For a good, worth while top end port job its going to cost a little more. I have a top end 12 port from passion racing but the porting alone cost 500. It has an average to below average midrange hit, but the top end pull is hard to describe with words. I drag alot too and I usually win.

or give Dan a call at A&S he can build sick engines.

Im not positive on the price but I believe it was 200 for the first cyl and the second cyl he gave my friend a discount. Id email him to make sure though
I know this is not a drag racing question but it seems like most people with cheetahs do drag them so I am posting in the drag forum to get the most feed back.
I Just a ordered a cheetah +4mm and was wondering about cpi big bore inframes and the carbs. Someone told me there may be a fitting issue. He said those pipes may hit the carbs. Said I needed out frames. I know out frames yield the most power but, I still ride with my buddies on backroads and trails and I dont want to be running around like a mad man drag racer with big pipes shooting out the side of my shee.
the carbs are 35 pwk

220 sounds a little on the lean side for a full exhaust and k&n. Boring doesnt produce much power gains and niether does a home made port job. Although my buddy has these templates and he ported his own jugs and got some good gains. I forget where got the templates but they have been talked about on here.
ok thanks, can the pj 34 support similar horsepower levels as the pwk 35? For instance, trinity says the 400cc cheetah kit needs 35pwk, but could pj 34 do just as good or do I need that extra one milimeter?

Definatley gonna need to get port job to get the most out of those carbs. Your buddies wont stand much of a chance if you get a good port job. Especially if you race them on pavement.
oh I didnt notice that you said you can hang with them until sixth gear, I would just put 15 tooth front sprocket on then try.
Check this chart out
http://www.trinityracing.com/pages/jetting...heejetting.html
The chart says engines with a stage 4 port job and twin 35mm carbs, the main jet should be at or near 165, and if you look at the bottom of the chart it says a 500cc engine with stage 4 port w/35mm carbs main jet 158. Is this correct? How come alot of people on here have port jobs and 35's but are running main jets well into the 170's. I know all bikes are different but thats a big difference isnt it.
thanks
I second the passion porting, I have a 12 port drag from passion and I have had no probs or complaints yet. I lost some bottom end but I am not concerned with how it runs in the mid to low rpm's
yeah try to race him on pavement if you can, I can give my cousin a head start on his yfz and still win. Oh and make sure its not a short race those yfz have a lot of low end.
