I had a similar problem and I went a size up on the pilot...starts 1st or second kick now...The smoking is probably from the oil rich mixture, and maybe any excess grease, etc. that is on the engine from the rebuild. How does she feel when riding it? Does it bog down at any certain point?

Do not leave the hole open unless you like to rebuild top ends...You could plug them up but I hear it's harder to tune with no balance tube. If you don't like the boost bottle, I'd recommend using the stock balance tube again, but don't leave the holes open...just think of what would go into the holes when you ride if they were open

I've never seen one of those on a banshee before...looks pretty cool! You might be able to PM Cotton Eyed Joe about it, he makes some pretty snazzy billet parts, and can make custom pieces as well...

I did and after getting it wet and sitting in the sun a few times the dye faded and came out. Could very well be my dying skills but I wouldn't recommend doing this. Webbing is only like 20 bucks and I think you'd be a LOT happier with the results.

I don't think you'd be able to fit 25's on there if you run nerf bars on your banshee, if I recall correctly the tire would interfere with the nerfs... I've had 22's and they get me through all kinds of mess. Besides, 25's are a little overkill on a banshee IMO

Not yet but I've seen it and wondered about it....All I run in my cars is Mobil 1 synthetic and I love it, I just can't get motivate myself to try it out since I haven't had any problems running klotz. I'm one of those people that sticks with what I know works, figured I'd wait to hear what someone else's experience was like with it first...lol

I second that...dlnoss is an outstanding person to deal with, install of the Noss Head is simple and they look awesome...comes with all the O-rings you need and has easy to follow instructions too. I would NOT get that accutek...you get what you pay for!!!

lol, I bought his old set, but maier sells them all the same...or you could go fullbore and get silver. Don't you run a pt mid pipe? If so, I think that would be good for what you're wanting to get into, or maybe a 2 into 1 pipe. I hear DMC makes a pretty nice pipe suitable for motox...

I agree with sredish on the jetting size..... Also, what is your compression? Using 17cc domes I'm sure you're probably in the range for race gas...

the springs that pull the piston back down after the compression stroke. you can also up grade these and get higher tension ones. I hear those work really good, but on the same note I heard you have to get the Weisco's blue label crank or you might end up with some broken pistons

I don't think they would go from black to white but I would assume that if you correct the "richness" that the plugs would lighten up. I'd try leaning out your pilot jet a size and see what happens

Don't feel bad about a long drive, I live in Memphis...I think my trip will be roughly 9 hours according to Mapquest. I think it will definitely be well worth it, this will by far be the best riding trip I've ever gone on...hands down All I've EVER wanted to do since I got the shee was ride the dunes, and to be able to meet/hang out/ride with some of the HQ too....priceless
