  1. Just like blue said, it's all in the porting. Any clown can port a cylinder but if you make one to many cuts or grind in the wrong place you might as well melt that cylinder down and make fishing waits with it. Jim has been porting longer than most of the people on banshee hq have been alive ( no offense guys). Just have him do your motor and see!
  2. After Jim did my motor my banshee was scary fast. All the guys I race with want to get a peak at my cylinders so bad, especially my old motor builder when I smoked his ass at the nationals. You think you are fast now, try a passion motor.
  3. That is to funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't even waste my time or energy to throw my boost bottle.
  4. Pull like hell they will go on. You might bust your nuckles once or twice but they will go on. Use long needle nose pliers.
  5. Give Jim at Passion Racing a shout and ask him. He set up my stroker motor for me. He should be able to give you some help.
  6. Jim moving out to Cali. is a bad idea, because I live about a 1/4 of a mile from him. If Jim moves to Cali. who will build my motors for the nationals. I'm just kidding, but for real he builds the fastest motor I have ever rode and thats no shit, I would line it up with anything out there. If anybody has questions about Jims motor give me a shout and I will tell you anything you want to know.
  7. Damn blue, I have a -2" and a -4" I will sell you for that much.
  8. Damn Tats you must have hit one hell of a jump or one hell of a crash. I watched Johnny Hail come up short on a 90ft triple and destroy himself and everything on his bike but the hyper-tech rims.
  9. I would have to agree with everybody when they say to get your pipes first but if you are going to buy carbs now I would get the 34pj's. The 34pj's are a good carb for a motor that just has pipes only and will work good with a stroker motor. You always want to think ahead when buying new things for your banshee because you dont want to have to buy it twice.
  10. I paid $800 for mine but I called them at 3pm one day and told them I wanted them to over-night them and they were there at 10am the next morning. For the price you cant beat them, try to price a set of 10x10 rear dual beadlocks and a set of 10x6 front beadlocks in any other type of rim!!
  11. I have been running them for awhile. They are awsome. I have been hit several times and they still didnt brake, and they still look good. I hear that hyper- tech is in a law suit about some copy right laws on the rims and they are not selling them right now. I had a guy offer me a grand for mine after I heard that I had to tell him to go get bent . If you can get a set I would say get them you will not be sorry.
  12. Got1 that is a nice lookin bike. After Jim did my motor I had a little problem getting my bike to idle and it would hesitate off the bottom but I just changed my jetting around and my needles until it was right. Have you raced that 152 in your picture yet?
  13. Do you still have your airbox? I have the same motor and I cut the back half of my airbox off. My jetting is 172 main and 48 pilot and it pulls like crazy all the way from the bottom to the rev-limiter.
  14. Shootout photo !!!!
  15. I'm going to try and go to all of them. Right now my bike is all apart but hopefully I can get it put back together. I have been talking to cotton eye joe about a swingarm. What kind do you have?
  16. What kind of riding do you do? If you just trail and dune ride I would get the 30mm, but if you race I would look to get alittle bigger carb like a 34mm.
  17. The only clutch that I have ever had good results from is the stock yamaha clutch with the 3 fzr 600 springs. Everybody I race with uses the same set-up.
  18. Look in the dirtwheels mag you will find some 34pj's pretty cheap, I'm not sure where I saw it but they were pretty cheap.
  19. That is what I use. On my wheels I use a 9/16 that is the same thing as a 14mm. but if all else fails use a cressent wrench!! works good last long
  20. Hey Jinx are you going to take that? Tell D34 to make sure everything is tight on his bike before he races you. (LOL)
  21. Yes you have to use resistor plugs. BR8ES
  22. I have got the set-up that Jim is telling you about. I run a 4mm stroker/ 5mm longrod with 34 pj's and that is the best running motor I have ever raced with. I have so much bottom end and can still run with bike that have trinity cylinders. Try his set-up and you will like it.
  23. I have the no-link swingarm and I like it better than the stock link set-up. I use the afco rear shock. I have 2 no-link swingarms one is -2" and the other is -4". The thing you will need to do is move your upper shock mount, the further away from the swingarm pivot bolt the better performance you get from your shock. After I did mine I could tell a big difference my bike would hook-up better on dry-slick tracks.
  24. I like my dyna ign. I have programed mine alot of diferent curve. I have one for short tracks and a couple for large ovals.
  25. d34 send me some tapes of paducah so the next time I race there i will know how to get around the track fast. I know you ride it enough to know the best set-up.
