  1. I tell you what, I'm in the same boat as you are!! I managed to take care of the rear already but am waiting on the front for new tires. You may have already heard about doing this but you can flip your wheels around and gain at least another 2" on either side of the quad. The rear you can just flip around but the front you have to do a little more work. If you just flip the front without any mods to the wheels, the valve stem will collide with the caliper...not good. Soooo, on the front, you have to drill a hole in the other side of the rim for the valve stem, and install a new one in the drilled hole. That way you can fill up your tire when you flip your wheel Then you get a second valve stem and install it upside down in the original hole (the nozzle will be inside the wheel now free and clear of the caliper) and you're ready to bolt up and ride. My friend just got the chance to flip his front wheels and it made a HUGE difference!! It doesn't put any added stress on the hubs/ball joints; only thing is that it exposes your caliper a little more which is not too big a deal for me. I can try and post some pics of my friends done, maybe give you more of an idea what it looks like. It's DEFINITELY worth the time to do, and only costs $10 at most for a wider rear and front end...
  2. I just wanted to take the time to update you guys/gals about Stan's (Cotton Eyed Joe) billet he makes himself. First thing I bought from him was the thumb throttle cover and the clutch cover insert and boy was I impressed. Not only was he a super nice person to deal with, but had a superb product with fast, well packed shipping. At the time, that's pretty much all he was makin, unless you came to him with an idea for something else. So I figured I would shoot him a PM askin if he could make me a billet handle bar clamp with a key holder...He hadn't made any but said he'd give it a shot. About a week and a half later, he replied back to me sayin he had one made and was ready to go...He had mentioned him having a few brake ressy covers laying around so I had him ship me one of them too. Needless to say, I received them Monday and they were way beyond my expectations!! The bar clamp and ressy cover fit better than the stock ones and damn they look good. I think he offers them with or without the keyholder now...(Stan correct me if I'm wrong!) Every purchase I've made form him he includes ALL necessary mounting hardware along with your parts well wrapped to ensure they look as good as when they leave his hands All in all, I personally think it just doesn't get any better. He's quick to respond to requests, has really fast turn-around, great prices, fast shipping, beautiful products!!! Need I say more??? If your banshee is lookin a little dull or just needs something new and shiny, Stan is the way to go!! You will NOT be disappointed!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH Stan!!!! 3. What he said... Banshees don't like to sit still while running. I had the same thing happen to me a while back so I just cut it off now if I'm gonna be in one spot for more than a minute or two. Haven't had the problem since! You should be OK on the radiator fluid, unless shee dumped a lot out...A small amount of leakage won't hurt ya!!
  4. You can try Toomey's website, I bought one from them but it wan't for the 2-1 carb, not sure but they might have one....Toomey Racing
  5. Oh OK, thanks for clarifying that Minkia!
  6. I love how the auction says it gives you more power!!!! LMAO
  7. Why is that if you don't mind me asking?
  8. Glad you got it going again!
  9. Glad to know I'm not the only one!!
  10. Why did you start a whole new post on this? You copied your last post in your previous topic and started a new one...
  11. Regardless of this situation, I think that is an excellent idea to isolate the problem between carbs or cables...I never would of thought of that!!! I feel a little wiser now!
  12. Is it just my PC or did the pinned topic talkin about the babes on banshees disappear? I just noticed it was gone, or is it just me?
  13. I was thinkin that too
  14. Holy Shit Led, where did you get the little rockin smileys??? Those are class!!!!!!
  15. Maybe so, but it sure didn't do that with me!!! As soon as it cranked up shee skyrocketed and I had to kill it...Who knows
  16. YES, it looks like the grin on this smiley----> So, take them apart, and see what ya got
  17. I still wanna know if that choke tube is in there....same problem I had when I first rebuilt the shee, took me damn near a week to figure it out...I very well may be wrong, but it's something to check
  18. I got a video that shows that!!! It's a 1000 km run, the Skyline has the Supra till about the 600 km mark and then the Supra starts to pull away...It was simply amazing
  19. If I am not mistaken, the side with the slant should be facing towards you, when looking from the air filter side...been a while since I've opened my carbs up...Someone correct me if I'm wrong though
  20. Have you checked your choke tube to make sure its in there?
  21. VERY glad I could help!!!
  22. Checking the slides is really easy...there is an indention on the side of the slides as well as a window on the side of the carbs...basically you hit your throttle slowly and watch through the little window until you see the indention appear through the window. Then, you look at the window on the other carb and see if the indention on the other slide is showing...if it is GREAT, if not, you're out of sync... As far as the idle screws, yes, you screw them in all the way, and then turn the 1.5 turns out from the "all the way in" position. You don't necessarily have to have them 1.5 turns out, that's just the ideal setting...you can go I think up to 3 turns out before you need to adjust your pilot jet. Hope that helps!
  23. I agree with banshdog, check it for debris, or maybe something could have shaken loose inside the carb and it's catching on the slide...not too sure about the smoking though...you say it's on the left side right? Did it smoke at all before you changed the jetting? Just out of curiousity, what size jets did you put in there and did you change the needle clip setting?
