  1. I need to weld a shock res.
  2. Trash the toomey's and get the cpi's, I'm just kidding dont trash the toomeys but do get cpi's. I had toomey's and then got cpi's and sold my other pipes.
  3. send me info on the bike!
  4. I have been racing a few little indoor races around here, but I have been riding a guys 250r. My bike is getting the frame worked on , I'm re-doing my shock mounts and lighten the frame by cutting off alot of things that I dont need. After I get that done its going to be powder coated. You like the new rims they are the hyper-tech carbin fiber rims, I like them they are indestructable. Yes I will be at all the nationals this year, are you going race anyother ones besides paducah?
  5. Get the CPI pipes, but as soon as you can get a port job and bigger carbs. If you dont you will not be getting the full potential of the pipes.
  6. Ben coverd just about everything you will need to know. The best thing is to set your bike like Ben said and go race. You need to race every chance you get and every kind of track you can go to ( indoor, outdoor, tt, big ovals). When you go to the races dont try to enter a class that you are not ready for it will only discourage you and you will loose interest. As you get time racing you will be able to move up. Good luck and if there is anything I can do to help just ask. d34 you been racing any?
  7. I've got a 4mm stroker/5mm longrod and run 34 pj's and they seem to work pretty good but I have been thinking of getting some bigger carbs. I think with the crank, port work and cpi pipes I can flow so much more. So I would at least get a set of 34 mm carbs, but that is just what I like.
  8. Get the magura 1/4 twist throttle.
  9. Have somebody cut your swingarm dont pay the big bucks for the aftermarket ones. A cut stock swingarm works great I run a -2 and -4 swingarm.
  10. I just removed my colant bottle and ran my overflow hose down the frame with zip ties. Every time I check my colant it is full and every time I ride, I ride it like I hate it.
  11. Hell yea they are the best pipe out there right now. You will want to throw your fmf's in the trash.
  12. V-FORCE are the best reeds I have used so far!
  13. The size of the carbs depends on what kind of riding you are doing. I race 1/2 mile ovals so I like bigger carbs. The bigger the carbs the more bottom end you lose, if you just trail ride or race small tracks I would keep the smaller carbs for more bottom end. The 28mm pk's are a real good all around carb, its not so big you will loose your bottom end.
  14. I think you get better results with the seat cover !! Mine is collecting dust on my shelves in the garage.
  15. I have 3 of the fzr 600 springs in my bike. It cut down on the slipping. If you are just drag racing you could try putting all 6 of the fzr springs in it, if it gets to hard to pull go back to 3.
  16. I am currently taking my bike apart to powder coat when I get my amp link off I will let you know.
  17. Thanks. have you had any problems with your?
  18. I have a set of intake without the boost bottle hole predrilled, I get better all-around throttle responce. You can order the intakes like this from prodesign. If you do it will takes some tunning to get your bike to idle, but it will.
  19. The amount of money I spent on the stroker/longrod crank I bought it should be welded. If I find out it is not I'm going to be pretty pissed . That is the reason a person buys the crank. I knew I should have bought that twister crank instead of the hotrod.
  20. Thanks, I will give them a call.
  21. Does anybody know where I can get a 39 tooth rear sprocket?
  22. On mine I have cut the bottom and the trimmed the top of my airbox. After that I cut the little tabs on the side of the airbox off so now there is no restriction on how far back the airbox is moved, oh yeah I took the antifreeze bottle off, so now I put the clamps on the carbs and zip tie the airbox to the bolt holes where the antifreeze bottle was bolted in. I have not had any problems with it. I also have pretty easy access to my airfilter.
  23. I have the rear mairer fender on my banshee. I didn't have any problem putting it on, the only thing is don't have the 2 holes from the grab bar predrilled you have to do it.
  24. Go to NOSS MACHINE and get some reed spacers, that will cure the problem.
  25. The best clutch I have used is a stock yamaha clutch with 3 of the fzr 600 springs. I am riding flattrack and have never put my bike on a dyno but I would guess I have around mid 70's on hp and never had any problems with stock clutch.
