  1. that's why it's important to take another ride before actually picking it up, and paying up. then you could have told the guy to shove it, or at least gotten a price reduction. lesson learned the hard way, right?? i'd go with the tusk kit. cheaper end of the market, but seems to be pretty dependable in a slightly mod'd shee. if your shee is decked out, you'll want to step it up to something else.
  2. ditto...
  3. i don't doubt that one bit. just sitting on my shee with them on i can tell i'm gonna need to move the shifter up a few notches. going to take some getting used to, i'm sure. but i think it will be worth it.
  4. cool. good chance i'll at least be getting the cover. thanks.
  5. i've used a small corded bungee looped around the frame, for about 4 years now. lol.
  6. well i went to the only shop that carries them, and looked at the thor's, forma pro's and t6's, they didn't have any t4's. the t6's were definitely more comfortable for me than the forma pro's, and seemed to have a better buckle system. they just seemed to work a little easier on the t6's. a bit more than i wanted to spend, but after trying on other boots the same price range as the t4's, there was definitely a big difference in fit and feel. the dude i was dealing with said that would be the case with the t4's as well. so... i think i'm gonna spring for the t6's. sounds like you can't go wrong with alpinestars, and at least i'll be upgrading from my original plan and getting better boots. Thanks for all the input guys it really helped me narrow things down and find what's right for me. by the way, the shops price was $240, which seems reasonably fair compared to anywhere else i've found.
  7. chris642... how do you like your DMP seat cover and graphics? i've been debating about getting them. at least the seat cover anyway to add a little color. the only cover i've seen similar to it was from Ceet years ago, and i was told they dont make that style with the banshee logo anymore the DMP cover is more the style i'm looking for, over just a multi color design.
  8. that's what i was thinking too... for as much mud and shit that i clean off from the under side of my fronts after a ride, i'm sure it would be on me instead if i cut them. had them off once and it does give a pretty cool view though.
  9. my 15 yr old nephew insisted on getting 'all balls' for his blaster, just because of the name and 'all balls' sticker that comes with them. no problems yet though, so they can't be too bad. still a toss up between them and the tried and true pivot works though. great to see they have good service also
  10. sounds like it's narrowed down to tech 4's or forma pro's...only a few of the shops around here stock boots and they have very limited selection. gonna try to scout around a little tomorrow for them. at least now i have a little more direction of what to go with. thanks for the input fellas
  11. not on a shee, but my kx, same as some others the piston skirt shattered and locked her up tight. no warning, just bogged out then CLUNK!!
  12. embarassing moment for the girl, but i bet she became a lot more popular after that! guess that explains why girls are usually the teacher's pets also
  13. one for the thumb!! anyone hear what tickets are going for? i've heard for what's left, cheap seats are around $2000, and up to about $7000 it's gonna cost me some pizza's, a few drinks, an evening on the couch. and i'll probably see 10x as much, but damn, it would be great to be there.
  14. thanks ruko. i'm going to place an order with RM soon, and they may well be part of it.
  15. i'm looking to get some riding boots for this spring/summer. more around the price range of $200 and under. anyone have experience with the tech 4's, or suggest a comparible boot? kind of like the thor t-30's too. i definitely want the atv soles also. thanks.
  16. i couldn't really tell you left from right by the bottoms, but... the left bowl, on the inside has a chamber molded into the body of the bowl, i think on the left side of the bowl also. look into the hole and at the bottom you will see a small jet, and an opening into the bowl on the outer side. that's your 'starter jet'. the right side bowl will not have this. i think it may have the same chamber, but no jet in the bottom, and no opening into the bowl. hope that helps.
  17. if i remember correctly, the vent from the rear of the motor near the mount goes into it, one branches to the sidecase near the impeller and connects underneath the outer impeller cover, and the other just runs up the frame under the tank and out near the steering stem. i believe they are all just vent hoses
  18. yeah, and they're probably thinking 'man this guy is such a dumb ass, falling for all this shit'. so who wins?? oh well, it's still entertaining.
  19. i'd replace the basket, p-plate, and hub as well. if $$ is an issue, at least replace them with new stock ones. look closely at the old ones for stress cracks, grooves in the basket fingers, etc. i'd hate to have the clutch components let loose from the extra stress from other mods.
  20. right back at ya ecooke21.. just hackin on ya man. welcome again to the HQ
  21. i usually just let them ramble on too. it's interesting how much non-sense or bs stories people come up with sometimes, and expect people to fall for it. if you ever do call somebody on it, that pretty much ends the conversation though
  22. cexualcensations maybe you should pm 'sheemale'
  23. qualifications for a premium membership include having a banshee... that looks like a banshee!!
  24. you came to the right place welcome to the site.
  25. i'd be talking to the guy again, and ask how long it's been doing that. it's not normal. common, but not 'normal'. you have a water leak somewhere, probably a bad impeller seal. pull the cover and see if the impeller is still intact, that will be your first clue. i wouldn't run it till you figure it out and get it fixed. antifreeze tends to ruin clutch plates as well.
