  1. Now, I was looking at that and it had me concerned...I was hoping to actually find a set of wires that had the plugs(going into the coil) attached as well. How was it you broke the plugs? I figured I could just cut the wire with enough slack in it and splice/solder the new wires in...Anyone have any tips on changing the plug wires to avoid breaking the clips that go into the coil? THANKS!!!
  2. Thanks Holyman!! I was kinda scared to call the dealership about them...I figured they would charge out the bunghole. I'll call my dealership and see if they got the same rates. THANKS AGAIN!!
  3. Does anyone have a set of plug wires for the shee lying around and want to get rid of em? I was about to change the plugs today and when I was popping off the plug wires the actual wire just broke off! I'm assuming they just dried out sitting in the sun with dirt on them...I don't know, but if anyone does have a spare/old/new set of plug wires and would like to help out a fellow HQ member, PLEASE let me know! THANKS!!
  4. Thanks guys! I just may buy that plunger in the link you posted boonman. THANKS again!
  5. Is there a way to fix the choke? Any ideas on fixing the choke?
  6. I'm interested to hear what the final result of this problem is...I have the same issue. Shee'll start no problem when its "warm" but if it has been sitting for a while I might as well hang it up. I usually just squirt a touch of fuel in the choke tube and it fires right off; I too am thinking my choke isn't working properly. It has done this ever since I put the engine together and at that time the carbs were immaculate, reeds were brand new, no issues whatsoever...just didn't wanna start when cold. I've gotten so used to giving the bansh her injection before startup it doesn't really bother me anymore; although I would love to fix the problem if I knew what to do...
  7. Wallrat, YOU'RE THA MAN!! I'm gonna print out your post and memorize it! LOL Once this project does go underway, I guarantee I'll take plenty of pics and write up somethin giving every step and detail to the whole process. I'm sure it is gonna be pretty time consuming but oh well, we'll just wait and see. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR HELPING!!!
  8. where i need to spend my $$$ to make it a kick ass bike in the woods? I don't think it would cost that much at all. The one thing you should change is your gearing. This may sound crazy but I went to a 15/41 gearing (which makes each gear longer) and when I went out to the trails I absolutely LOVED IT! I could stay in first longer which in turn kept me right in the middle of the power band, so if I needed to scoot I just hit the throttle and the power was there. I didn't have to shift half as much as before. Also, if you added a set of pipes and an air filter, bump up the jets a size or two, you'd be just fine.
  9. I first started riding on a 91 warrior and it was a great bike to use in the trails. Then, the almighty shee made its way into my world and there is no way I would go back. My friend still has the warrior, and we go riding together every time we do ride. There is NOTHING that he does that I can't do on the banshee. Granted, you have to ride the banshee differently than the warrior, but it is capable of doing the same and then some, as the warrior could. We ride nothing BUT trails here, no sand or fun stuff to play in other than the muddy trail. As far as you being concerned with jumping, I would think that the banshee would be easier to jump due to the fact that it is lighter than the warrior. IMO, 4 strokes aren't "better" for trails, they are just easier to ride(i.e. you can creep through things on a 4 stroke as for a 2 stroke you have to goose it to get through...which I think is more fun anyhow) All you have to do if you have a 2 stroke to make up for not having the strong low end torque of a 4 stroke is to just have good speed and momentum. That coupled with a good rider can overcome any obstacle that a 4 stroke could do...Just my two cents
  10. Wow, this is some really good stuff guys!! I can't thank you enough for the help/advice...I never thought about the fact that if I use my plastics for the mold it wouldn't fit right. LOL, I would have been so pissed too!!! Great info, I'll take all I can get for this project!! THANKS!!!! :D
  11. That's the idea, I almost wanted to say spray some type of cooking spray for lack of better terms and the mold should just pop off the plastics... but I figured everyone would look at me like I was crazy...Maybe there is some kind of lube I could spray on the plastics beforehand to get the desired result. Hell, I don't know...I'll figure it out. Thanks for the help/advice EVERYONE!!
  12. THANKS 370! I just might be taking you up on some advice...If I were to NOT lay the fiberglass over the plastics and create my own separate "shell"...what would be a good thing to use to mold it? I was thinking of laying something on the plastics, molding over that and once the shell was hard, somehow take it off the plastics and finish from there...Does that make any sense? I'm really wanting to do this now and I DON'T want to F' it up...Thanks a million for your help!!!!
  13. Thanks Lefty, that's kinda what I had in mind for this project. I was hoping to mold the radiator plastic with the tank plastic to make one smooth piece, without paying a small fortune for it. Thanks again!!
  14. THANKS Wallrat, that is the kind of stuff I wanna hear! Anyone else try this and have different results/tips? Thanks again Wallrat!
  15. I was thinking earlier about fiberglassing my plastics for durability and ease of taking a quality paint. Anyone ever doen this before or know someone who has? If so, what were the results? Theoretically speaking it should work out pretty good; in turn I should have a stronger plastic and be able to "re-shape" it a little to produce a smoother look...Please, if anyone has any thoughts or ideas regarding this let me know, I'm thinking of doing it over the Christmas holidays and would highly appreciate your opinions. Thanks!!!
  16. Maybe it was just me but in that video she looked like a racoon...
  17. The first radio you pictured is the one I bought my woman for Christmas...WEIRD...I like it, although I haven't hooked it up. Looks very similar to the one I have in my car now. I'd get the pioneer, I personally have never had a bad one!
  18. LMAO!! Good one!!
  19. Can I get a pair of them from you on Monday? Sorry, but I'm strapped for cash till then...Promise to come through though!!! You have a paypal account?
  20. I can see your point boonman, they do have a kinda harsh sound;liking QUARTS is almost like gaining an aquired taste for beer I guess...The infinity kappa's do have a smooth sound, my brother had a set of separates that I loved...You guys are right though about the silk tweets, much softer than the titanium. For me, the silk tweets are just too soft...I guess I've lost too much of my hearing over the years so I almost need the titanium tweets to hear that really high frequency...Sad but true...I would definitely suggest running two amps, much easier to tune a system like that. If you're looking for the most bang for the buck I would definitely go with a Polk sub. I don't think you'll be able to find a better priced sub that could deliver the same quality for the price you'd pay. I had a friend who got that same deal boonman was talking about before (buy one get one) and I was truly amazed at what those things could do...
  21. I saw that and wasn't sure what they looked like (i.e. billet or not)...If they are billet, you still want $45 shipped? THANKS
  22. Mine too!! Just bought a set of Toomeys off of ebay, bought em on Monday, got em on Wednesday...Just do like everyone else has said, check the sellers feedback and read what other people have left; I always try and stay away from people with not much feedback...Only had one deadbeat auction and was out a measly $11. I guess I should consider myself lucky!! Ebay is great though!
  23. Thank you kindly!
  24. Me too... But, as we all know, everyone has their own taste in how they like their music to sound. Boon, if you don't mind me askin, why is it you don't like QUARTS?
