  1. as far as car audio is concerned, you dont need any extra batteries or alternator upgrades.. Nor do you need a cap. It would just be wasted money. However, if you have other things like lights or whatever else you have on your vehicle, you might need it for that.. But like I said, as far as car audio and the amp, your problem was simply a bad ground connection, no need for more power..
  2. I was talking about wattage on your amps pushing the subs..
  3. Sorry this is a 2nd post on this, but I got replies for purple and too much chrome.. Decided not to consider chrome, so I just put up the 4 colors I would actually do... heres a pic as well.
  4. High output alts will need you to modify your power running into them.. If you dont know what your doing i suggest taking it to a shop. However, how many watts are you running? I dont believe that was ever mentioned...
  5. good mod for your 300ex would be buy my banshee frame I have for sale, and then pick up a used banshee engine to slap on it, thats a good start.
  6. finally got pics...wow, only took me a month.
  7. I wasnt talking about holding the clutch, im saying that circular peice on the front of the flywheel.
  8. What I did, which might not be a good idea, but it worked, was put a wrench on there that was the right side, then took a pair of channel locks and put them on the end of a wrench so you have a longer torque arm. Then I took a pair of channel locks and grabbed onto that circular peice that is on the front of the flywheel, it just sticks out about 1/3 of an inch maybe less.. then another set of channel locks onto that set to extend the torque arm.. have someone hold one and you hold the other and pull hard...you will think it wont budge but if its like mine it didnt move at all then BAM right off.. And i turn to the expert.... boonman, is that safe? Worked for me, but I used an air impact wrench to put it back on, that was alot easier!
  9. I had my flywheel lightened and my head milled .020 over (wish I woulda done .030 but only because I love the results i got and want more.. ) but I was extremely suprised when I got my shee back together and riding.. I would say that without a doubt, it was worth the money to have it done, its probably dollar for dollar the best mod i've done, which isnt saying much because I havent done any other engine mods, but I loved the results...
  10. nope, still didnt sell it... but i played with it to make sure it was working right and it still shoots fast!
  11. its because if they tell you its on backorder you will cancel (more times than not) but if they dont tell you, and the product is entered into the computer...your locked into the sale and will have to pay to have them "re"stock it...bastards I ordered a part for a friend and then they said it was backordered, I called them to tell them to cancel, and they didnt...got the product 3 weeks later and saw the bill on the credit card. needless to say, i never told them to cancel it... and it would be 15% to restock it and $30 for shipping.... grr
  12. but why would I switch back to stock? I think I will go with some turbines... I can get a good price if I just be patient i've always wondered.... Do you gain power with aftermarket silencers? I remember my friend buying just a silencer for his blaster and he was like "WOAH MAN ITS LIKE TWICE AS FAST!" but I just cant see power coming from a silencer change... at least that much.. So will I lose power switching from powercore II to a stock silencer? I LIKE THE BLING BLING THOUGH!
  13. do the turbine core II give less performance then the old school powercore II's?? Because for $130 for both, I might as well buy some new turbine's..
  14. where is a place I can get cheap spark arrestors..? ***EDIT*** I have fmf fatties (the old ones) with powercore II's, what do I need in order to get them to be "legal" as far as spark arrestors go..?
  15. holy crap, i just bought one from terry's cables... $58
  16. I need a twist throttle cable, I have the carb tops that came with the TORS removal kit, but I have a twist throttle. I want to order a cable but everywhere I look wants to sell them with the twist throttle.. Anyone know a cheap place to buy just the cable?
  17. Ive got a banshee frame... Try that instead.
  18. ok, so far ive heard... Flip the wheels around, airbox mods, rejet, buy pegs, and port with a chainsaw.. Not trying to be an ass or anything, but my post was asking if there were any other mods you could do other then the airbox, and wheels flipping around.. When you say blaster or raptor pegs are you refering to foot pegs?
  19. This question has been posted alot, but not so bluntly put.. Are there any tweakings, mods, cuttings, anything.. So increase power, airflow, torque, ANYTHING on the shee that are free? When I say this, I mean mods like removing the snorkle or airbox lid. Reversing front tires for wider stance... IF YOU KNOW OF ONE, POST IT!!
  20. well thats your first problem.. Flint is pretty dirty..
  21. any more oppinions?
  22. I got the TORS eliminator kit, it came with a throttle cable for thumb throttle. I have a twist. So I have a BRAND NEW throttle cable for a banshee with TORS removed, and I want a throttle cable for twist throttle (prefer new(er))
  23. i will post them tomarrow hopefully... My digi cam batteries are dead.. =( Its really clean though, VIN is perfectly readable, that light grey color that yamaha made them.
  24. I have a 99 frame, great shape... I have a buyer in a few weeks for it for $400 plus shipping, but I just thought about how I wanted to get some new shocks or some +2+1 A-arms... Would trade ( i will pay shipping on frame for trade )
