  1. New Castle is awesome if you love wheaty beers. Anyone ever try Red Stripe Jamaican beer? Anhueser? Dos Equis tastes a lot like Stag to me. Others that were left out that I have tried: Stag, PBR, Michelob, Mic lite, Mic ultra, High life, High Life Light (pretty good for $11/30 pack), Busch, Busch lite, Kestone Ice (not bad), and Camo!!!! I am sure there are others that I have had but I can't remember them now.
  2. When I had my 250X on alky, I ran grape scent from summit once. I didn't telll any of my friends when we went trail riding and it was hilarious watching them all sniff around trying to figure out where the grape scent was coming.
  3. It takes a lot more than some carbide bits port 2-strokes. You need to redo the transfers also which requires a special tool. There is also a lot in port design. You can make good power porting your own stuff, but you have to know what you are doing to make optimum power.
  4. Take a magnet and run it along the squish band (the part that is pecked up) on the head. Chances are you will find a few spots where it wants to stick to the head. If so, you have a bad crank bearing and pieces of the steel bearing will embed into the head.
  5. Watch what fuels you use with Benol. It will not mix with a lot of them. It also seperates at cold temps. My exhaust ports were covered in carbon buildup. I switched to Motul and will never go back to benol.
  6. Just wanted to add that I don't think these .125 douglas 4" wide wheels available any longer. These are the HOT setup for asphalt racing if you are using stock style hubs. Someone needs to jump on these. I have the same wheels/ tires for my asphalt bike.
  7. Dan doesn't use any powervalves in the cheetah's. He has had nothing but problems with the PV's. Daren can tell you about PV problems.
  8. I agree on the stator cover. I really have started liking the 2 piece better than the 3 piece covers. It looks great and is easy to get to the sprocket.
  9. That was a steal. Those things look like brand new. Hell, the PJ fuel line isn't even faded or browned. What is the yellow thing on the drain screw of the right carb?
  10. I have ran the setup from Pro-flo.com. It is basically the same. I loved it. The throttle response was so much crisper.
  11. I have bought from him 5-6 times. Always SUPER low prices and great products. He is great to talk to as well as do business with. I always look to him first for billet.
  12. I didn't say he recommended them, that is just what I have. I have been impressed with my shearer inframes, so more than likely I will try a set of their out of frames. FTZ is close to me and if I can get them to cut me a deal, I might try a set of their pipes. Dan also doesn't recommend 36HV carbs, but I am running them. You don't have to do exactly what your builder tells you.
  13. My setup will be 58mm stroke, 65mm bore, GRR pipes, 36HV carbs, A&S porting and domes.
  14. Dan called yesterday and said my CUB's are on the way to the polisher. 5-7 days there then on to me!!! You all know I will have it on a dyno ASAP and the dyno I use reads low. By the way, I ordered mine over a month ago and they are just know getting done. Don't get in a huge hurry.
  15. Shearers are the pipes to use for drag racing. CPI's should be the second choice. Call a builder such as Passion Racing or the ones Loco mentioned and tell them what you are looking for. Its hard to build a drag, field, trail motor. They all require differnet setups so decide what you want before you waste their time.

    lockup cover

The stock cover is modified for quick changing of the clutch and for clearance for the lock-up. They are for sale all the time on Planetsand.
  17. They suck. If you are a planetsand member, check out a thread titled "Reed valve comparison" under the dyno testing section. It should be on the first couple of pages. The G3's that Kevin tested are actually mine. I bought them to prove a point on another website then sent them to Kevin for testing.
  18. Another vote for NOSS. It uses PD style domes that can be bought anywhere. I have yet to have a sealing problem with any NOSS head (I currently have 3 NOSS heads). I like the design and looks of them.
  19. I have a set of BOSS that I got from Passion. I also have some of the individual cast intakes from FTZ. I run a bottle on one set of the FTZ's and the other set hasn't been drilled out.
  20. I have a set with a good 64mm bore. You will want to go .020" over after porting though. $300 to your door (or Jim's). They are great condition from an '02.
  21. Our DOT has been pulling fuel samples like crazy for the last year. $1500 fine for the first offense here.
  22. This is the picture from SVTperformance that he is pissed about:
  23. Are the intakes at the stock angle? I have always wondered about angling them downward.
  24. Mustang on ebay The questions and answers are hilarious.
