  1. You might need something bigger than a 35 for a stroker motor. My 35 works good for a ported motor so I am sure that you could get away with a 38 or something larger
  2. The last thing that I was thinking about doing to my motor was the dyna ignition and maybe lighten my flywheel. Everything else is done. Does anybody have this mod done? How do you like it? Where can I get one for a good price. Thanks guys.
  3. come on you 2-1 people
  4. Hey I ride in glamis only and I have the 2-1 carb with a 35. Check out my list of things that I have in my profile. Am I loosing horsepower with the 35 2-1? I want to be fast and dont really care about loosing a little down low for a bunch more up top. I have never seen and dyno testing with the 2-1 so I am wondering what the loss is compaired to the 28's or the 33? I do plan on going to a +4 in the future too but, not untill next year or longer.
  5. How much should I add then?? 50\50 of 113 and 91? This is the thing that I dont get.
  6. I would say that you should run a 48 pilot and a 172-175 main jet and the clip on the 3 spot. Make sure that your reed pedels are new and strong with the 2-1 kit. I ride in glamis and this is what I ran. Before I had old reeds and I had to run a 38 pilot because the reeds would let both run into on and just mess everything up. So after talking to harry about this he told me to get new reeds. Good luck and these jets are for a 35 pwk so it might be a little different.
  7. You might have got the tors crap wet so take them off. There is two plugs at the carbs and one under the gas tank on the left side. And while you are at it take off the parking brake too. That shit never works and it weighs about 2lbs.
  8. Hey I had this same question about 2 weeks ago. I just had mine ported too by ted boyko. It is a mild drag port but not so much a dune port. I had 145 with 18cc domes too. I was hoping for 175 like you were so I guess we are safe at what we are at. Now because I am only at 145 do I still have to run race gas??????? I have +4 timming too. Oh and I ride at glamis.
  9. they are worth it if you get the ones that mount on the handle bars. That way they are higher. Also when you turn the lights do too.
  10. check the compression. If a bike is real pippy then it can mean that it is time to rebuild the top end.
  11. Maybe you should look into getting a +4 stroker instead. Just something to think about.
  12. if you are planning on going big bore or stroker then go with the out of frames with silencers from cpi. I saw them in person last weekend and they look and sound awesome. I just might sell my t-5's and get a +4 stroker and those pipes to shut my friends up with their 250r atc's.
  13. for sand ridding I would go with T-6 or CPI's in frame or out of frame with silencers depending on how crazy you want to go.
  14. you can get mavin shaw shocks with no link deisign or many others too.
  15. Port it. There is a gain that is way more than all the other little stuff you can do by porting the cylinders. Dont get caught up in this boost bottle, degree key, reeds stuff. Just port it and if that is not fast enough then add a head, timming plate, reeds, ignition.
  16. where is gordons well? I always go to glamis and might end up going that weekend if my buddy buys a sand rail and my girl can ride in that so she does not get mad at me for leaving for another weekend.
  17. I already ported it. I am talking about the sealing serface of the manifold to the reeds
  18. I have seen them in the cooler of the six pack rack.
  19. I am talking about the manifold meeting the reeds. On the 2-1 carb set up the ruber intake does not come in contact with the reeds at all. It goes carb to rubber to manifold to reeds then to the cylinders.
  20. I was looking at the manifold from trinity and my v-force reeds. They dont even come close to matching up. Has anybody else noticed this. I took out the dremal and took off about 1\8 inch from the inside edge of the v-force reeds. I do not have a before and after ride test but I am sure that it will flow air and gas better. Please look at this and check what I am talking about. It is a huge miss match!!!!!! Oh ya and if you are going to put your quad on top of your 92 taurus make sure the tranny is in very good shape because I did this and made 131 miles and then it broke. Damm I really need a chevy does someone know anyone that can hook me up????????????? lates
  21. Ya it is all ported and everything is different including boost ports but even if I got 16cc domes that might put me at 170? That is about where I want to be but did not think that I would have to use 16cc domes
  22. is this true?????? DO I need to warm it up first??????
  23. I just rebuilt my motor and now I have 140psi before break in. I have 18cc domes at sea level and a mx port. Is this normal???? I was thinking that 190-220 is what I would have. Or will it go up after the break in? I need to know what gas to run so it wont blow up.
  24. who did the port and how much comp and can you post a pic of the dyno?
  25. I would have to say paint that yamaha puts on the cylinders that some how got on the reeds. As far as the rods mine were the same way too.
