    All Show No Go

I've seen a black person blush before. Their skin is a brownish color and when they blush it brings a reddish tint to it.

  4. StlBill, you gotta keep that 3rd sentence like the rest, with only 3 words. Just leave All the power. Or you could change it up to something else. My personal favorite is: If we keep buying imports, where will our children work.
  5. dude.....I'm so pissedddd. They tore down the Denny's that was around here. And left the shitty ass Perkins that was next door. Denny's was the shit for hangovers......put a smile on your face even if you couldnt get rid of it. I try to drink enough water before I go to sleep/wake up to keep the hardcore hangovers that no matter what you cant get rid of them away. But sometimes I wake up and I still have a headache/dont feel quite normal. I bought a box of those alka seltzer morning afters, and after slamming down a package of them about 15 minutes later you feel like a million bucks. And if you have a hardcore hangover, they at least bring it down to one that you can function with.
  6. Best thing to do, go buy yourself some of that liquid foam insulation stuff that starts out as a liquid and foams up. Tape up the bottom of the box along all open edges, put some foam in for a base and let it foam up a bit. Put your engine in a plastic bag and make sure that is completely sealed shut with tape, and then pour in the rest of the foam and let it foam up out of the box some, cut it so you can close the box and you'll be good to go.
  7. I'd have to say its a good mix with me. I've rolled my shee with a big dropoff down into the woods on the one side of this hillclimb. I ended up rolling down the hill holding onto my shee trying to keep it from going down into the dropoff. Ended up with my shee upright, smacked up against a tree with a dented a-arm, and myself pinned backwards wrapped around a tree......but I was still holding onto the shee. I knew I could save it on that one and only banged my knee on a rock on the way down, but if I dont have a chance, I'll let it go......I'll do anything to save it....but I wont really injure myself to save her....thats what insurance is for.
  8. I drive a recycling truck for a living.....and I dont have a set hourly schedule.....and am always working while I'm at work.....and when I'm done i'm done and go home.
  9. with that much compression I'd definitely be running straight race gas. Is your crank welded? Thats a lot of compression.
  10. Banshee = 3.5 gallons every 2 1/2-3 hours of riding with a break or two Pick me up truck= 18-25 gallons a week Work truck= 135-140 gallons a week on average. They figure that with wear and tear on the trucks, fuel, and paying me they cost about 150 an hour to run. Our fleet of 100 or so trucks goes through 10,000 gallons every 2 days.
  11. I love my LRD's. And all the hooplah about them leaking.....even if you dont silicone them, they'll leak for a little bit, and then it gets a build up of residue and they stop anyway after a couple hours of riding. Mine only leak in one tiny spot for a couple hours when I adjust them and dont feel like pulling them apart and siliconing them. They dont really give you more low end or top end when you adjust them (they do a little on both ends when adjusted that way), but the main thing you notice is that it changes where your powerband comes on. So you can tune your pipes to what your riding, and be in the sweet spot of the powerband. I posted about them in the for sale topic about them a little more, and if you do a search you'll see some of my other postings on how I feel about them. As for loudness, they have turndowns on the silencers to quiet them up a little bit, and they have a sound to them that you dont hear very often......I could tell if a banshee was coming with LRD's on it if I heard it coming. I like how its quiet. My buddies 330R is loud as can be and is annoying at times while riding it. You barely even notice mine when you have a helmet on. You can cut the turndowns off and it'll be louder.....but it loses the sound of the pipe, and it may get annoying in the future....and you might regret it. When we had the same mods, my buddy who has T5's, I was revving out farther than him when they were adjusted for top end, and was beating him by half a bike length to a whole bike length every time, and even adjusted for top end, you still have plenty of torque in the trails. I have mine set on 2 full rotations off the top end setting, and i'm sitting right on the powerband in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the trails. I say go for them, they're expensive....but you get what you pay for.
  12. Thats exactly what we're telling you what not to do......unless you wanna strip some threads.....or feel lucky
  13. got any pics of the bra?
  14. are they the adjustable ones? If so they produce 9 hp across the board (no matter where in the rpm range your gonna be 9 above stock). And peak over stock is 19 I believe. I love mine. You can adjust them to have the powerband come on when you want it to so your right in that sweet spot. They've got a pretty broad powerband thats real controllable and works real well instead of being either in powerband or not. You can kinda be on the verge of powerband for a wider part of the rpm band. I paid 620 for mine shipped to my door.
  15. when you get the new plugs in, go ride it for like 30-60 minutes if your gonna do a WOT run. Doesnt have to be all at once but put some time on the plugs to give them coloration. Then I would at least rev up through 1st, rev up through second, and then when you top out in 3rd, hit the kill switch and pull the clutch in. Check your plugs. It should have a chocolatish color on the top part of the threads (flat part around the electrode). If its all completely black, your rich, if theres nothing on it/has a whitish color almost looks like the metal is lacking moisture looking, your lean. What elevation and temp are you at? What pilots are you running? I see you have a 290 main. I'm at like 900 ft and my buddies woke up a little more when we put 300 mains and a 30 pilot in it. I'm running 320's with my LRD's, and 310 in the summer with a 30 pilot.
  16. What SDD said.....dont do it any other way. You'll mess up the castle nut threads and then have quite a mess on your hands. You could get it pulled too. But thats a lot of hassle as well. If it dont come off the BFH way, then pull the carrier off and go get it pulled
  17. You can even get zipties that are the same color as your plastic! If your gonna get a nice paint job on it, just throw some ductape on the bottom of it.....it'll hold.....for a while. And at the end of it all....you'll still have some nicely painted cracked plastics. Just go get some rear stock plastics for it. They're like 130-150 bucks
  18. how long after you bought it did you bring it into the dealership? If it was within 3 months you should still put up a fight. If its not in the first 3 months....your basically shit out of luck. If it is and they are making that claim that your filter isnt oiled and sand wore the cylinder down causing piston slap, go pick it all back up, and go get the cylinder mic'd by a machine shop. They're trying to screw you. If its within 3 months go for it, if you bought the additional 3 months you've got 6 months warranty. If its after that. Figure about 225-250 to get going again. Do the work yourself, we'll help you. Its really easy. You dont even need a clymers manual or anything.
  19. Did you do a WOT pass with those before you pulled them or was it idling around for a while first. They look like you got a bit of oil residue build up on them. You gotta look at the flat circle part that is the top of the thread. It most represents the top of your piston in the combustion chamber. If you get a picture at then angle of looking down at the top of it we'd be able to read it better. It does look rich though from that angle if you did them with a wot test.
  20. I hurt myself a long while back working in a glass factory lifting a monstrous piece of glass that didnt know the correct way to lift it and ended up hurting my lower back on the one side. Ever since then its given me trouble. Did the same type of thing with my left shoulder, and sometimes if I'm walking around all day, just the weight of my arm will make my shoulder sore. I go to a chiropractor myself. I dont however recommend going as much as you go tats. I've gone through many chiropractors and finally have found one that has the same process of thinking as I do. Your body should support its bone structure and put it the way it should be. Your bones and muscles will push and pull on each other until they are happy. If you go to a chiropractor often, your body gets used to it, and cannot protect itself as well from bones being moved around. When I first started going I was all completely misalligned. My chiropractor set it up that I was going 3 times every 2 weeks until my body got itself into being the way it should be. My body now supports the way my bone structure wants to be, and I only need to go to the chiropractor once a month to sometimes 2 months before I'll hit him up to straighten everything back up a little better. There's areas were still working on like my shoulder and lower back, that with him I've started to see a turnaround mainly with my shoulder, that physical therapy and no other doctor has been able to fix. Your body will tell you when it needs to get fixed. You might want to look into it meat. Over time, bad posture, hammering your body takes it out of allignment and nerves get pinched/semi pinched that will not let your body perform to its maximum potential. If you follow what I'm saying, talk to your chiropractor about it, and if he feels different, head the other way. Theres lots out there that are just 15 minute adjusters that just have a routine. Each person is different. I start notice that I'm not as energetic, start to get pains, and my body just feels like its starting to fight a cold or something where your drained for no apparent reason. When I start noticing these things, I know its time to go. And for the next week you feel a million times better
  21. holy shit ben. That chess set is awesome. I love playing chess....just noone around here will play with me. It keeps the mind running strong and makes you think a lot. I'd like to get a real nice cut wood chess table thats all stained and has drawers for the pieces. Since noone seems to want to play chess with me I've kinda started collecting boards. I've got some real nice old wood ones (one from my grandfather, all hand carved pieces.) Got one thats made out of ivory, and one thats made out of marble.
  22. take your airfilter out first. The gas will leak into your filter when you stand it up on end and clean the oil out of it. Used to have that problem when I had to stand it up on end to get it up in my truck. Now I have a ramp so.... I wouldnt leave it to incredibly long sitting that way. I'd at least drop it down once a month, start it up, and get all the clutch plates lubricated and such. Besides that you shouldnt have any problems.
  23. save up a little more money and get a bigger throttle body, and then save and get some runners. Get yourself a dremel and pull the intake manifold off of it and port that bitch up/clean it up and give it some better flowing characteristics. If you listen to mostly metal and such, dont worry about getting a system. All its gonna do is slow your trans am down. Every 100 lbs is a tenth of a second in the quarter. Get yourself 1 10" sub if you need some bass up in there. If you open up that airflow, your car will correct itself with more fuel and if done right it'll just about open those injectors to their mass flowing potential. Then save up and get a charger, nitrous, and bigger injectors and you'll be killing basically anything on the road. Get some headers and a cold air setup until you get the charger. If you get a chip remember you gotta go back to a stock one if you get a charger. You might also want to look into ladder bar setups, cross members, etc etc. My buddies 87 or 88 GTA (I forget) hauls ass. It's to the point where your having a hard time putting your hand on the dash when he's on it. He's got bigger swaybars front and rear, Comp TA H rated tires, ladder bar setup, and cross members (he's got aftermarket T-tops). And a charger, bigger injectors and the list goes on and on. He's got a 3 inch cowl with the gauges mounted in the back of it. The car is just killer. Digital dash, leather interior.
  24. why was it down for 2 months?....I know your pain. I was down from the beginning of sept to the beginning of dec. with problems in getting my top end kit.
  25. A buddy of mine had a yz125 and we were dead even in drag races when all I had was pipes and airfilter. I can pull on him now with a new topend, reeds, and a little higher compression.
