i'm with kayleigh, i liked the narnia books as a kid, and had to see the movie. but now my 4yr old girl watches it day after day, over and over if we'd let her. but it's cool, it's a good movie. actually she's sitting beside me watching it again right now, lol.

i'm no doctor so i'm not gonna tell you this or that, but as a first responder i'd say that you should get it looked at to be on the safe side. you can easily cause more severe damage to it under a less stressful situation if there is an underlying injury.

i think snowmoquadthingy was the name of it. 1st it was skis and tracks put onto quads, now this what's next, banshees with wings?? now there's a project for somebody

whats a new banshee go for in youre area?
MILO replied to csrmel's topic in General Banshee Discussion
damn, you guys made out good. my '01 was $5,999 + taxes and so on. but i was trading my '00 blaster in on it so i'm sure that had a lot to do with it or i could have haggled more. but they did give me $300 of free accessories at the shop, so i guess it wasn't too bad of a deal afterall. -
helldriver, how can you believe in hell and driving yourself to it, and obvoiusly believe in demons and so on by your avatar, but yet not believe in the existance of anything such as Christ, God, and heaven? i'm not picking on you specifically, i just never understood that kind of thing with anybody we could all go round and round over this topic again and again, and never solve anything for anybody. nothing anybody sais or supposedly has proof of this or that is going to turn me away from my Christian upbringing, experiences, and faith. i'm sure it's the same for non-believers and their views. but i do know this...i've seen enough from both sides of the coin to know that there are such things as good and evil, heaven and hell, life and afterlife. i'm sure most of the rest of you have also, but your background and beliefs determine how things are interpreted in your own mind, whether you believe it or not, accept it or not, follow it or not. but you cannot deny the existance of 'something' being out there that is beyond what you yourself are capable of being, creating, or even remotely understanding. you cannot just write off everything that exists or occurs in our world as mere circumstance or coincidence. so why does it seem so unreasonable that a higher power is in control of it all?

yeah, new paris is about the same elevation. that's what i wanted to hear, thanks blue

i'm into a top end rebuild, so while i've got the motor out and torn down, i'm looking into other simple things also. basically, i want to stick with pump gas, and not have to worry about pulling the crank to be trued and welded. i'm waiting on the shop to determine if my cylinders will stay stock bore or need to go to .020 or whatever over. just recieved my noss head w/20cc domes. going with wiseco pro-lites also. no porting done and probably won't be in the near future. i'm looking at adding v3's and a RS timing plate, possibly up to 4 degrees from what i've read. am i safe to do all of this and stick with premium pump gas and not pull the crank? or what do i need to drop out of the plan? timing or v3's, or both? and will the 20cc domes still be cool to use? riding elevation between 1000'-2000'. pc pipes, pro flow w/no lid boyesen reeds (currently)
-
won't adjusting one and not the other throw the carbs out of sync? i always thought you should make equal adjustments to each one.
-
i've always depended on wiseco's for any rebuilds. don't think you can go wrong there. new cylinders from the stealership will run about $400 each. that's definitely not the way to go. get it honed/bored, new pistons, wristpin bearings, gaskets etc. and you'll be looking at roughly $250 to do it yourself. your head manufacturer may sell replacement domes for the head also, i'd look into that.

i don't know how old you are, or where you live or anything, so it's difficult to give good advice. but, as hard as it may sound to do- get your priorities straight, in other words put the money into the truck first. odds are you will need a dependable vehicle more than a hopped up shee. at least then you could load up the stocker in the truck and head for the trails/dunes or whatever and have a piece of both worlds.

yeah, but they usually see you when you flip them off or cuss them afterwards, and then they get all pissed off at you for it like you're just being an ass! i'd say get your wife involved. maybe she's just upset that it will be something else to take more time away from the two of you. take her shopping for a bike with you, let her 'help' pick one. take her for rides, if she's into it, get her her own bike. we got my wife a 250 ninja and we had lots of good rides together. until the kids came along. pregnancy and babies put a damper on the bike riding, but she still has the bike, and absolutely refuses to sell it even though it just sits in the garage now, unless i ride it. she'll be back on it someday.

seized up motor? locked in 5th gear?
MILO replied to zyrockdaddy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
ok, i'm new to this end of things so this may be a dumb question but... if tranny oil doesn't enter into the crank/cylinder area, then how would anything from the piston or anything get into the tranny? i'm concerned cuz my piston top was missing chunks and pieces of ring. i figured they blew out the exhaust if anything. -
Rubber plugs in the bottom of the cylinders
MILO replied to Capone's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i just dropped my cylinders off at the shop yesterday, and if the plugs aren't there or in bad shape when i get it back, they'll be replacing them, not me. -

passion racing, fast toys, noss machine, briggs and stratton... yeah, that sounds about right those races are pretty cool to watch on tv. a guy that lives beside my work has a hopped up mower. i followed him up the road one day on the way home doing about 40. some kid on a bicycle was hanging on to the fender getting a free ride. now there's a way to save on gas expenses.

imler, pa here. just another pa farming area. mountains, farms, mountains, farms. oh yeah, more mountains and farms.

it sounds like a good idea, but i think it would be extremely difficult to regulate and manage respectfullyand successfully, and any monetary or moderator requirements could be used in better ways to improve the hq. i think it would be much easier for the folks on here to manage their porn enough to keep it elsewhere. don't get me wrong, i like seeing chics on shees, bikes or whatever, but it is getting out of hand. i seriously doubt that parents think when their kid is looking up banshee info, they also have access to porn pics in the next thread. then again, for the rest of us, it's one of those things, if you don't want to see it, don't look up those threads. it's a tough one, but i'd rather see this site continue to be a wealth of information about banshees and related things, and check out free porn on 89.com or something.

anything over 2 plugs hasn't held air for me. i put 5 in one just to be able to make the 10 mile trip home, still had to stop and pump her up a few times. anything more than 2 i'd try a vulcanizing patch, or a new tire.
-
exactly...but i'd go with a tusk gasket kit. it's a little cheaper and i've never had any trouble with tusk products.
-
pd foam filters - no lid. we hit some water and creek crossings time to time, but nothing over the box. haven't had any problems yet with no lid. just clean it frequently. usually just the outer filter is dirty, the inner one is usually good.

do you have the little crossover tube on between the carbs?
-
you know, i'm not really sure what effect it may have. but it's under tremendous pressure in there and i'd hate to have it fail somehow. personally, it would drive me nuts just knowing that that chunked up thing is on my engine. besides, now i'm getting a perty blue one from nossmachine. i'm anxious to see how it cools and how the 20cc domes change anything.
-
my timing isn't advanced at all. no offense bud, but i'm gonna stick with the 20's like noss said. doesn't the timing advance tie into porting to really be worthwhile? and won't either one change the dome size needed? hey bud, look at the pics of the dome in the stock head, i think it's trashed. even if it would be repairable it's a good oppurtunity and excuse to upgrade i already have the pd impeller, installed last spring. thanks anwyay.

is that what your talking about? that's just a piece of carbon build up (i'm assuming) or gasket material. i mostly ride between 1000-2000', and according to the chart at that elevation i'd be near the edge of need race gas with 19's, wouldn't i? i want to stick to pump gas. i've been chatting with dlnoss and he agreed that 20's would be a safe bet. i'm going to take the jugs to a local shop tomorrow and see what they tell me about getting them honed. blueshee03, have you ever dealt with keystone kawasaki/yamaha in newry for such things? bedford yamaha is about the same distance for me but i usually deal with keystone or barnharts.
