I'm in Auburn, which is between Bay City and Midland -
I agree, if you smoked the Tusk clutch that fast then you have an underlying problem, I'd be checking out the basket and hub very close.

Banshee drag times? help?
Master of Faster replied to blaster205's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My trail Banshee goes 8.4 @ 76mph in the 1/8 with a trail port and headwork, and that is geared for the full 1/4. You can't see the board in this vid but I ran a 8.5 this time. Banshee VS. YFZ 450 ----> http://media.putfile.com/Banshee-vs-YFZ-45040 I ended up running a 13.62 @ 89.7mph in the 1/4 with 16/41 gears but I ran out of gear about 300' early, should drop a couple more tenths this year with the proper gearing and maybe some tires. -
I bought a cylinder head from Brenten and it was exactly what he said it is. He gave me a good deal and shipped it lightning fast. Don't be afraid to deal with this guy!

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a 4mm stroker crank, new or used, let me know what you've got, thanks.
-
I just lunched a rod bearing in my Banshee so I figure its time to go to upgrade to a stroker. For all you guys who have done it where did you find the best price on a 4mm stroker, 5mm longrod crank?

Help with breaking up on top
Master of Faster replied to BigcrewDuramax's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I had that problem once and it turned out the be a bad spark plug cap. I don't know if you replaced the caps when you changed the coil or not but if you didn't deffinitely unscrew them and check them out. If I remember correctly there should be around 4.5 k-ohms through the caps. Mine would run fine until I went WOT and one of my caps didn't even have continuity through it with a multi-meter. Sometimes if you shake a bad cap you can even hear the inside connection rattling. -
My guess would be that there is a problem with the gears, if there is just a slight amount of wear on the engagement tabs on the gears they can kick apart when you're under power and bend forks, sometimes its very very hard to see that there is anything wrong.

So our actions are solely based on the morals given to us by god but animals actions are based only on intuition? Thats the best you can come up with after spending the last few days researching the question I asked you that you couldn't answer? lol Many animals absolutely are held to certain standards within their own comminity, haven't you ever watched a documetary on lions or wolves or any animals that live in a group? What you are saying is that our standards are only god given and their standards are only intuitive, WHY? Once again it just doesn't make sense.

See my reply to rocketboy, and congrats once again on taking a few of my words and twisting them into something you could make a ignorant reply to, are you aware that you sound like you are in grade school?

Seriously, you don't need to be a dick, my answer was we stopped evolving because we became smart enough to adapt the world around us to our needs instead of needing to change ourselves, that is a perfectly legitimate answer and the construction equipment and weapons thing was only a small example to give you an idea of what I was talking about.
-
I was pointing out the fact that there are cases where animals are polite and courteous to each other, which you can't deny. I was pointing this out because according to rkc these things (politeness/correctness) wouldn't exist without religion. No kidding animals aren't always this way to each other, neither are humans, and you missed the point. Evolution has seemingly stopped with us because we have developed intellectually enough so that we can adapt the world around us. We have become smart enough to build construction equipment and weaponry so there is no necessity for us to evolve any further. And for the record, I do not despise religion or religious people in any way, I think it is ridiculous for sure, but I don't think any less of the people who are involved in it. And believing in evolution is not a religion. The theory of evolution is based on science, religion is based on nothing, big big difference.
-
For what? So that you can just say its bullshit? Like I said before I have no interest in trying to convince you into waking up, so if you want evidence just pull up google and start looking, its not hard to find, and I've already done it for myself.
-
Ok, fine, there is a level of faith from both sides, but if we scale it on a level of 1-10, believers of God would be a 10 and believers of science a 1. Whether you will admit it or not, evolution has more evidence supporting it ten fold. And its not like believers were "placed" here, if that was the case why wouldn't god just choose to have everyone be a believer, what could possibly be the reason for a god to want to test our faith? Believers are here because someone wrote such a good fairy tale that they got people to believe it and those people got more people to believe it, and now it has escalated into this completely ridiculous thing we call religion. Also, nonbelievers do not care nearly as much about conversion as believers do, religious types are always trying to push their views on others, there really is no reason for me to even be having this debate because I don't care one bit about what you believe in, but its like when I'm out riding and someone spouts off about how their 400ex is faster than any Banshee, I just have to say something.
-
huh? that really has nothing to do with anything, lol. Are you saying we have shovels because of religion? :yelrotflmao:
-
You keep referring to this half and half thing, nobody ever said there was ever a monkey-man, haven't you ever seen a good evolution illustration? It was slow and subtle process. Almost unnoticeable except on a scale of thousands of years, not like some monkey just grew a human head or something one day.

I know your post was directed at Meat but I just wanted to give my $.02 again. I know we have excavated alot of ground but it does take certain conditions to preserve evidence and we have found some of what appear to be these transitional fossils, what we haven't found is one single shread of physical evidence of many biblical events, in fact I don't think we posess one piece a physical evidence that proves that any events in the bible are true, I know that I've read about how many of these peices of so called evidence are proven fakes. I don't know the particulars of DNA, but I would say that shared DNA would probably indicate a common ancestry, but that common ancestry doesn't necessarily mean shared DNA in all cases.
-
uh, I think so, but I can't say for certain
-
I think this thread is complicated enough without throwing scientology into the mix, lol. And I think its also worth noting that I am not a 100% supporter in evolution either, but like Meat said, when you step back and take a look at the evidence for both sides, it makes me lean toward the theory of evolution, heavily. And there is alot of support out there for evolution, in fact I just watched a special on the Discovery channel not too long ago.

PTT, good point, insults and attacks are uneeded. Most of my friends are religous to some extent, they don't push their views on me and I don't push my views on them, and we're good. But your comment about how scientists spend their life studying evolution and can't prove it I'd have to disagree with. Many people spend their entire lives studying god and are much farther away from proving he exists than we are of proving the theory of evolution.
-
Thankyou Meat, I think that is the best that anyone has summed it up yet.

I believe our standards have been set by the majority, some so strongly that they have been adopted as moral absolutes, such as not stealing and killing. I'm not sure how else I can be any more clear or maybe I'm missing the point of your question. Its easy to see really, think about how people acted a few hundred years back and then think about how we act today, our mindsets and morals have evolved, but religion hasn't changed. Thats fine that you didn't answer the dog question, but why not now, it is a perfectly legitimate question. In your reply to me you said something like "who the F&@# are you, you wouldn't even have a "myself" if it weren't for a god" Which implied that I shouldn't be concerned about making my life better but rather I should just spend it thanking god, so I asked you if thats what you do and you took a few of my words out of context and came up with a lame reply, way to go. If goldfish had evolved the quickest of the species into an intellectual form like we are now then maybe they would have developed NASA and would be keeping humans as pets, but they didn't evolve to that extent so we keep them in bowls and they do not work for NASA, thats pretty easy to understand.
-
You read too much into the comment and went right past the point, it was a simple analogy, some things don't work alone but work in a package to do something greater, thats all. Why only one species has the ability to do those things is very simple, its survival of the fittest, we just adapted and evolved more quickly than the rest. I'm still being quite civil, I think Blue Deuce is the one who needs a lesson in that department. I believe right and wrong are just products of our society, our values are a representation of the opinions of the majority about how we should act. Deciding what is right and wrong is no different than deciding that the speed limit on the expressway will be 70 mph, a majority of people thought it was good idea and now it is a law that we follow, sometimes. The ideals are of right and wrong are just unwritten laws no different than any of our written laws, that simple, you could argue that some of our laws are based on religion but certainly not all of them, thank god. (pun intended) Also, I must have missed or looked over your questions on relativism, and that is the only reason I did not repsond, if you would politely restate I would be happy to retort. And, on the note of not answering each others questions, do you remember when I asked how it could be that animals are often polite and courteous to each other even though they have no religion?
