  1. I don't think your off to a good start...4 posts and all of it is shit talkin in the same thread. Maybe we're instigating that you're gonna be a problem.
  2. I was thinkin that might be a good idea before things get ugly in here
  3. I think this is about to get interesting now..
  4. Who the hell are you talking to INSTIGATOR?
  5. I'm watchin those right now....
  6. It's like pouring water over hot coals in the grill...When the water/snow hits the hot ass radiator it evaporates, which in turn gives you steam. Are you guys smelling coolant or just seeing the steam?
  7. I don't think you should worry about it...Considering that snow is colder than 32 degrees and the radiator is a 100+ degrees, a little steam is to be expected. I ride through a lot of water and when I do steam ALWAYS comes a pourin off the radiator, pipes, etc...I think you can even see some of the steam I'm talkin' about in my avatar. Never had any overheating problems the entire time I've owned the shee. On another note, you don't see any coolant leaking anywhere do you? Take it easy! Travis
  8. Uh oh...
  9. Wow, Thanks Banchetta!!! I do stand corrected! Reasonable thinking would tell me there would be more air flow without the lid opposed to 1.5" cut...but the dyno doesn't lie!! I appreciate your response and I suppose when I do cut the lid I'll bump the jets up 2 sizes...THANKS!
  10. Thanks "." !!! I really appreciate that info...saved me a huge headache!!!
  11. What kind of camcorder did you use before it was destroyed? (i.e. brand, model #) I was an inch from buying a helmet cam but could not for the life of me find a camcorder with an A/V in...only A/V out. THANKS a MILLION!!!
  12. I can answer this for you once I get home...I'm at work right now and can't remember the exact specs...I believe the hose was 3\8" hose, and I mounted it in the exact same spot as pictured in the ad you posted. I haven't had time to put the new gauge on with the brass T, maybe I'll slap it on there tonight and I'll take pics of the process for you. It is REALLY easy and should only take about 20-30 min, given you have all the necessary parts... Travis (How ironic, we have the same name )
  13. 30 bucks? You'd be getting ripped! You can make the exact same thing for a fraction of that price...I recommend if you do make one yourself to use the brass T's, after a long day of riding I melted the plastic one I originally was using...
  14. Not at all trying to be a smartass but it would kinda be hard to do both mods...you can only do one or the other...if you take the lid off there is nothing to cut; or if you cut 1.5 inches off, it would be stupid to then remove the lid...Even if he did mean for both, the amount of air flow would be much different without the lid compared to 1.5" missing...hence why I asked about it, surely the jetting would be different. Maybe you misunderstood what I was asking? Oh well, just trying to be clear... Thanks for the reply though
  15. Hey Banchetta, ironically I have the same setup as roosthrower's stepdad except I have 290 mains @ sea level. I've been looking for just a tad more low/mid end grunt and was thinking of cutting the 1.5 inches off the airbox lid...when you said he oughtta use 300 mains for the airbox mod was that in reference to removing the lid completely or cutting the 1.5 inches off? THANKS!!!
  16. Yeah, we already checked on that! First thing we did after yankin' the cylinder off...uh, that didn't sound right
  17. I ride nothing but trails and rode on one set of plugs for 8-9 months...When I'm in the trails I average about 10-20 MPH, never get above 2nd gear unless I hit a wide open area...Hope this helps!!
  18. THANKS Leadfoot, ya never know I might just need it!!
  19. I would pick up another can...I don't think half a can would do you justice for all the sanding you're doing...I'd wanna put at least a couple of coats on there. I'm glad I read this post, I never would have figured you could use that metal cast paint for the jugs!!! HMMMMMMMMM Please post some pics when you're done Justintoxicated...I'm very interested in seeing the final product!! Good Luck!
  20. Around here we get "zooted"...
  21. I think it is a great idea and I'd love to contribute!!! I have at least a half hour's worth of video clips I could edit/put together with engine sounds only, music only, or both combined...I think it would be cool to have the "final cut" a combination of everyone's vids (like mentioned before) with the video maker's choice of music lightly in the background for each "section" of the video...reason I say that is in my opinion the music helps to accent the mood of the video, and considering there are many different personalities associated with us (people who ride banshees) it would be cool to associate that in the video...Final result= A video with many banshees, many different areas with each rider's preference of tunes that best fits their clip...Does that make sense? Anyhow, I think the idea is excellent!!! Where do I sign up? Oh yeah, I think there should be a "rule" that any videos submitted shouldn't have folks riding stupid with no safety gear on...I think riding stupid with all the right gear on is cool, just not clips of folks doing wheelies and such in 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. gear with no helmets....looks bad on the sport if ya know what I mean!
  22. Awesome!! Thanks to both of you guys for the responses!!!!
  23. Yeah, I do...do they bore cylinders? THANKS!!
  24. Thanks! Any other suggestions anyone in case this option doesn't work out?
  25. I have a friend of mine with a warrior needing to have his cylinder bored 84mm. Who on here can do this for us and how much would you charge? We were trying locally but every shop I talked to was backed up by a couple of weeks. THANKS in advance!!!!
