  1. Read this thread, courtesy of RNBRAD. He explains how to do it, and all the hardware necessary to get it done with pics. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=leak+down+test
  2. LMAO, right on man!
  3. Couldn't agree more!! You "might" cool it by a degree or two, but surely no substantial gain and definitely not horsepower!
  4. Don't take it to the dealer!!!! Have you done a leak down test, to see if your crank seals have gone bad?
  5. I had DG's on my banshee when I first bought it; they were pretty good pipes IMHO. They had a good all around pull and fit well, I ended up swapping them out for some Toomey T5's though because mine were rusted to hell and back from the previous owner. If you ride trails, etc. I'd keep them on there and see how you like them. They worked great for what I needed them for...I only ditched them because they were covered in rust
  6. Be careful and God bless!!! The LS trip is the 23-26th, hopefully you'll be able to make it!
  7. When was the last time you checked your compression?
  8. If you've already bent the tab back on the lock washer you should be good to go. I've always used an impact wrench, nut comes off with the quickness
  9. Ahhh shit, I forgot about that...I just installed a new pingel with no reserve too; guess that's even more reason to camp close to the strip!!!
  10. Hey, that works for me. I'm hoping I'll be getting there around 5pm on Thurs., Big Blue and I should be rolling in together given his wife can get off work that day. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for ya The closer we are to the strip the better, my 39's like to guzzle gas
  11. I wouldn't let it go for under 250 either...to be honest, 275-300 is a very fair asking price considering the quality of that amp. If my system wasn't already done up, I'd snatch it from you in a heartbeat. I'll talk to a few of my friends and see if they're interested.
  12. Hey, for some reason I can't see the pics, so I have a question...did this chassis run any shocks or was it rigid? If you do have shocks, what kind and how much you want for them? I live about 15 minutes from you Sorry you're getting out of this for a while, I was hoping I might get to run with you this upcoming season.
  13. Nevermind!!! Jeff (FASTOYS) has come to the rescue and is getting me squared away...Jeff is DA MAN
  14. I do still have the old linkage, I just knew that with the linkage/stock shock and the +8 swingarm, it definitely would need some work. I was hoping I might be able to make do with what I have, but I guess I'll be having my stock shock redone with the quickness, cause I don't think Marvin Shaw's shocks can be setup for both dune and asphalt dragging. Thanks for the help!!!!
  15. Really? Does the linkage provide that much support for it? I only planned on running it for dragging at the dunes...nothing more. I appreciate the response, if you or anyone else has any more insight on this, it would be GREATLY appreciated; I have two months to figure out what I wanna do
  16. Is there anything special required to run a no link setup in the rear? Would I basically just be bolting the shock straight to the swingarm opposed to the linkage? May be a dumb question but figured I'd ask Thanks!
  17. I guess I should have expected that from someone that doesn't even know how to properly jet their own bike....jeeeez (passion cylinders *cough*) j/k
  18. LMAO, maybe there should be a common sense quiz that's required to be taken before posting these questions. Some people......
  19. So I guess we should soon expect to hear, "Are PV'd cheetah engines trail friendly?"
  20. How clean is your air filter? I had a similar problem and my outerwear was clogged with dirt. Even if it looks clean, pull it off and try to blow air through it; mine looked good but had too much oil on it and wouldn't allow the air to pass through.
  21. Hell yeah!!! If all goes well, I'll be there Thursday evening. I'm not sure which camp I'll be at but when you get in, come look for me. I'll have to send you my cell phone number in case you can't find me....but it's pretty hard to miss a big fool on a chromed out banshee Just under 2 months left!!!!!!
  22. This should be in the "wanted" section, not "for sale".
  23. I'm not gonna go as far as saying which is "better", but I would highly suggest getting the NOSS head. I'm pretty sure the NOSS head is cheaper, and I can guarantee you'll get great service through dlnoss. Aside from that, by picking up a NOSS head, you'd be helping out a fellow HQ member. I'd PM dlnoss to get a price quote, his service and quality of parts are outstanding.
