  1. i know we will have to wait and see until i get it out, but do you think the hone is something i could do at home with a deglazing ball hone?
  2. a melted piston really? With that little bit of compression difference? Hopefully a new piston and rings will fix that side then, maybe a light hone?
  3. no big deal, nothing a little tig weld couldnt fix. Dont use silicon, use jb weld if ya have to.
  4. whys you camera say 1/11/2007 lol, is the date just wrong?
  5. off topic but how much did you pay for them, i was lookin at those to.
  6. oh and the funny part, is when i was doing my plug chops both plugs looked the same, wtf?
  7. Okay long story short, very little ride time on my combo. Started out with 180, 180 on gauge for compression i know its a little more because my tester is not as long as the plug. Anyways after a little bit off riding im at 180, 169. I spray some brake clean around my boss billet intake and it seems to be leaking on the right side a little (the 169 side). Bike would idle down really low when i sparyed it on that side. Going to tear the top end apart and wondering if most reuse head gaskets(standard head, not cool head) and base gaskets? Also what should i expect, should i order some new rings this week just in case? I wanna reassemble and do a leak down test afterwards, i will also be doing a leakdown test as soon as i get the bitch out. Bike runs great and hard, just compression is scarin me a bit, i know they say 10 pecent, which would be around 18psi on this, but ive got so much money into this i dont want nothing to happin up at silver lake. ( oh and the right side which is the leaky side doesnt take well to slide height adjustment for idle, which is a another indication of a air leak). Thanks Cody
  8. quick question, are you guys running a dual pingel?
  9. ya thats what jim from passion said, some fuels wont give you that nice smoke ring, it hasnt sputtered or ran any different but he seems to think we are way to rich?
  10. Update Got the 170's in and did a plug chop and no luck, still to lean, cant achieve the 2mm smoke ring? WTF Am i retardly rich? Bike runs damn good! Dont wanna buy 180's! Opinions please No airleaks also, sprayed all areas with ether and no idle changes. Cody
  11. So it seems very hardddddddd to get opinons about plug chops on here. When someons melting down there bikes, or someone has a jetting problem the first question many people ask is did ya do a plug chop. Ive been consistently trying to get info on a particular situation with plug chops. My buddy and i are both having problems achiving a two millimeter smoke ring! It is chocolate brown but only measures 1mm to 1.5mm Started out wit 155's and are now at 170's, is this ridiculously high for a motor with my specs? Settin at 850 feet above sea level and its about 70 degrees out when we ride? Bike has ran great with all the jets between 155 and 170's. Thanks Cody
  12. im at a 170 main and so is my buddy, we got a brown smoke ring but only about 1mm? Wtf 850 ft above sea level, do i really need to jet up?
  13. Yup the girls shee pegs were welded on to, pulling the engine was fun. Cut them bitches off from there welded some plate and tapped for new bolts, a little grinding and a little paint and better then new! Cody
  14. ya no problem, i bet it would be hard to find under some thick paint lol Cody
  15. ok this is a stupid question and im probably totally wrong, but wouldnt your piston rings snag the base plate, or will the piston not travel that low in the bore? Thinking about it now i dont believe the piston will travel that low. Cody
  16. Ive always heard never polish the intakes, fuel will bead up, etc. Cody
  17. i know im a picky little bastard lol, now everybody go pick apart my post lol! Cody
  18. think with your dipstick jimmy!
  19. i havnt ran it long enough to tell, but all the builders ive spoke with recommend it, and its the general concensis on here. Also mines seemed to do just fine with it for the little time ive been able to ride mine. Cody
  20. sounds like a lawnmower blade advertisement lol
  21. I just get the cheap castrol atf type f from advanced or autozone. But guys run walmart brand to, your going to need to change it often though, thats for every type f fluid not just walmart brand. Cody
  22. stock reed cages and gaskets on both sides! If your going with a one piece intake, a little red rtv never hurt anything also. From the pics it looks good, hard to tell in pics and cant tell what it is by picture need to measure.
  23. ya id try type f. Or a thinner oil, also if your bike sits for a LONG time the clutches sometimes will become sticky but should go away after a short ride.
