  1. The situation was that I was using the autotimer on the camera and I set it on the dock 4 ft away. It was about 25 degrees out, so I wasn't going to get out to go find a rock to set the camera on.
  2. Increasing compression (or even advancing timing) typically does not require a jetting change. But it is a safe practice to keep an eye on your spark plug color whenever you change something on your engine. Oh, and I do recommend getting your crank welded with these mods.
  3. Dirtclod, you might also try replacing your spark plug boots.
  4. Just something to also consider...when you add that extra HP, your front end is going wheelie alot easier dumping the clutch off the line. You might also think about extending your stock swing arm a couple of inches.
  5. A buddy tried the hush kit with his toomey and it made his shee a dog in the dunes. He ended up just using the elbows from the kit and directed the sound downward.
  6. I bolted my new CPI's on last week. Just watch that the pipes clear the frame. I had to shim the exhaust hangers out on one side about 1/4" so the chambers wouldn't rub.
  7. I'll be there too...cleaning up after people.
  8. Here's a link to the Eugene News artcle on it. http://pub21.ezboard.com/fsandlakedunersfr...icID=1279.topic
  9. Since I can strip/assemble my entire banshee down with a few metric wrenchs, Phillips screwdriver and a flywheel puller (and maybe hammer for bearings)...I not really seeing the benefit. Here is an idea for you though....People might us your service to "dial in" there bikes or to try new and different performance parts. People are always wondering how brand A is going to perform compare to brand B. If you had all these parts available for people to bolt on to thier bikes (in these bays) and then test them on the dyno, I am sure people would be interested.
  10. I usually just look oem parts from Riva http://www.rivayamaha.com/ and then support my local dealer or performance shop.
  11. Looks cool...I like it. I wonder if Yamaha is going to come after you for copyright infringment of their logo? (j/K) I know lots of peeps have Fox tattoos...so its cool to see you did something different.
  12. I took a pic of mine after I modified it. It should be at +4 (maybe +5). As you can see, I have about 1/8" of material left on the two holes.
  13. I recently installed a +4 that I extended myself and I really like it and recommend it for those running 22" paddles. The other benefit of not going more that +4 is that you only have to by one chain. Mine took 119 links. I understand that those who go bigger than +4 have to buy two chains and have two master links.
  14. You will find that with 22's (and proper gearing), you will be able to make it up some sand hills that will leave those running 20's high-n-dry on their rear carrier. I love my 22's for play riding way more than my 20's. It took about a day to get used to the extra hookup and fun.
  15. I too made the same mistake once. I used a die to correct the threads.
  16. I cut mine similar to Cotton eyed Joe. I used a black sharpie marker. Rough cut it with a saws all. Went back with a hack saw blade to do a fine cut. Used a dremel and sanding disk to flatten any wows. Used fine sand paper to finish it. Used rubbing alky to remove any left over sharpie marks.
  17. The 22x11x8's will hook up more than the 20x10x10's, but with 22's you are also going to have to plan to drop the gearing down.
  18. Its just the '96s that will do that!
  19. That is probably true. To me it looked like someone asaso;h svofh aosPDSsoidsfhs;fnalsfhj alnfs banging asjawq09u2r a[osaosifhjsd fj on the asjsoijasdfpoif keyboard. It just a misunderstanding...all is cool.
  20. I bought the 22x11x8 (9 paddle) Extreme's and highly recommend them. I am geared at 13/44 as well with a full port 350. When I measured the distance between the paddles...it is very close to the same distance as the 20x10x10 (8 paddle). So if you get a 22" tire, get at least the 9 paddle.
  21. I would say go ahead and try at 43 and see if you like it. The one nice thing about going to 13/43 is that you will gain room for chain adjustment. With 13/41, there not alot of room left to tighten up the chain.
