Anyone sick of owning a banshee
Wassup350 replied to Bansheeman1121's topic in General Banshee Discussion
It's your call. Is anyone sick of people whining when shit breaks because they dont know how to fix and maintain stuff?? Seriously dude who cares if you broke something. Sure we'll help you but if your breaking down its your call as to whether you want a slowhundred ex or not. These posts like this are so annoying. -
Holy shit dude your gonna have a shit load more cash if that is so. I was gonna get sirius but they are all sold out. My friend also got sirius but he just had a home thing that you can take out of a stereo and put it in a car. But the car kits were all sold out. He called around and all the stores around here are sold out. the factory cant even keep up with production either, they are all out of stock for most products i guess also.

I'd just get some real good suspension for the SHEE if i were you. I started racing motocross this year and have done real well so far. Dont look at it as the banshee is holding you back. If you start out on a banshee and do good then that means you will be that much better on a yfz if you decide to get one. Just my 2 cents. Merry Chrismas!

Get another Banshee, Raptor or YFZ450?
Wassup350 replied to Y2kBanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yea the 450 is just what you need man. -
Plus 3 wheelers are quite a bit lighter then a quad.
-
Actually i disagree. I think they should have one with a mix, seeing hows theres never banshees in them barely. They should show some sweeet banshees kickin ass and taking names.

best aftermarket air filter(s)?
Wassup350 replied to cory vogrinec's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
dude post some pics of that RZ-350!! they are sweeet bikes -
Actually i'd say it would have to be a Geo Metro. Just because a stock banshees top speed is more or less 75. Which is around what the Metro gets for top speed

Dude get a banshee they are awesome through trails!! I hand fine with my buddies, 1 has a Pred, 1 has a YFZ450, 1 has a 450R, and my bro has an LT230 quadsport. If i aint leading them im right behind them through the woods. They are awesome for hill climbing and duning also. As with every quad there is maintinence though. You should at change the rings almost every year depending on how much you ride it, this isnt a big problem its pretty easy to do. The rear axle bearings tend to wear out sometimes so you have to make sure that the axle locknuts are always tight and your chain is tight. It would be good to install a grease fitting on the carrier. If you do get one definitely invest in an aftermarket airfilter and bolt on flange. Banshees have a poor filtration system and its the best thing you can get to improve reliability.

A Pontiac Banshee

Go to a podiatrist and see if you can get some inserts for your shoes. My friend runs and has flat feet and got some and it helped a lot. A good jog once a day will build your endurance up real nice, which is what you need. Also try getting ahold of some free weights if you dont all ready have them. If you do decide to lift dont lift a lot but lift moderate weight and do as many reps as you can, this will also help with endurance. Also just practice riding a lot, try finding a track that you can practice on or build your own and make it real rough with lots of moguls. Try running more practice laps, then what you would run in an actual race. Me and my friend would race at our track and go for 10 laps strait, then take a break, and then race around a little more. A few weeks of doing that really helped us do better in races.

I run the 2s and they are awesome. The throttle response was so much better. But i'd say go with the 3s if they aint much mroe money. They are improved for a reason and im sure they are better.

winter tear down, what should i do
Wassup350 replied to sweetshee4312's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
That would be a good idea. I'd go through and anything that seems loose, either tighten up or replace the bushings or what ever is causing it to be loose. If you dont allready have one put a grease zerk on your axle carrier, that will be nice to have on it so you can force sand and water out if it ever gets in there. If your lookin into investing into some stuff get a RAD axle carrier. They are real nice because they have 4 bearings instead of 2, making them last a lot longer then dual bearing carriers. Plus they have grease fittings on them allready. Also make sure your airbox is good and sealed and clean, take it apart and examine it and make sure there is no possible way for dirt to get through and clean it real well. Get some inline fuel filters too they will help it become more reliable. Hope some of this you'll find useful. -
Maybe he should try a front flip then
-
Hell if all the other manufacturers are gonna pussy out and make only 4 stroke quads maybe Bombardier will come up with a semidirect injection race quad I'd buy something like that. As for yamaha theres no way in hell they are gonna continue the banshee and blaster or bother advancing their 2 strokes. They allready got rid of all the 2 stroke sleds now its time for the quads. I could be wrong though.

How did you go about getting sponsered by Denton and Roll? I race as well and am looking to pick up some sponsers hopefully for next season.
-
Because most sponserships dont fully sponser you, unless your real lucky. Instead they give everything to you at dealer cost or cheaper. My friend who races a YFZ450 was sponsered by TRC racing in Rome. He bought 6000 dollars worth of suspension and chassis parts for only 3000. My local Yamaha gives me pretty much everything discounted, for putting their name on my banshee and racing, so I consider them a sponser.
-
DUde you have no chance forget about it. Blasters beat everything because they are so light. I've beaten YFZs and Predators but i have yet to beat a blaster. With those mods its gonna take like 3000 dollars to get your shee up to par
-
Definitely and definitely. I wouldnt be in the woods w/out handguards, because ive hit my hands on branches and stuff and that isnt fuN!!! Sharpening the pegs helps a lot too!! You seem to have a good set up. Spray WD40 all over it or crisco or something will help the mud stay off better. You can get a lot of weight added from mud.
-
That system is friggan sick!! If i was loaded with cash id definitely have those a-arms. SO if they are sponsering you id go for it. Suspension sponsership in my view is the best deal you can get because suspension is so important and expensive in racing.
