  1. Welcome to the HQ! A lot depends on the type of oil you're running as to which premix is best. Some oils don't require you to run as much oil in the mix as others do, it's always a good idea to see what the back of the bottle suggests, as mentioned above. Right now, I run Maxima 927 @ 32:1 Typically, the 24:1 premix is only used during break in
  2. That's fuckin outstanding! I wish the pricks here at our NHRA track weren't such assholes; I'd be running the quarter mile every Tuesday and Thursday. I'm gonna make my way up there, I'll let you know when
  3. WE CAN'T HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T TELL US WHAT IS WRONG!!! Is it sputtering, hesitating, backfiring, smoking alot, what is wrong with your banshee? If it is doing any of the above, where in the RPM range is it occurring? Idle? Mid range? Top end? You have to explain what the problem is before we can help you out man
  4. I think you'd be pleased with a 13/41 setup. I know you want to drop a tooth in the front (generally speaking) when you go to the dunes, and I ran a 13/41 on mine through the trails here and loved it. Had similar mods to yours, same pipes.
  5. That is what I use too and I haven't had any problems with my clutch slipping.
  6. Hell yeah! I was already talking to Jeff about coming up that way in the near future, I'd love to hit the strips up there Is the street racing you're talking about in the same place they were showing on huevos 7? LOL, it's the same way here in Memphis regarding the murders, etc. All our news is about someone getting shot, raped, robbed, or how horrible the school systems are...I honestly don't think there has been a day that I didn't hear about someone getting killed here...Hell, last night they were broadcasting on how to save money on your funeral when you die; WTF hahaha, if I make it up there I'll fix that for you
  7. I have to make it up there sometime and ride with you guys...Jeff, if I drive all the way up there you better not have any excuses!!! I need to roost John one good time for riding a honda
  8. I agree. Been there, done that. Unless your banshee is a trailer queen, the paint is going to start chipping away the first time you ride/wash it if you use spray paint. You can paint your fenders and do it successfully, but you won't get the desired results from rattle can paint. It's best to either buy fenders in the color you want or have the plastics thoroughly cleaned, prepped, and painted with high quality materials that have flex agents in them.
  9. Thanks guys! Exactly what I needed
  10. OK, I'm in the market for some outerwears for my foam filters, but am unsure about something. Are all foam filters the same size, and the only thing that varies is the opening? Or are all filters different sizes and you have to get an outerwear for the specific filter size? LOL, does the question make sense?
  11. If you are not married or don't have plans to get married, I wouldn't go. If your relationship is serious, you could always just sell the house she inherited and buy one where you live now.
  12. Down with the sea turkeys!!! Congrats Pittsburgh!! It's about damn time
  13. Yeah, it's about 10/11 hours for me from Memphis to LS, well worth it though! I was worn out when I got home, but ready to drive back the next day Do try and make it if you can, it'll be a damn good time, that's for sure
  14. LOL, me too! New tires, shocks, 20 gallons of race fuel, 15 gallons of pump gas...It'll definitely be worth it though! Just found out today I'll be there on Thursday hopefully before noon. I'm gonna try and get that nice grassy camping area in the south. Ahhhhh, next month is right around the corner!!!
  15. Jeff is a no BS kind of guy, excellent to deal with
  16. Doesn't really feel any different, unless you're coming from a clutch that was slipping... If your clutch was slipping before, and you installed a lockout then I guess you'd feel a gain, but only because the power isn't being lost and it's actually getting to the rear wheels; I suppose it all depends on how bad your clutch is slipping as to how much gain you'd feel
  17. You should bring sredish with you....he's been long overdue for a dune trip
  18. I noticed that too...just goes to show what kind of people they'll let work at a dealership. I'm not saying all dealers have crappy mechanics, but it's obvious you don't have to have a solid understanding of how to work on engines. That engine looks like a good weekend project though, too bad I didn't have the money to pick it up, would have made for a good start to my second banshee; not a bad deal for a little over 400 bucks
  19. You won't know until you do a leak down test.
  20. You might be on to something there...
  21. Not mine, but looks like it would be a pretty good deal if you can work on this yourself.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...608534017QQrdZ1
  22. Yes they do.... http://www.grandriverracing.com/ He doesn't have any of his inframe pipes listed in his ebay store, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a set or can't make them. I'd give his shop a call to find out the details. I've been wanting to try a set of his inframes, but I love my GRR out of frames too much
  23. You're a retard...WTF were you gonna shoot the dog for? Maybe that guy should of shot you for no fucking reason and done us all a favor. You don't even know for sure if it's public/private land and you were wanting to shoot this guy's dog for asking you to leave???? Your stupid ass should have smiled, said sorry, and got the hell out of there. To go with the topic though, I don't carry a gun when I ride...never felt threatened to the point where I'd need a gun.
  24. You guys ever see that movie "Better off Dead"...with the paperboy..."where's my 2 dollars?" I hear ya chase...2 bucks is 2 bucks, may seem like a small amount but hey, it's a matter of principle.
