  1. hey guys, I never got back to reply to this thread. Everything worked out. I like someone said I had to cut the silencers and use high temp silicone hose. It got me through the sound check, everyone that worked there where betting that I wouldn't make it in. It passed with flying colors, 89 decibels!! My banshee ran just about the same, there was a little bogging on the bottom end but still screamed on the top end. I will purchase myself a Hush kit this winter, I kinda liked having quiet exhaust. Thanks for the tips guys!!
  2. my buddy has them on his Raptor 700, and has had no problems. The places we ride used to cause him to get alot of bead leaks, and since he put those on hasnt had one. This past weekend we went to a former ore mine, with lots and lots of BIG rocks, no problems. I have C series with holeshot HD's all around and the edges did get dinged up but not that bad. If ya got the money go for it!
  3. I am wondering if my T-5 headers will work together with my stock silencers? The reason I ask this dumb question... The place we are supposed to be going to this weekend requires a sound check and needs a spark arrestor. Its too late in the week for me to order a Toomey Hush kit so this is my last resort. This is the last weekend I will have to go riding until next spring, all the fun places close for Deer season then snowmobiling. SO PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW ASAP. I would go check myself but my Banshee isn't at my house!
  4. hey! you still got that hush kit?? shoot me an email at polaris336@aol.com. how did it work? i need one asap to go to a gravel pit and wanna get some feed back before i buy one. thanks!
  5. hey guys, i just rebuilt my banshee. and Finally have all my parts in my hands. went and got $45 dollars in jets from 330's to 360's and 27.5 pilots. before i rebuilt it i had a proflow with foam filter with the lid removed, with t-5's all else stock with the engine. it didnt blow up or anything. 4 year old engine thats never been touched. just time for a overhaul... now im gonna run Pod's with outerwears. i was running 300's, stock pilots, and cant remember what groove the needles where on. shee ran good. what would you guys recommend for jets when i do the 1st start up with the pods? i live in minnesota. this weekend it will be about 70 to 80. elevation at about 800ft if i remember right? thanks!!
  6. i bought mine from rockymountain for like 57 and that comes with the idle kit.
  7. im gonna be runnin the pods on my shee this year as well, and was wondering what ones to get.. do you just order them by the dimensions? dennis kirk has them as a universal k&n sold by dimensions? can someone tell me what ones to order? THANKS!
  8. i just had my cylinders honed on friday at my work, which is a Diesel Truck shop. The mechanic that did mine in our engine shop used 80-90 with some Clean parts washing fluid. he told me that it works as a lube and the parts cleaner gets rid of the residue....
  9. BUMP can anyone give me some suggestions????
  10. hey guy's i dont post on here alot, but i do alot of reading on here and you guys really seem to know your shit! so i want the answers that im looking for straight from you guys! ive had my Banshee going on 4 years, crashed it a last year and then did a frame down and then started over, wicked +2 arms, elka dual rates, new T-5's all new bearings, bushings and had everything sand blasted and powdercoated. never touched the engine yet till now. im going to ST. Anthony Dunes in Idaho in june, and i feel its time to do a new topend. i did a compression test on my shee a few weeks ago just wanting to see where it was at. it was between 108-110 both sides where the same. the motor run's and starts good, but i think it is time for a fresh top end. i bought the shee in july of 03, brand new. the engine is all stock except for toomey t-5's and open lid with a prodesign foam filter. on this new top end i wanna do the normal things, pistons, rings, coolhead with 20 or 21 cc domes depending on what you guys say. tors removal, and k&n pod filters, and send my flywheel to FAST to be lightened. im most likely gonna send my cylinders to Hotseat performance or speedwerx. same place the reason is cuz there like 10 minutes from my house. to get them cleaned up. any suggestions on where to get the pistons? the cheapest ive seen was from i beleive Magic racing? for like 150 for Wiseco pistons, rings, bearings and gaskets?? does that sound right? #2 I know its been asked a Million times but what cool head do you guys recommend? Noss or Prodesign? and who has the best prices? #3 ive seen a lot of people that have the K&N pod filters with outerwear, ive looked a few places, but never been 100% sure on what to order. i just want em to bolt on to the carbs. any suggestions? so there we have it, sorry for the long post but i am really looking for some good advice! i will try to put some pics of my shee on here in a few minutes! thanks for looking and Hopefully replying! its a 2003, but i trashed the blue fenders and got a really good deal on the 2002 black and white ones, they look good.. this is when it was blue, pic taken at Little sahara in Oklahoma, last memorial day weekend. i
  11. well i think someone is lying to ya. the t-5's work better with ported built motors. they also work awesome on stock motors. the t-6's are supposed to be the best with stock motors, no port jobs or anything.
  12. wow, never seen this tool before. ive seen mercury ones that use vacuum to sync, but those where on motorcycles. how does this work, im lost. when you guys say VW store, what you talking about like volkswagen? haha, just kinda lost! thanks!
  13. here is a pic of my 2003 banshee, with 02 fenders and yellow powdercoated frame.
