Tape up all the edges of the box real well on the bottom and put your engine inside a thick trash bag. Go get yourself some of that insulation foam stuff in a can that hardens. Spray some in the bottom, and then when its hard enough that your engine will still form to it a little bit put your engine in, just make sure its hard enough that it wont sink to the bottom. And then fill the rest of it up , cut the top off that overflows out, tape up the top and you should be good to go.

If meat is up for it, we could always do the whole coalfest thing (whats it called) that we've been wanting to have forever now. If I remember correctly their'd be a place that we could camp in the strippins? Maybe not anymore, I dont know. Theres gotta be a place we can camp close enough by though that we could just load up in the morning and go ride. Make a good weekend out of it. I know the strippins is a big area that has lots of trails and such and it'd be a good time. I think its kinda early to set a date time up, if we do camp because who knows when winter is truly going to let up. We're gonna have to set it up that if its gonna rain through the weekend that we have a raindate for the next weekend or such. It'd be nice if it rained until thursday, and then let up. I just dont want to get done riding, and then it get cold....and have to camp like that.

East Coast ATV has motors

Just a thoughtful note, the carbon fibers arent going to flex as much and if one does happen to break its gonna sit in your engine longer before it burns up and goes out the exhaust. I got the boyeson dual stage reeds and love the throttle response I got out of them. Completely changed my quad

I always use the hondalube stuff. It's worked great in every 2stroke I've ever used it with. A noticeable difference in quads I've gotten in their shifting from what was run in them before. As soon as I put it in my banshee from running regular 10-30 I noticed a complete improvement in shifting and finding neutral. It looks a lot like ATF and it lasts a decent amount of time before you need to change it out. Like 4 something a quart.

lol holeshot. When I first saw this post thats the link I was thinking about. Saw it like 3 or 4 years back but never remembered where it came from. Thats some funny shit. Especially the longer you let it go on. -
I dont care....any snow is good snow.....if it covers the road surface the banshee's out ripping on it.

I have a helmet cam from helmetcamera.com. Got the better resolution one, and the pictures are great with it. I also bought the fanny pack (POS just use a backpack) and bought the toggle switch thingy that you can connect on your body somewhere to turn the camera on and off and the cap fell off it before I even got to use it (had to glue it back on) The camera is great .....but I havent gotten to use it much because my first ride out with it I did a cartwheel with my shee, busted the camcorder (probably wouldnt of if it was in a backpack), bent my a-arm pretty badly.....and havent gotten the camcorder fixed yet. But its getting fixed as we speak so I'll hopefully be getting some film again shortly. It just suck that I need a computer system upgrade....it doesnt support me uploading sound with my video to the computer. (damn old computers)

I saw last night on the news it was either him or another dem. that was saying he also supports abortion up until the time of birth.......thats just plain sick. That's like pulling an 8 1/2 month old fetus out and killing it......

Looking for some aftermarket pipe clamps. Sick of mine leaking. Need some aftermarket pipe hangers as well, the rubber is dryrotting on the one stock one making my pipe vibrate sometimes. Let me know if you've got any good ones laying around that arent gonna leak. Thanks

one last thing, did you pull the plug caps back and make sure that they're actually connected? I doubt it would happen on both sides....but its worth a look.

I ground the stock brakeline tabs off my frame and put the on the vertical frame post. Here's two pics to get an idea. You can see the top of the one on this pic. And here's how they're mounted from a side view.
-
On the whole 80 in an ex frame, they also put them in 250R chassis'. Kids that are racing in the 80cc classes are to big to ride a quad that an engine that size would come in. My buddy had a YZ80 that was worked to the balls and it was the funnest thing in the world to ride. The sucker ripped for what it was. Kept up with most 125's. And a stock YZ125 is about even with a piped/filtered shee. It was like riding a powered bmx bike. You could throw it around and do anything you wanted with it. I would think that an engine like that in a 400ex frame would be pretty badass

How hard is it to install. I'll take it off your hands. Where you live in the Lehigh Valley? I'm in Lansdale off the Turnpike. I could shoot up 309 or the Turnpike. Pm me and let me know

If your gonna install a grease fitting your gonna have to pull bearings and drill holes in the center tube that keeps the bearing inner races from squishing in. You'll also have to remove the inner seals on the bearings. Getting the axle out use an old socket that will rest up against where the hub rests and hammer on the socket.....never the axle itself. If you dont have one already, get a compression gauge. It will give you a good feel of what is happening inside your engine. Clean and oil your filter well. Check all bolts. Any that are loose at all, pull and loctite them. Get the rear of your shee up off the ground held up by the footpegs, and pull back and forth and check out your swingarm bearings. I always check out my quad in good advance from top to bottom, front to back before going on any big rides. Put new spark plugs in. (solid tops). I've never had a problem with my shee when I go out somewhere for a long ride because I know that everything is sound on it. Then I crash it and have to rig it to get through the rest of the weekend....but hey....thats part of the fun.

What cabinboy said. I've given up on those spin off tops. I've loctited them, tightened them with pliers and those suckers still come loose. I've actually had one strip while I was riding and didnt have any spares. Luckily I could put the tip on upside down and get it to thread on a little, and got it back to camp.
-
get yourself a compression gauge. I'd have to say that you probably wont need race fuel to run, but I know when you do run race fuel, its a cleaner burning fuel and it will make your bike a little bit faster. In general though, if you could get a very clean pump gas, the closer the octane level is to what is needed for your compression, the better. I know my buddy on his atc250R, I can beat him by quite a bit when he uses regular fuel, but when he runs race fuel we're dead even or he's even beating me by a little bit.

Dont get bandits unless you still dont want to make it up a wet hill. The lugs are wayyyy to tight and all your gonna do is spin. I've tried a lot of tires in the 2 years that I've had my shee. I do a lot of dirt hillclimbing, trails, gravel road etc etc. Best 20" tires: Blackwaters, Razr2's Best 22" tire: Realtors - not a good every day tire. They sit up tall making you sit on the gas tank, arent good for powersliding (very unpredictable), and arent good for jumping unless your completely on the gas when you hit the jump. You let off your nosediving big time. They will go through anything though, and climb any hill. If you dont know what your getting yourself into....they're the tire to have. I've had holeshots, they're a decent tire, but when you wear the edges off they just want to spin. If you get a negative swingarm, this list is a whole new ballgame. I also have 21" mud sharks that are a pretty good tire, very soft though. Hook up great in the snow and deep mud.
-
I'd go with the 9 inch rim over the 10. I dont get enough tire rollover with my 10's with holeshots on. The rings would reinforce them but I cased a jump once with my old .190 10 inchers and bent one of them. I'm a bigger fan of the pro beadlock. They are so badass looking

man....you can get mink oil for like 2 bucks. My shitkicker doc martins that are 7 years old look good as new and are still waterproof. I've had them resoled twice now and their almost due for a 3rd. It's more of a vaseline type texture. Works good for me Never thought of the olive oil though. It'd be good in a fix I guess. Always good to think outside the box -
Anybody Know Anything About Ford Expeditions?

2 friends with explorers......2 friends that had to buy new trans for them. They arent cheap either.....like 15 to 1800 for a new one. -
when you hone you dont need new pistons man. All you need is new rings. So I'd say after 10 bucks or so to get it honed and 10-15 bucks for rings you'd be back in business. Hell....you spent more on that 8 gallons of fuel you have to burn.
