  1. I remember those days working for pizza hut, they don't give a damn what the weather is like...the worse the weather the better for them, more money in their pocket. They could care less about the drivers actually getting out in the weather....
  2. This hurricane does seem to be pretty bad, I heard this morning they raised it to a category 3 now...in case you didn't know that is 111-130 MPH winds I was looking on the weather radar and there were a few tornado vortex's floating around near the eye...Hope you guys make it through OK!
  3. Ya know I never thought about that but it makes a whole world of sense...I can hear them in the rear and was wondering how I could soften up the tweeter but still keep the solid mid from the 6x9....You da man!!! I'll try that tonight!
  4. Thanks for the advice boonman! You had a hell of a setup man! U.S. Amps were the bomb shit...I loved how they were all quarter ohm stable; you could make some massive power out of them. I'm having my doubts on how I'll do, I think my front staging is gonna hurt me...I know nowadays people have head units that have 5.1 dolby surround and I just have my trusty ol' pioneer deck that's been with me since 2001. I'm running that Pioneer deck, MB Quart 6.5" components up front, Pioneer 3 way 6x9's in the rear, 2 Kicker CompVR 12's with all Phoenix Gold amps and wiring. I love being able to say I built it all too. (enclosure/install) I figured out I'd be in the 251-500 watt class; unless I had too much to drink when doing my figuring It sounds pretty killer but I know there's gonna be someone there that's gonna stomp me! Oh well, I'm still gonna try and have fun while doing it..Thanks again for the advice/encouragement!!
  5. I'd say go for it! Before you go, do invest in a temp gauge and maybe an inline cooler beforehand...that way if you're running hot you'll know it before you have a chance to mess anything up. When I go riding we usually run em for about 6 or 7 hours pounding the shit out of our quads through mud, trails, water, hills, you name it. Having a temp gauge on mine has saved the day NUMEROUS times! Just make a stop for a few minutes and let the shee cool off; I noticed if you stick some ice cubes on the plastic in front of the grill they'll stay there until they melt and have cooled my shee off by like 15-20 degrees in a matter of minutes. I guess the air rushing over the cubes along with the cold water really helped get the temp down. I know I have well over a hundred hours on this top end and still running strong like we just built it. As another precaution you could slap some engine ice in there. I wouldn't worry, go have some fun and take some pics...sounds like some cool trails!!! Oh yeah, and as a precaution...clean your filter the best you can beforehand and take a spare set of plugs. I've managed to foul mine out after a real long day of riding. Dirtier the air filter is the less air you get which of course makes it fatter on the gas = fouled plugs quicker...just a thought Never mind buying the temp guage...I just read in your sig you already have one! Just keep an eye on your temp and you'll be good
  6. Sad to say it but this is true...They (technically) had no business on the street. Not to say I won't ride mine from time to time on the street but they have to be realistic about this...I would however, mysteriously have some damage inflicted upon the woman driving the car. Sorry to hear about your friends though, I hope that they recover to 100%.
  7. LMAO! At my work when we have servers that act up we like to set fire to them
  8. Right on! I feel the same way...I'm definitely a die hard fanatic about my sound, I just hope that what sounds good to me sounds good to the judges!! I'll definitely post the results once I get them...the show is on the 5th of September so if I get to tuning now I should be alright. Thanks again for the help!!
  9. Very interesting sredish...a lot of that I have seen but there were a few "key" points I haven't seen. I REALLY appreciate the input!!! If anyone has any more to add, I'm all ears! Thanks everyone!!
  10. Yeah me too, figured I would try something a little different...Thanks for the reply though!
  11. Well, I'm going to be entering my first USACi competiton for sound quality rather than SPL and was curious to know if any of you on here have entered one? If so, is there anything I should be looking out for? i.e. anything the judges might check on or anything that might impress the judges a little more? I read up some on their rules for the competition but I still wanted to ask on here if anyone has been in one of these. Thanks for any help!!
  12. School me on what a "router" is and what it does. Explain it to a 5 year old that knows what a router already is. Its that loud fucking machine in my dads wood shop that we use to make shit like cabinets. LOL, I didn't think of it that way but you're right!! I'm so used to talking PC routers and not the routers you're talking about... Crazy how two things can have the same but two totally different functions. Did you get in contact with banshee370? If not, I'll try my best to explain to you what they are..
  13. DING DING DING DING....Winner!!! She is in other words telling you she wants something else...if she "TRULY" loves you she would feel no desire to "make sure you're the right one" I think she knows EXACTLY what she wants but doesn't have the guts to come out and say it. There are MILLIONS of women out there, don't think you won't find another. Let her go be the ho she wants to be; I've heard your story a hundred times before and they all end the same
  14. I'll agree with most and say getting a router is probably the best way to keep out possible incoming traffic...I use Zone Alarm with my DSL and run McAfee virus protection...haven't been infected yet
  15. Cool! I'm glad it worked out for you!! I didn't think you'd want to download a big file but I knew if you saw that the quality isn't bad, you'd save some money and go with the 380. By all means believe me when I tell you the quality is even better before you capture it from the camcorder and make a video with it...if you were to just watch it from the camcorder on your tv it's amazing; just as if you were riding again. Anyhow, I'll quit rambling, I'll keep an eye out for the same camera/setup and post the link or PM you if I find one. Glad you liked the vid!
  16. First off, happy birthday Brooke! Everyone else...you know that dirtrider is doing this shit only to see how pissed off he can make everyone. A word to the wise...if you see a post he's made, don't reply to it. The only way we'll rid his stupidity is to ignore him. The more you (generally speaking) reply to his nonsense, the more he's gonna aggravate you and continue to create worthless and totally meaningless posts.
  17. If you want to I have the "good" version of the video I made that you can download...it's 50MB because I didn't want to hack it down too small, the smaller you make the video (size wise) the poorer the quality is...Even this one doesn't show how good of quality it can be...let me see if I can make the link work out. http://24.165.149.194/programs/Helmet%20Cam.wmv right click and save target as....
  18. I just got one about a month ago and absolutely love it!! I bought the 380 res cam and it does the job great for me. When I play it back on the TV it looks as good as any show you would watch on TV...really durable too. I got mine off of ebay for 165 shipped, came with a cam, microphone, battery pack and velcro with the helmet mount. All I had to provide was the camcorder! I have some video I made with it but I never posted it because 1. the file is like 14MB and I figured no one would want to download it and 2. I don't have a server to host it from Definitely get one, I love being able to show people videos of what it's like to ride without actually getting them dirty Then they usually wanna go Here's a link to the same one I got from the same seller...had it in 3 days after buying! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3824100431
  19. Thanks again everyone! She hasn't been bad at all regarding the toys, etc...she doesn't mind them as long as I don't spend ALL my time messing with them. She actually was telling me I oughtta wash my banshee when we pulled up in the garage She's a good girl, she puts up with my crap and still comes back for more...I can't complain Here's a few pics from our hotel room and down in the restaurant. Nothing in the hotel had doors (except for the rooms). You would get off the elevator, make a right and you were standing on the beach. Go to the right off the elevator and you were walking on the city sidewalk. From the hotel room... Another... From the Shorebird restaurant in the hotel, I bet ya can't guess what I was trying to capture in the pics without being obvious....
  20. Thanks guys!! LOL loco, I gave her what she needed once we got back to the hotel I didn't try surfing Stan, ironically I was watching the shark week too and saw the part where they were talking about the two guys who went out and never came back that were in Hawaii....needless to say I wanted to be sure I could come home when I was supposed to with all my limbs attached We already are planning another trip, and on that one I'll give it a shot. It was awesome waking up in the morning and sitting on the balcony drinkin coffee and watching the surfers get started...they were out there at 5:30AM every day until about 7PM or so...truly hardcore Congrats on the 5 years Stan!!!! Tomorrow will make the first week for me
  21. Well, I just wanted to share it with you guys that I was married last week in Hawaii. The whole wedding was really cool, we had NO idea how it was gonna be until it actully happened. We were married on the beach, lasted a whole 45 minutes including pics and video... Afterwards we stayed on Waikiki beach for a week and soaked up that hot ass sun. Awesome place to go, I have a few pics if anyone's interested in seeing them. The whole time I was there I couldn't stop thinking about how badass it would have been to have my shee on the beach with me
  22. That's exactly what I was looking for...THANKS!! I had figured a little water wouldn't bother the ice, just wanted to be sure the coolant wouldn't have any kind of chemical reaction or anything when mixed with the ice...never can be too careful nowadays
  23. I got em! LOL, they were still bolted to the fenders from when I cut them off! Sent you a PM
  24. Anyone?
  25. If I can find mine in my garage you pay shipping and they're yours....no guarantees they're still in the garage but if they are I'll reply back and let you know.
