    wheelie bar

Try going 60"- 65".A good asphault bar I found is to use 2 small wheels like a bigger roller blade or one of those razor things.Space them about 12" apart and run 2 top tubes from the subframe down to each wheel and run 2 tubes from the carrier to each wheel.Put a cross brace right behind the wheels on the bottom and just behind where it bolts to the carrier. You can put like an X brace towards the middle of the bar to tie all 4 tubes together. A good place to start on asphault is setting the wheelie bar tire about 2" from the ground.
  7. Go with Passion. With the 12 port you send your jugs, unless you need him to supply some. The stroker is a +4 unless you want something bigger.I do agree with everyone else about staying clear of trinity.Jim can hook you up with carbs for a good bit cheaper. The 35mm pwks are a great choice.I would also recomend some Shearer pipes.

    wheelie bar

Got any pictures of your set-up?Are you running a shock or strut?Dirt or asphault. It could be a number of things. The most common problems are the bar is too short, too high,or just built too stiff.Ive been through all of these. You should make it adjustable if you can. It'll help on different track conditions.I like to being able to adjut it from 3'' off the ground to about 6''. May be a little hard to see,but I like the single bar on top and two on bottom. It mounts with heims to the carrier, and to the mount I welded to the subframe. The whole thing was built with 3/4 X .058 seamless mild steel.I am going to build all new wheelie bars this winter with chromoly. The mild steel doesnt have memory like the moly.So the bar I have now is actually bowed a bit.I have had no other problems with it.
  10. OH SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY!!!!
  11. We know I'm gonna say Passion.
  12. We used to change them after about 30hrs,But on the motors I have now its way less.
  13. I'm pretty sure we'll be there.Unless it rains or snows and the cancel it.
  14. I guess it won't turn into a pissing contest, madkaw finds it just as funny as I do.
  15. No it's realy gonna become a pissing match.LOL
  16. Wrong.Matt Shearer is a great pipe designer.I won't be getting into this piss match but you should take your own advise.I talked to RDZ awhile back and he told me straight up that Matt designed the pipes. He may be welding them together but he used to get the stampings from Matt.Maybe he gets them somewere else now but they used to come from Matt.
  17. Don't take this the wrong way but,I can remember not to long ago when you were very wrapped up in dyno numbers. What made you change your mind? The first thing anyone would say when I would post about my motor was they wanted Dyno numbers.I was saying the same thing you are now,but still I was always asked for dyno sheets. Like I said, don't take it the wrong way,I'm just confused.
  18. Passion racing is the best price I found for Shearer's.$450. chrome outta frames.I would also recomend him for a port job.If you are looking for Cubs he can hook you up on those as well.I'm sure can match or beat just about anybody's price.
  19. Jim from Passion can set you up with what you need.He ported my 4 mill stock cylinders for drag racing,I am very pleased with them.We run 500ft. and I left Pop's run it last night and he laid down a best time of 5.8. I don't know what it equals out to in 300ft but I'm sure it is respectable for a 390cc motor on gas.
  20. There is alot of cutting to the drum so the forks just slide like butter.Every other dog is cut from the gears and the rest are angle cut.The only time you use the clutch is when you take off at the line or let off unless you are in top gear. Most over rides are a 1-5.It depends on the riders ability to shift without an over ride on how much time is shaved off.You can see anywhere fom 1 to 4 tenths of a gain. The only place to get an over ride is Rudy Kurtz in my opinion. He is the one that made the first over ride close to 25 years ago.Yeah you can put an RZ tranny in a banshee. The gearing in first is lower than a banshee and 2-5 is a higher ratio with 6 pretty close to stock. They are fun in a banshee But for drag racing they just don't hold up to the power as well as a stock tranny. With high power machines I know of RZ trannys that started to crack mostly second and third gear with less than 40 passes.
  21. If you are unsure about what octane to use, start out higher. But if the bike seems too rich on bottom and you can't realy fix the jetting then the octane maybe a little to high.I ran into this while playing with domes.
  22. I run the pro wedges at the one track we go to.Its a sand dirt mix and the pw work awesome.I would run paddles but the shut down is way to hard packed for them just as alcoholbanshee said.At the other track the dirt is more clay based and too hard for the pw or paddles.I usually run turf tamers with every fourth row cut out, they seem to work better for my set-up.I found out one thing,be prepared to buy alot of tires because there is no one perfect tire for all the diff. types of tracks and chassis set-ups.
  23. The Kenda sport radials seem to hook like a mother on the hard packed dirt tracks.
