i have a set of works triple rates w/o rezzies and they work great for trails. just keep an eye on the bushings, they tend to wear out quick and you have to contact works for replacements. all in all, they are great shocks for the $$.
-
i kind of like my dumbo ears  i rode without mine on once and got a face full of mud and water on the trails. i'll admit i like the look and have considered doing it, but until i start hittin the dunes instead of trails and mud, i'll just sticker them up and let them flop. by the way, noss heads kick ass!! excellent product and support from dlnoss.

haha, another parking brake bites the dust!! why can't the yammy guys see that some of their stuff is destined to fail? that's why you gotta love this site. you won't run into anything that some other banshee owner hasn't already suffered through and found a solution for.
-
are you sure you're bleeding them right? don't be offended but i've seen guys misunderstand how to bleed the brakes right. if it worked fine b4 the pad change and that's all you did there shouldn't be any issues. i was just wondering why you decided to bleed the line after changing pads anyway? it's not necessary with just a pad change. i'm assuming that ... 1. you have the res cap off 2. the res is full so that when fluid draws in it doesn't draw air also 3. open the bleeder 4. compress the pedal 5 close the bleeder 6. return the pedal to normal position 7 check res level and fill if needed 8. repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat............................ if the res cap is back on, the caliper and master are clean and ok, and there's no leaks anywhere, and there is still no pressure to the pedal or no braking happening, then  it just sounds to me like there is still air in the line. bleed it again.

just make sure that you have the cable loosened at the perch first, make the adjustment to the push lever assembly, and then readjust it at the perch. if that doesn't do the trick you're in for a new clutch kit. tusk kits are only about $35 from RMATV and seem to be a pretty good clutch if you need one. while you have it apart doing the adjustment, try to pull out the rod and ball from behind the adjustment screw and inspect for wear or signs of over heating. they tend to get welded together and cause clutch failure. i've even seen the push lever wear out where the rod contacts it causing major slippage issues, but you need to pull the whole assembly out to inspect that.

friends, family, coworkers, local newspapers, local sale papers, local shops... probably the biggest sale paper in my area is The Trader's Guide. it has a little bit of everything and they have them at almost every gas station or store in the area.

plastic piece between main jet and carb
MILO replied to atvfreestylekid's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
the main jet doesn't hold it on there anyway, like the others said it just slips over the main. i agree though that once the carb bowl is back on, they won't go anywhere. it should be fine. -
sorry bud, i think you can only get that from the yammy shop. can't you order one and have it shipped next day air or something. check out ronnies.com or something. i'm sure you can have it shipped quicker than a stealership will get it for you. ronnies.com

thanks bud, now i have a new background.
-
i see. yeah, that would have to be a yammy part. i don't think anyone in the aftermarket makes those.
-
i'd say that it really depends on where and how much you ride, or more accurately, how much abuse your shee takes. just keep an eye on them and replace as needed. hey badbrad, your sig looks like a def leppard album cover. cool.

benbb made some really cool wall papers for the HQ - the banshee and babes monthly was a great idea. maybe somebody with some skills can volunteer to take on this challenge. i'm sure there are tons of people here who would appreciate it. maybe someone can hook up with Lee and make it part of the BHQ premium membership to have access to them and help draw in some memberships to support the effort.

glad to hear you got it figured out and taken care of. do you mean the impeller itself or the gear that drives it, on the inner side of the cover? if it's the impeller, did you get a replacement stocker or an aftermarket billet one? if you got the stocker, keep an eye on it, they are destined to fail.
-
interesting, i didn't realize that the temps got that low there. sorry to hear about your injury. take it easy and hope you have a speedy recovery so you can get back to tearing it up on the shee.
-
they look great, pull good bottom to top, sound awesome. i haven't even considered getting different pipes for my shee after the pc's. add the pc's, increase air flow and rejet, and your shee will definitely come to life. you'll love it.
-
i wish i could put mine into the shee, or my blazer, or a new cbr1000rr, but... 1. a new front porch for my house 2. a car port on the side of the house 3. finish my driveway around to the back of the house to my garage 4. a storage shed for my mower and other stuff to clean up my garage and basement 5. maybe a new sticker for the banshee, a really fast one too damn, i'm gonna be in debt after this spring, not splurging with surplus $$.

if you're coolant took a sudden drop in level and you don't have any leaks anywhere, it may either have been an air pocket in the system, or worse, you're impeller seal or crankcase to clutch cover seal gave out. i'd double check your tranny oil to be sure the coolant isn't leaking into it. the stock impeller is junk and breaks up causing the seal to deteriate and leak into the tranny. if that's the case, you'll probably notice the clutch slipping in the higher gears. a bad impeller would also explain the coolant not flowing in different areas well and one area being hotter than another. on a different topic, how's the old palm islands coming along over there. my workplace has been manufacturing water cooling towers for the palms and pearl of qatar for months on end. the pictures that we get back of the islands and the evergrowing city look pretty impressive. indoor ski slopes in the middle of the desert  that would have to be cool.

not to hijack your thread or anything, but i run bandits in the rear also. i really like them on my shee. they seem to do well in mud, hardpack, trails, whatever. the only place they seem to really break loose is in wet grass, they get really squirrely there. but i would imagine that any banshee would.
-
holy shit, that's some awesome air for a rhino it depends on what kind of riding you want to do. if it's just poking around sight seeing, maybe some mudding, i'd go for the rhino. if you are still a sport rider and want to rip around, i'd go for the razor. my boss recently bought a razor and they are pretty cool rides.

the tusk kit should work fine for you, i haven't had any problems with mine and you can't beat the price. like climbanyhill, i almost always upgrade when replacing anything. i have a hinson basket but stayed with a new stock inner hub and p-plate.
-
i think they're switching everything over to the '08 plan. they are slowly getting more items availabe for '08 models. i'm sure the prices are a result of it. they're setting up for next years business. same as everything else, new prices for the new year, even though some of it is the same old shit.
-
yeah they do, and your shee would be smokin as bad as the toked out guys at half of the dealerships. 32:1 - yamalube don't constantly switch brands or mixes either. pick one, and stick with it. i wouldn't suggest using your yamalube and castrol both. pass one or the other onto another buddy.

where is a good place to get sprk plugs?
MILO replied to '04limited's topic in General Banshee Discussion
same here :yelrotflmao: -
if you are ordering on line make sure to make an account with them and use it for every purchase. once you start dealing with RMATV you won't go anywhere else, unless it is for specialty items that they don't carry. i just wish that they had a store here on the east coast somewhere. they need to spread like Cabela's. then again, i'd probably be broke if there were an RMATV here in Pa.
-
any items left over after carefull installation and assembly are factory extras bud, so you don't really need them anyway. :yelrotflmao: don't feel bad, i'm sure we've all been there once, some maybe twice. :yelrotflmao:
