you list something you SELL.
-
I get the same problem... I think I'm running the wrong kinda plugs though... Mine say N2C on the white part, and 489 on the piece right above the threads.

Hey, my next trip is to silver lake, never been to the dunes before, and a guy I know said I should jump up about 5 teeth on my rear sprocket.. Good idea or not?
