  1. yes like said above, bore it over just as much as it needs, dont waste good bores just to gain cubic centimeters, the return on power is not substantial!
  2. ya 125psi is a good reading, im in michigan also and at 852ft i think, and i had 125 to 130 psi on a stock rebuild back when.
  3. your talking about pulling back on the plastic water pump gear from inside the clutch cover right? Cause if you are i just did that to one i have apart and there is some slack there aswell so im sure that is normal. Hope this helps Cody
  4. im assuming you replaced the water impellar with a billet one to try and solve the cooling problem before you left? Have you done the obvious like spray the radiator out to see if it was clogged with anything (be careful with the pressure washer and spray right at it from a distance, dont wanna bend any fins). How did the old impellar look?
  5. if you are getting some severe detonation, you will usually see aluminum specks on the porcelin of the plug, or little tiny black spots sometimes. I wouldnt worry about it plus 4 is plenty save with the compression your running. Go hop on that thing and ride, your going to be suprised at what it does for ya! Cody
  6. ya i dont know what 20cc domes will put you at, but yes plus 4 and 120-125 pounds of compression is just fine on 93 oct. You will be fine, if your worried about it just keep an eye on your plugs, make sure there not backing out and look at the porcelin for aluminum specks etc. But you should be just fine on pump. Im running 185 psi compression and plus 7 on 110 octane! Cody
  7. Dont pull the motor, do it the easy way, take some ether and spray it around the comin leak areas and listen for idle changes, spray around intakes, carb boot, base gasket, etc.
  8. also been running cast plates for years and never had any problems, sure the chariot is nice and if you have the cash its a nice piece, but both are going to accomplish the same thing!
  9. whats your compression bansheesandrider? On a mild build its not uncommon to run plus 4 and not have any problems with 93, now if you start milling your head then you may have to reconsider a better fuel grade.
  10. i have the ims 5.6 gallon and so do my girlfreind and freind. You will need to cut the plastics right below the tank, no biggy, the handlebars will be fine. Great addtion to the bike and helps out a ton on long rides.
  11. is that nickisgod's bike in your avatar?
  12. yup thats how its done!
  13. removable domes is nice* wow thats gay that i cant edit my post anymore, oh well guess its just more bullshit someones gotta read threw! lol
  14. A cool head is def not the only way to go, a stock cut head will work just as good as a cool head if your on a budget, if ya got extra cash then the cool heads do look nice, and the removable domes is not nice. If you know what kinda fuel you wanna run and dont care about the bling, or building a sleeper motor than a stock head will do just fine, and if mull engineering ever gets the time lol, there head exchange is hard to beat!
  15. compared my gauge to another and the compression was the same on both! This was a expensive sears gauge at one time. Never let me down, not a cheap autozone harbor freight special, i would like to get a snap on though.
  16. looks like shees comin along nicely
  17. i believe with mine, the torrington bearing goes agains the inside of the pressure plate, the side that touches the clutches. If i recall correctly.
  18. im at 852 ft and a brand new top end is at 125 or 130psi
  19. Theres nothing wrong with a milled head, it is a good idea to get it rechambered to keep the squish band within spec. A cool head is nice because of the dome interchangibility, you can swap domes so you dont have to run race gas all the time if you dont wish to. I have a milled and rechambered head on my 4 mill that i like alot, its cut for race gas and im at about 185psi cold on each cylinder. I would like to get a cool head (noss head) for the bling factor and the interchangeable domes. Cody
  20. ya i was thinking of doing that, just hate to bother a busy man!
  21. pictures will be comin later tonight
  22. its the needle jet if anyones wondering, fell out while cleaning them awhile ago. Number 34 on here http://www.sudco.com/Diagrams323728/exppwk28.gif Carbs look immaculate, and run really frickin good!
  23. any one have anything to say about the plug chop above? Got more jets coming for this weekend so i can do some more plug chops.
