i can see where hes coming from, maybe not so much in the banshee world, but setting up a drag car is much more easy than setting up a high horsepower daily! In the drag world your not worried about part throttle hesitations or anything of the such, your only worried about full throttle wide open tuning. I will say that drag racing does take a good operator just like a mxer, its not just shifting the gears and going straight, theres a lot more to it. But as far as tuning goes i will agree that tuning a dragger, compared to a trail bike should be easier, ( not including methanol bikes some find it easy, but others find it a pain in the ass). Thats my 2 cense, take it or leave it ive been drinking as usual lol Cody

not alot of ice racers here i take it lol Cody

whatever happened to the official hq video?

you will get a much better horsepower gain elsewhere, money saved on pipes could be spent better elsewhere!
-
alot of guys like the pro circuits for the woods, and paul turners i know from personal experience have a ton of low end!
-
cool heads are nice, but i can tell you right now that the shee your uncle rode did not overheat because it didnt have a cool head, as far as i heard cool heads hardly aid in the cooling of a banshee, the main reason people get them is for the removable domes! Cody

Yup they will work!

Ill agree with you on the horsepower side, but forged pistons vs cast wearing faster, i dont know if i could totally agree with that. I know you guys do alot of r&d and you really know your stuff, but i just dont see how a forged piston will wear faster than a cast. I know that a forged piston will tend to swell, therefor you might have a little more clearance when you fire the engine up cold. I will have to do a little more reasearch but in my experience (with cast pistons, hypereutetics, forged pistons in small and big block chevys, there is no inclination of wear more so with one or the other.) never noticed any loss of hours on my personal banshee either. Elaborate a little for me, im sure you have your reasons, just curious as to why you stated they above. Thanks Again Cody

i know wiseco makes 64mm pistons, but i dont think they make .010 over, i think they start at .020 over, and i hope you dont have to bore it .100 over after 40 hours lol. Just swapping pistons will give you a minimal gain, nothing that you would feel if your current engine is in good running order and has good compression. Cody

If ya dont have the coin for the head you can always cut and rechamber it, and save some coin there!
-
First off, you probably know but you will have to pull the cylinders off to get the pistons of the con rod, but thats no biggie. Second somebody will correct me if i am wrong but i think wiseco starts the pistons off at .020 over, as stated early if there is no excessive clearences and the cylinders arnt really glazed then save your money! no there are wheel spacers out there that bolt to the spindle via your stock studs and then you mount your wheels on a set of studs that are on the wheel spacers, what i was sayin is did you buy these or did you make them yourself. They dont look like what im lookin for, looking at the picture better i see what you have. Good luck with the trade and sorry for wasting your time. Cody

Whats that damn nipple right there by the choke for? Do you just plug it?

No im up at school, i can get some when i get home, what brand are these wheel spacers and have you used them, maybe its just in the pick but i dont see no studs to mount the wheels up? Are they just hunks of aluminum, were you using longer studs, cause if thats the case then just forget the trade.

looking to get into ice racing a little bit, more so for fun and not competetivly. What setups are you guys runnin, tires, studs, etc. I was looking at Cheng Shin for the rears with kold kutters, and maybe just stockers for the front with some kold kutters. Any info on ice racing would be greatly appreciated. I dont really wanna buy shocks or a arms or any of that stuff. Cody

need help choosing exhaust
papa_smurf49319 replied to sheerider22's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
most people are going to tell you that pro circuits or another pipe are the best pipe for the woods. This may be true, but if your like me and trail ride and drag race the buddy alot and cant be last then shearers are the best pipe. The shearers are deffinetly a top end pipe, but if find trail riding it isnt to difficult to stay on the pipe however most the trails i ride on are wide open and you can run 3rd to 5th most of the time! Cody -
nice cant believe i never noticed that before when i was looking at the pics lol!

Anybody else have these on the 28 pwks? Ive only seen a few sets with them? The nipple is drilled right into the carb body, just seems like if left unplugged it would run super lean and suck dirt!
