  1. Bought a Katana 600 last year. First bike... love it. I'll def. be piping it over the winter though!
  2. Luckily Lola, being the pit she is, is pretty loyal and won't go far from my site. but i do live in a city area so if there is a cat or another dog around (which there usually is)... she'll dart for it. I also speak commands in german...which are more forceful than "get back here" and "hey don't run away from me!" or "dammit, where are you?" ...learned that from a guy who trains police dogs. he trains them in both german and english. Not sure how those electro-fences work but a friend of mine had good luck with his Great Dane (a.k.a. small horse) with a shock collar. only problem being, you have to watch the dog... otherwise, it's not going to work when it's already the next block over.
  3. i only banned 5 words. lol out of ALL the words in the english language. now there are only 3. i'm sure there are other words for fuck in a swear-word thesaurus somewhere.
  4. Sweet. I'm working on a site for Maine VW's for a buddy of mine. Should be up soon. I'm sure he'd welcome anyone else other than just Mainer's to interact. http://www.mainedubs.com Plut it should be informative at least. I'm almost considering a Corrado... if i can find a decent one. They're hard to come by. -L
  5. Well, the site could become a big 404 error... either way. If you see a pic that shouldn't be on here LET US KNOW ABOUT IT.... don't whine about the fact we cover up abusive and derrogatory words... If any content isn't appropriate for younger crowds or public networks... I've always asked that you let either myself or the moderators know about it. -L
  6. It always puts a smile on my face when I see a story like this. This scumbag was coined as the "poster-boy of spam". Good to see he has no equipment to run his spam services on and is being investigated by the authorities. http://www.detnews.com/2005/technology/051.../B01-349738.htm The last few weeks I have been battling a vicious battle with spam companies flooding the BHQ server with spam attempts, all of which were denied and never made it into circulation. However, 300,000+ messages a day going into the server makes for a lot of cleanup. Things are in place at this point and the server is rejecting these attempts before they hit the server altogether. Good to see these assclowns are getting it handed to them.. -L
  7. Cool deal. I'm in.
  8. HTML has never been allowed in signatures. it's a security risk to allow code in posts. BBCode was temporarily turned off while i sorted some things out with the forums. they've been acting screwy lately. You can put your sigs back in now. sorry for the confusion. Although, let's try to keep the pr0n sigs off though please. -L
  9. no worries, it wasn't the first giveaway, and won't be the last. I'll be working on more soon.
  10. After reading through a bunch of this thead, in hopes to formulate a good response about the government, religion, cults and mythical creatures (we covered all that so far right?), i've grown much too tuckered out to write an educated response... so I'll just reply to this one at random, (basically the last post i read before quitting this thread) Yes, but remember boys and girls, "suicide is painless" according to the M.A.S.H. theme song, and secondly, kool-aid is yummy. mortal sin or no sin. I miss Kool-Aid KoolBursts... i just can't get up the courage to buy them at the store. Ok, this is my pointless post.... sorry i'm too wiped to participate.
  11. Winners are in, http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...nounce&f=7&id=9 Congrats again to the lucky winners! Stay tuned everyone for the next round of giveaways!
  12. All set man; PM'd "blew duece" with the info.
  13. Also, I want to throw out an apology and a thanks for putting up with the email flood... Unfortunately, without a crew to monitor and fix on a daily basis, public, independent/non-commercial forums often end up being tested over the course of time by the users. Thanks for the PM's and the thread to let me know it's more than just a few people it was happening with. Sorry 'bout the in-frequency of it all. -L
  14. The BHQ server had spam detection software running for quite some time now. All was well until the last round of server updates. At that time, it updated the spam detection service software which, upon my research, has known issues with other server software currently running, mainly the mail server. I have removed the software today and may or may not install the previous version. I have inquiries in to a 3rd party server system to monitor and detect spam/virus emails, which I am awaiting a quote on for cost. The topic reply/PM notification, and validation emails now appear to be instantaneous rather than being hung up on the server for any length of time. You may experience a rash of emails today but that will normalize as the server will be sending them out as they come through from now on. Was one of those hard to pinpoint issues, but it's nabbed. Thanks for understanding, -L
  15. Forwarded to me by a friend, not to be taken for my words: "I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no f**king way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody, a rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock/ paper/ scissors I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh shit, I'm sorry I thought paper would protect you, asshole."
  16. The only things to ever really come out of MTV (IMHO) ... 1) Beavis & Butthead 2) MTV's The State 3) Aeon Flux 4) Sifl & Olli 5) Jackass Watching anything on MTV other than the above makes me feel like I'm hanging out at the mall. (Okay, britney spears and jessica simpson on mute may be an exception to the rule)
  17. HOW'd this little webcam pseudo-rapper kid get a show on mtv. oh wait..mtv will air any crap. http://www.mtv.com/onair/andy_milonakis/
  18. It's been a long while. I used to play constantly. If you see "bansheehq" in there..hit me up. we'll play.
  19. Ii noticed Ice-T is on the cover... is he one of those office assistants like the paperclip? "Hey biznatch...Ice-T on yo ass... need sum help with that letter? or a death threat? " () Yes, Ice-T, hook a brotha up! () Get outta my word processing app cop killa!...but seriously, thanks Ice-T, loved your third album (x) nah, but i want you to lay down some rhymes while I write my term paper.
  20. I'm a taco-bell fan if i had to choose one of the two... oops. i'm getting off topic.
  21. Seriously Hoyman, run for pres in the next election. You'll have my vote too! As a side note, if more money was put into research for alternate fuel sources (which can essentially be equal to those of our gas-based vehicles for day-to-day transportation), we would bring the cost of them down so people can actually afford them.... I understand fully that not everyone wants a hybrid, but what if all the people that do, could now afford them, if they were the same price (or close to) the new cars they're buying now. Here's just a few of the pros below: 1) the alternate-fuel cars are would be cheaper if more money by the government was put towards research and development of these cars 2) less gas cars on the road means less laws needed regarding pollution control 3) more alternate-fuel cars means we can keep our 2-stoke toys and they would still be in production next year. 4) petroleum-based fuels would be cheaper, as someone here mentioned about England earlier, since we wouldn't be requiring as much to be imported, we could actually use the reserves we have in moderation mixed with what we import from the middle-east. I'd buy an alternate-fuel car (such as the hyriid toyota has) if it wasn't the price of a luxury SUV... which I'm not running out to buy either. The above would help everyone. Those who want trucks and SUVs that run on Petro, can have them, while the others won't be relying on big oil companies to get them from point a to b. Look, for example on the VW's with the kits they sell to run the car on used vegetable oil... not bad for something a restaurant was going to throw away.... and I haven't heard any complaints about power or torque issues. It's not about being 100% eco-nazi... it's about providing more options for the consumer... we all have to get to work (well most of us) everyday and we all want to have our fun, be it a boat, atv, motorcycle, or even a piper cub.... but if everyone is using the same resources for their recreation and their transportation.... that leaves a lot of room for control by the suppliers of the fuel. That doesn't work for anyone.
  22. This BS about heeding an evacuation warning... A lot of those people, as with other sizeable cities, don't have vehicles or a means of transportation. And those that do, can't afford to fuel up the car at $5.00 /gallon it went up to as the threat of the storm increased. See how far $10 gets you on 2 gallons of gas. You see how hard it is to move the people with as many busses they have there now. It's taking time... So to just jump up and head out isn't as easy at it sounds. The fact is, it hit with force and it was exponentially increased by every moment up to the point of devastation. That's something no one can prepare for. If nothing else, more of our men and women from the national guard who are over in Iraq, should be here where they belong. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the National Guard service was set up to protect the homeland, especially in times when the army, marines, navy, etc. were away fighting for the country. Bottom line, New Orleans is part of America... It's our duty to protect and help them with all of the resources we have. I was always taught to protect and care for your family when in need, before "liberating" or helping someone elses. That part comes second when your homeland and families are secure and cared for. We have resources... we're the USA.
  23. I just think it's funny since pretty much, if not all, but a DAMN GOOD PERCENTAGE of the electronics people are ripping off WON'T WORK... they're either wet, or damaged, or crushed. or the idiot stealing it will trip over a dead body or a tipped over fruit stand and drop the shit into the water anyways... ghad, what have people become? If i were there, living in some apartment in New Orleans... I'd be hoofing it away from there...not sticking around looking for eBay'able items, waiting for the flood waters to consume me. LOL ok, that shit's just funny. But it's a sick, sad situation overall.
  24. HAHA ! Oh it's funny but you know I may just have to if no one can put gas in their trucks and quads to get them to ride in the first place! It's getting ridiculous. I've been taking the motorcycle just about everywhere I need to go lately. (except for the rainy days) . 58mpg can't be wrong. $2.62 as we speak (just got back from the store)
  25. I really want to work for Google... they are too awesome. Gotta love the Google Hybrid maps they have online.. helps a lot when i travel out of state. Try entering a UPS package number into google's search...or a flight number... or even a vehicle's VIN #....
