  1. Well, honestly I'm not positive about compressing the springs to get em to fit, but I seriously don't think that is the case though. I believe the most you need to do is grind a little metal out of the mounts to make the mounting bracket slightly wider to accomodate for the yfz450 shock (I think the 450 shock is almost the exact same length as the banshee shock give or take an inch or less). I know they WILL work, and have heard great reviews about them, and they are a cheap alternative to buying a set of works or better shocks...I can tell you that I plan on getting them, simply because I don't do a lot of jumping or riding that would require a superb suspension, so in turn I wouldn't wanna spend a butt load of money on a hardcore setup...something a little smoother would be perfect, especially for a smaller price; and I believe that's what you gain from going with the YFZ450 shocks. If you look hard enough, you can find the shocks going from $150-200...
  2. YFZ 450 shocks review Another good one, shows where to grind These will be a great start, read em thoroughly and it should answer any questions you have
  3. This has been a topic on here just as much as if a boost bottle works...YES it will...If you do a search, you can find more than enough details on what needs to be done
  4. I ran into the EXACT same problem a while back when I first got my shee...what we did was cut the ball off the throttle end of the cable, grabbed a screw just big enough to thread into the lever inside the thumb throttle, and attached the cable through the hole and drilled the screw in on top of the cable, slapped a small amount of lock-tite in there and rode it for at LEAST a solid year with no problems. Kinda like you would hook the brake cable up on a BMX bicycle....Felt just like it's supposed to....Does this make sense? Hope it helps!!
  5. turbo cars dont build boost at idle, they create vacuum... Very true!!!
  6. What finalized my decision was I liked how the T-5's looked...I heard equally good things about both pipes, I liked the way both pipes sounded, so I narrowed the decision down to which one I thought looked better. Honestly, everyone's gonna have a different opinion on pipe choices. You have narrowed it down to two great pipes, you really can't go wrong with either of them...trust your gut!!!!
  7. OH, thanks guys!
  8. I'm not positive on this one but wouldn't you hook the tach up to the positive lead on the coil? That makes more sense to me than wrapping a wire around a spark plug...
  9. What he said! Cotton Eyed Joe can hook you up for real, he's my one stop billet shop!! LOL
  10. Very interesting boonman, I might have to try that one myself!
  11. That's a tough one...I myself run T-5's and LOVE EM...with the right gear they are everything I had hoped them to be! BUT, I know a lot of people like the pro circuits and for a good reason...I was in the same boat you're in now, I had my option of either one, I took the T-5's...Just make sure whatever pipe you do choose you jet it properly or else....
  12. Yeah, me too...when I saw it for sale I was thinkin to myself how sweet that shee is, and how lucky the fool that got it would be!!! NICE BANSHEE!!!
  13. I'm with Ducman....Supras are fast but not that fast
  14. I'd buy another airbox off ebay...they go really cheap!! I'd rather be safer than sorry!!!!
  15. I'd say go for the T-5's and slap a NOSS head on there, raise the compression, get you a K&N filter w/outerwear, maybe change the gearing on it and you can achieve an all-around fast banshee. That is what I would begin with, see how you like it, and continue modding from there...You'll notice a HUGE difference with just those. Hope that helps!!!
  16. Ain't that the truth!!!! I would too, it would make me have a peace of mind to know he at least acknowledges my concerns and lets me know he's working on it, rather than just avoid the calls/emails....what a bum!!! I WAS considering picking up a set of those UGLY a-arms, but now....hahahahahha, forget it! Sorry to hear about the problems you're having got1banshee, reporting to ebay and paypal would be your best bet for the moment. You did save the emails you've sent him and what's been sent back right? I'll bet you feel like this right now!!!
  17. f*ck you too ya retard
  18. Do you take paypal?
  19. I have no sympathy for the little twurp, last night I get a PM from him stating.. I never asked him about the a-arms, never even posted anything in here on the forums about wanting any a-arms. He's being a pest. I feel bad for the people that are gonna race with him. His dumb ass should have checked the series requirements BEFORE he started building his quad, like I'm sure most educated people do....AND the kid wants too damn much anyhow
  20. AMEN brother!!!
  21. Hey, does this burger look jetted right to you? LMAO!
  22. You might wanna send Cotton Eyed Joe a PM, he might be able to do it for you. He is as honest as it gets and does an excellent job on all his work. He mainly makes billet parts but I know he CAN polish...shoot him a PM, he just might be interested...
  23. Damn boon, sorry to hear that...I had a similar accident but the chick that pulled out in front of me was young so they didn't think anything of it; they just gave her the ticket and she ended up payin for my car to get fixed. I swear, old people DO NOT BELONG ON THE ROAD!!! They're always in the way and holding up traffic. I really hope things will work out for you, and that the old geezer doesn't croak. Do you have ANY witnesses that can back you up?
  24. OMG, my stomach cramped up just reading your post and then seeing the picture.....OUCH! Glad to hear your OK, maybe you should start wearin' a helmet at work!! Good luck on a speedy recovery!
  25. I agree with everyone else, if you already have to tear it down and rebuild, as long as you have the money I would go ahead and go the extra mile now, because you'll wanna do it soon enough! I've already decided on my next rebuild I wanna have my crank welded and get a nice port job. I'm really tempted to send Jim @ Passion my engine cause I've heard nothing but great feedback about his work. Word of mouth is the best advertisement! Let us know what you decide!! Good luck
