  1. I don't have a passion port or a stroker or anything but since I see everyone posting their compression, mine is 148 with 21cc domes just above sea level
  2. Mine runs between 170-200 respectively...but that was before I changed my coolant to engine ice, ran an inline cooler, and put my noss head on. I'm guessing it'll probably run in the 140-170 range now; I'll tell you for sure after this weekend I love my temp guage. Real easy mod and cheap too. Let's you know when it's time to take a break for a minute, etc...
  3. Munchies...generally I don't eat a whole lot when I'm down there; but to each there own. Hot dogs are always good to have around, steaks, whatever ya wanna bring that will be alright in a cooler. If you want a whip light for night you could pickup some glow sticks, I would definately bring a rain suit or pancho--no matter what the weatherman says, camping gear, Jager & Redbull ....just drew a blank, someone else chime in if I'm forgetting anything. Cool, I appreciate that Led! Honestly the pancho slipped my mind but is definitely a great idea!! Jager and Red Bull I guess I'll need to bring some of that too
  4. It would definitely be in your best interest to steam clean/shampoo the carpets, seats, even under the seats. Funk like that will furment(sp?) in your apholstery to the point where air fresheners just won't cut it. Fixitrod had a good point with the water leak, that could be a possibility too.
  5. Sorry I can't help you much on this one, lol, I was wondering the same thing!! I was gonna post a very similar question today until I stumbled across your post
  6. That's what I did (go up on the pilot) and it fixed my hesitation. I'd recommend trying it out... What's working for me is a 30 pilot and the needle on the second clip from the blunt end
  7. You wont want to buy okie beer unless you have to, you can stop anywhere in fayettville, springdale, or tontitown(you will drive right trough here, there is about 10 places on 412 that sell 5.5 or 5.0 beer. im probably going to run up to the MO line and pick up some 6.0 let me know what kink you like and i pick it up for you and well square it up later. I'll drink practically any beer, especially on occasions like this The only thing I don't care for is dark beer...other than that bring it on! I'll be more than happy to split the bill with you, just let me know beforehand and I'll bring plenty of cash with me. Ill be picking up atleast 2 cases for myself, how much do you think you will need for 3 days? i usually drink bud light or coors light. 2 cases should be good for me, Coors light would be fine. If you have paypal I can send you some money up front for it, or I could just pay you when I see you, whatever's best for you...Thanks for taking care of this for me! This may be a dumb question but what should I bring food wise? Never camped in the dunes before, not too sure what's easy to fix and doesn't need to be refrigerated... I got my flag, duct tape and extra gas can, what kind of other "necessities" other than TP will I need to be bringing? Last thing I wanna do is come unprepared!! Thanks guys!

  9. Good deal, I suppose I shall be picking up a few packs on the way sredish, you are correct...with that setup you need a camcorder to hookup the bullet cam to actually record the video. Those 30 dollar camera's are pretty good too (Got one of those as well) but I think you need a camcorder for those also. I got everything to hook it up, all I need are the riders My stuff is your stuff, if you wanna rip on your shee with the helmet camera on it's yours...I plan on bringing at least 5 video tapes to record with, and after I'm done capturing the video I can mail you a VHS tape or DVD of all your clips... This is gonna be one bad ass trip!!!
  10. This is the one I got and love it...the quality that comes out of it is pretty damn good and the microphone picks up great as long as it's not in direct wind... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3824100431 I was thinking the same thing this morning...I'll be there in 3 weeks and a day!!! Do I need to pick up the beer before I leave on the trip or is there a place nearby the dunes that I can stock up at?
  11. Well, the cool thing is, if you have a camcorder that will accept an RCA input then you won't need anything. You could just stick your camcorder in the backpack and I'll hookup my bullet cam on your helmet and you're good to go. I think most digital camcorders have an input on the camera...If anyone wanted to bring their own camcorder that has an RCA input that wanted to hook up the helmet cam to it feel free to do so (that way you'd have something to take home right away), or if you wanna just wear my setup it's all good. I can make a "separate" DVD of just your riding if you wanted it too. If all goes well I should be able to have a "movie" made within a week after the trip, and I could mail everyone a copy Ever since I bought this helmet cam watching riding videos is a whole new experience! If led brings his sand rails I'd LOVE to get some video from it...I plan on bringing my digi cam and taking LOTS of pics as well; don't know how many more times I'm gonna be able to make it to the dunes so I'm gonna make the most of this trip!!
  12. Hey guys, I'm definitely planning on bringing my helmet cam (I could hook it up on anyone's helmet with velcro ) and I was thinking of making a DVD of the trip. Would anyone be willing to slap the camera on their helmet too? I think it would make for an awesome video with views from different riders/banshees...only thing is you'd have to ride with a fairly small backpack on. I was thinking of trying to rig up an a-arm or frame cam too. If you guys are interested I'll pick up some extra supplies and we could get some really cool angles on video of the trip. And of course, I can make copies of the DVD for anyone who would want one
  13. LMAO Stan, that's a great idea!
  14. me too...I knew it wasn't like him though to pop off a post like that. We need to get a "wife lock" for the HQ, seems like this is becoming a more frequent thing
  15. That would be awesome...I really appreciate that especially since I have no idea where I'm going!
  16. I was planning on leaving Memphis early Thursday morning (6 or 7AM). I'm going to drop my wife off in Fayetteville, AR on the way...which is roughly 4.5 hours from here. Big Blue, If you wanted to get out there before I make it up to Fayetteville its all good, I don't wanna interfere with anything you've already planned...
  17. When the doctors told my ass that's what was gonna happen if I couldn't piss it out; I was standing over the toilet with a strainer under my johnson squeezing like there was no tomorrow. For those who want to know more about them, HERE is a link explaining about the little bastards and what causes them...If you've never seen one before, scroll down a little on the page and check em out...I hope I never have them again
  18. Haha, let your raptor buddies think what they want, i smoke my cousins raptor in the trails. You just cant be a pussy with a banshee, if you are they will smoke you, its all rider. about the maitenance, obviously they dont own banshee's so how would they know. Get one man, they are a hell of a lot of fun to ride. Right on, my thoughts too.... If you know how to perform proper maintenance and upkeeping on a quad, you won't have any more problems out of a banshee than you would anything else. How well the banshee performs is depending on how well you take care of it...plain and simple.
  19. sredish, you got a hell of a wife!!! My wife and I do similar things like this but on a bit smaller scale...I think its awesome! She sure did pick out a sweet gift for ya...If I were you I'd get the matching set for the fronts, those wheels are tight! LMAO led, I bet your right....
  20. Are you mechanically inclined or do you take your quads to the dealer to get serviced? I've never had to rebuild my carbs, and I can ride a minimum of 20-30 hours before wanting to change my plugs...I think your friends just don't wanna get smoked
  21. I had kidney stones a few years back...I woke up one morning and it literally felt like someone was twisting a knife in my flesh. The absolute worst pain I think I ever had. Went to the emergency room and got a shot of Demoral and was peachy for the rest of the day. Thankfully when I was sedated I passed the stones and got to go home. It's amazing what them little boogers will do to you, so small yet the pain is almost unbearable. My doc said that my stones were more than likely caused by excessive amounts of caffeine and calcium deposits...Damn led, glad you're OK!!! I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone...except maybe the Iraqi's
  22. Yesssir, that is when I'll be there too...Everything still all good for me to meet up with you after I drop the wife off?
  23. I ride on 22 inch Holeshot XCR's...they do real good for trail riding
  24. I agree with everyone else, maintenance is a must...I rebuilt my entire engine when I got mine just so I knew what was in there and that it was done right. I take my shee through some of the nastiest spots Memphis has to offer and have had no problems with it at all. Been running strong for just about 2 years now, riding roughly 14 hours a month. Your banshee is only as good as you put it together!!!
  25. That would be correct
