Left Hand On E Bay! Anyone Need One?
bigboybanshee replied to NYUK's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Now that she's working with PETA she had to get rid of it; they started asking too many questions about her ride smellin like dead fish... -
I saw those too and wondered what they were like...Sorry I don't have an answer for ya, just figured I'd say you aren't the only one curious..
-
Mine too...I'm at work right now, had to be here at 7AM-7PM...Damn I hate the IT industry! Happy New Year to all of you though!

Yeah, what sheeBASTARD said. I used to have a lot of problems opening videos with Windows Media Player, so I downloaded version 9 with all the latest codecs and I have very little trouble at all now. In case you didn't know, codecs are just the translators for the various types of formats that media comes in..Each format (MPEG, MPEG2, DIVX, DVD, ASF, AVI, etc) requires a particular codec to be played. A lot of video players already come with the required codec installed but as technology advances, more video formats are available, the more codecs we need to view them. I hope this helps a little bit, I can tyr and help more if needed!!!

How long has that been on your mind led? I couldn't help but laugh, I was re-reading the posts in here, trying to make sense of what the first entry was meaning, and then I stumble across your post and just kinda stopped for a second. To answer your question, yes, I do believe they blush, you just don't see color...I have plenty of black friends and don't remember seeing any of them blush (color) Hope this helps answer that long pondered question! Happy New Year!!

THANKS BenBB, it's nice to have a little reassurance!!! Of course, that's why I asked you guys!! THANKS AGAIN!!

Very true! I'm sure you'll get a lot more air flow with the clamp ons, much more than I get!! You'll have to let me know how your jetting turns out, will be interested to hear considering our mods are similar. I'm looking forward to getting some more plugs and doing a couple of chops, that will be the true answer I suppose...Didn't think about the fact of those plugs I had in there were so old, a lot of the darkness to the plugs probably came with age! I appreciate ya'lls help with this!!!

Like To Trade Convertible S-10 For Any Year Shee
bigboybanshee replied to shellbyzfan33's topic in Swap and Trade
I think you're crazy for even asking this... Crack kills!! -
Funny you say that about your T5's..I've had mine since late November and just put em on the other night when I changed the plugs and coil. I already had DG pipes on it beforehand, just made a nice step up though 340 mains sound a little high to me, but hell what do I know, I'm the one asking the questions about which jets to use! How's the humidity out there? Reason I ask is because I'm sure that plays a role as well to figure up the "perfect" jetting. I would figure the density of the air would be a factor almost as much as the temp...correct me if I'm wrong though!!

Thanks for the info . ! Honestly I'm not sure which pilots I'm running, I bought the carbs with the jets already in em...the jet kit was from a motion pro twist kit; I'm assuming the pilots are stock. My elevation is right at/around sea level and I've ran this setup for the entire summer/fall with no problems whatsoever. Just in preparation for the winter I went and bought a set of 300, 310, and 320 mains in case I needed them. I'll try and get a little time in on these plugs and get back with you ASAP; I wanna have it tuned pretty well for MLK day. THANKS AGAIN for the help, you guys are GREAT!
-
VERY good point! I'll pick up some new plugs this week and try and run some tests this weekend. THANKS A MILLION!!!
-
I did change the plugs AND coil, it runs 100% better now...I think you may be right though, I'm probably gonna need to buy a few more sets of plugs and do a plug chop...My biggest concern is not to go up on jetting if I am running rich, but I'm not too sure how rich I'm running. Does that make sense? Thanks for the help!

Banshee And Ninja For Sale!
bigboybanshee replied to BaddestBanshee's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Man, I would NEVER trade my shee or any shee for that truck. That thing is probably worth a solid $1000 at most..What would be the advantage of trading that nice ass banshee for that old and rugged S-10?? I need some of what you're smokin'!! -
That's a nice looking banshee in the pic, a damn shame it had to be posted at the bottom of that jibberish!

Hey thanks for the reply...Ironically, I haven't run it in about 3-5 days before I pulled the plugs. Last time I did run it I had it wide open in 2nd (My cove isn't that big ) and then let it kinda idle for about the time it took to smoke a cigarette. I killed the engine and pulled the plug wires and the mofos broke in two. The wire was old as dirt and needed to be replaced anyhow, so there it sat for a few days until I could get the coil/wires/plugs. When I get home I'll try and get a good top pic...It didn't look bad, just appeared to have been a little too rich. Once I put the new plugs/coil in she ran like a scalded beast! Thanks again for the help!

I changed out my plugs today and before I change the jetting I want your opinion. When I pulled the plugs I was shocked because they look like it's running pretty rich. Granted, I've had about ten 7-hour rides in the summer/fall on these plugs so I figured they would look kinda shot but you be the judge. The temperature here has only dropped 30-40 degrees on average; I'm leaning toward leaving the jets I have in there for a while, but if you guys think I should go higher/lower let me know!!! Currently running 290 mains, mods include Toomey T5's and a K&N filter in the stock airbox, stock carbs, reeds, etc...Any advice/tips/hints are greatly appreciated!!!!! THANKS FOR LOOKING!!

Problems After Rejetting
bigboybanshee replied to SiCkBaNsHeE_990's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
You sure you stuck the choke tube over the right holes? I've stuck it in the wrong place in a moment of stupidity...That sounds like that is EXACTLY the problem, it happened to me almost the exact same way...it would start up and the right side didn't wanna fire without coaxing and when it did, I let off the gas it died, gave it a little gas and the damn thing's RPM's skyrocketed...It took me almost a week to figure it out, I almost tore the whole damn thing apart again!! -
Really? That's cool! Maybe that's why I never had any problems was because the carbs were so new. I'll be damned! Thanks fixitrod, I'll have to remember that one!
-
Damn boonman!! That sucks ass! At least you got em sewn/re-attached!! As far as the back pain goes, I think we all suffer from slump-itis!!
-
Did you or anyone else ever figure out exactly why that is? I know it was a debate for quite a long time
-
Dude, I am only 23 and have gone to the chiropractor since I was 17/18 yrs old. I have had neck and back problems forever it seems. I notice it too when it rains outside that the pain seems to be more significant, I think it has to do with atmospheric pressures or some shit like that...I've also noticed that the colder it gets the stiffer my neck and back get. If you go to the doctor they'll either tell you to go see a chiropractor or give you pain killers. If you see the chiropractor expect to pay 50-90 per VISIT; Insurance will cover some but not all. Chiropractors are great for the simple fact that they can pop your back in all the places you can't on your own, but is not worth the time or money it costs. I found it is much easier to have a trusted friend that can pop your back for you and I'll pop my own neck when I feel the need. IMHO pain killers don't fix the problem they just cover it up, which in turn will show up again when you're not on the pills and probably hurt even more. What has worked best for me is stretching. Whenever I start feeling really crappy I'll stretch out my arms, neck, legs, lay down and twist my whole body, everything...and then I'll go work out in the gym or try and be physically active. If I have sharp pains I'll put an ice pack on the area and take a couple Ibuprofin and it helps pretty good. One thing that can really help is to have good posture when you sit. Although I'm guilty of slumping in the chair I know it's better for my back (feels better too), especially in the long run. Well, I hope my .02 can help you a little bit, if you have any more specific questions please ask and I'll try and help you based on my experiences...Sorry to hear you hurt, I can honestly say I know how you feel!!
-
Holy shit man, sorry to hear that too!! It is NOT your fault you weren't around, I'm sure you would not have chosen to leave your family for 8 months! I and many others appreciate all of what you're doing for this country and try not to let this get the best of you. There are plenty of women in this world and I'm sure you will find someone else!! Same goes for you screamin! Keep your heads up!!!
