  1. My local dealership told me they won't carry pilot jets for the banshee cause there wasn't a high enough demand...Damn stealership!!
  2. I used 500 degree paint once before and it bubbled up...weird because my pipes never got near the 500 degree mark. I would highly recommend finding a different method, maybe jet hot coating...Hope this helps!
  3. Hey, I think its a pretty cool idea!! Looks like you got it figured out there!!! Would you consider making one for sale?? Nice work!!!
  4. Don't know a whole lot about milling heads but you are right, the compression should be much higher than that...sounds like your engine isn't completely sealed tight...There are others on here that could help you to better identify the problem...something definitely doesn't sound right though
  5. Riding a banshee in the trails is almost like having to aquire a taste for beer...it may not be that great at first but once you've done it a few times and get used to it, you love it. I have the option of riding a thumper or the banshee when I go out trail riding and I'll always choose the banshee...all my friends that I ride with are always begging to let them ride it through some trails..just takes a little getting used to...just my .02
  6. Never a problem... I have a copy of 2000, XP home edition, and corporate edition...I'll give you a "special discount" on the disks if it turns out you need them. Hope you get it fixed soon man, I know the pain you're going through!!!
  7. I believe that to be your problem...I've known too many people with Compaq PC's that were junk. If you like I could get you a copy of XP if you need it...PM me if you want one...
  8. I'd say if you shop right you'd be able to rebuild the top end and change the crank seal for $200 bucks; given you do the work yourself. You can get a deal on ebay for some pistons ($120) and I'd just run to the stealership and pick up your gaskets and seals($50). If you pick up a Clymers manual it will walk you through the whole process step by step, and tell you which tools you need. Took me about a weekend's time working lazily.
  9. My main riding buddy has a warrior...He can't ride it right now because he has to do his maintenance...without tearing it down yet we already know it needs rings, timing chain(which I hear is a beotch), possible bore, and a new carb. We're HOPING that he won't need valves or anything else. I tell you what though, I was reading about someone not wanting a used and abused banshee; I bought mine for $500, came with everything except a running engine. EVERYTHING was loose and wore out it seemed. I spent about another $500 and grabbed a good friend of mine to help rebuid it, have had not ONE major problem with it. Only thing I have had to do is routine maintenance, something you should do to every motorized vehicle. I personally think the banshee is REALLY simple to maintain. Even when it comes to an engine rebuild, the hardest part about it is coming up with the money to rebuild it! I'm keeping my shee until I'm too damn old to kick it over!!
  10. I think that is a GREAT idea but there was a sentence in the article that brought a disturbance to me..." If the bill is approved, a task force would be created made up of ATV dealers, users and environmentalists." I think them being there is gonna ruin the whole thing. What do you think they would say when we pull up on our "air polluting" two strokes and stink up their precious land? Maybe I'm not being very optimistic about this but considering that the tree huggers are already wanting to ban the 2-stroke engine on quads/snowmobiles, I think these parks that could possibly be built are gonna be for the thumpers...I hope I'm wrong!!!!
  11. Good Luck to ya! Maybe we can scrounge up a little surprise er care package for you when you come back! Be safe and take it easy!
  12. Dude, you're crackin my ass up over here!!! That one I'm not sure of
  13. I was wondering that too...I wanna cut my fenders but everyone I talk to that has em cut rides in sand. Anyone ride in trails/mud that has cut fenders that could fill us in on how much dirtier you get if at all? THANKS!
  14. I don't think you did...you're not the first person to wonder that!
  15. Very glad to hear you're doing better!!! Back pain is a SOB!! Keep up the exercises, they are sure to help!!!
  16. Thanks boonman!!!
  17. That I am not positive about but I DO know you can pick em up on ebay for an average price of $35 if you were to replace it...
  18. I still have that if you wanna see it again...It was on the back of my friend's warrior.
  19. I only wish I had a picture of my last ride..I was drenched in mud! To answer your question, I think the front fenders purpose on the banshee was for yamaha to have a place to put all their safety stickers...they definitely don't block the mud!
  20. Where did you get the videos from? The net, your hard drive...what format are the videos in? There can be a number of answers for this...let us know
  21. Yeah, she and PETA are upset with KFC because they scald the chickens to death! LOL, she should know ALL about that one!! She's sportin' the toxic toe!
  22. You not hear about her and PETA against KFC for cruelty to chickens?
  23. from who? From boonman. He made a post advertising on here, and threw it on ebay too. Hey boonman, is this something you're only gonna do for a short period of time or could I shoot you a pm and have you lighten a flywheel for me in a couple months or so? THANKS!!
  24. Interesting...I imagine they would flow better too but ya never know. What all did that thread at planetsand have to say about em? Instead of reiterating the thread you could just post the link where you found it? Thanks!!!
