Also keep in mind that if you're nuts are tight and your axle still has play in it then your bearings are worn, which could very well be your problem. You might want to consider getting an axle lock nut.

The only problem with this "discussion" is that it's not a discussion; it's basically you (Holyman) telling everyone that does not believe the way you do that they are wrong. I have no problems with the topic carrying on, but I only speak for myself and not others. There is nothing wrong with any one's beliefs; the only being that can truly judge you is God. ^^^^What he said...more or less, your floats in the carbs need some attention. They are probably out of adjustment and need to be set in the right position. If you have a clymers manual, it can tell you how to adjust them and what you need to do the job

Could be a clogged jet, or a severely dirty air filter...I'm leaning towards boonman's theory though, your problem could easily be a wiring issue. Check all plugs and connections to make sure they are snug. Grounds should be tight and must be on metal (opposed to paint/powdercoat, etc.)

I say it is out of adjustment. The quickest way to tell is to look on the case where the clutch cable is connected...make sure the arrow on the case is lined up with it. If you have a clymer's manual it has detailed pics of what to look for...Your clutch may not be bad; when the friction disks wear down the pressure plate has to move more to completely engage, therefore an adjustment needs to be made to "tighten things up" for lack of better terms. You can always adjust your clutch at the lever but I wouldn't mess with that unless the the arrows don't match up on the case.

I say buy a yfz450 to trail ride and buy a set of top end pipes for the banshee to drag it. It will be very hard to find a pipe that suits trail riding and dragging all in one. Your best bet is to research it a little and find the pipe that has a power curve that you will be happy with....or I guess you could buy two sets of pipes and swap them out to fit whatever riding you are about to do

Paul Turners for trails, rockets for dragging. The PT's are NOT a drag pipe at all. You can drag with them but if you're racing another banshee with a top end pipe you'll more than likely get smoked. What kind of riding do you do most? If you drag a lot, get the rockets. If you trail ride more than drag, get the PT's. If you want a pipe that's kind of in between, go with a set of Fattys; I hear the DMC pipes are good all around too

It all depends on what kind of K&N you are running...Is it one that drops into the airbox or are they clamp on K&N's? If it is one that drops in the airbox, are you going to run the lid or are you going to take the lid off? All of these variables play a role in what your jetting will need to be

Your clutch disks could be worn which would apply less "grabbing force"; i.e. it revs but doesn't pull hard. A clutch that is out of adjustment would give the exact symptom you are describing. I went through this with my banshee a couple months ago
