I am pretty sure that your exhaust controls how far your engine can rev up to. I Dont think you can go past "redline", if thats your question. Dont know what pipes you have, but Shearer pipes rev to 11,000 rpm on a 4 mil stroker.
If I trim it to fit a 17, will that make it less able to save the case? I mean, since I have to remove material from the case saver, will that weaken it? I already bought one, and I will run a 15 to be safe, but I would like to run a 17.
tia
anybody know where to get a case saver that will fit with a 17 tooth front sprocket without modification? The ones on ebay are only good to a 15 and the modquad ones dont say.
its easy, remove clutch cover, remove water pump covers, remove circlip that retains water pump impeller, switch out impeller, then reverse. of course you have to drain oil and coolant too
are you using pump gas like from a gas station, ie 93 octane? I thought anything over 160psi needed at least some pump/race gas mix
I may have heard wrong
good,
I had a hell of a time trying to get the engine out with the head and cylinders on, but I was alone, so i just took them off. I want to put it all together this time so I can just bolt it up and go.
Can the engine be reinstalled with cylinders and head in place? I removed the jugs and head before removing engine, but I was wondering if I could reassemble the whole thing then slap it back in there.
I was marine from 97-03, I tried to join AF but I had been in trouble with the law and they wouldnt take me, so I went next door and signed up with USMC, Im so glad I did that. Marine corps is the way to go.
I told jim the type of riding I do and he ported to what I told him. He didnt give me an mx port and it is not quite a full drag port so I am calling it a dune port. I dont know what else to call it. You can look at the pics and I can meaure my exhaust port from the top of the cylinder so you can get an idea of the port work.
