  1. here ya go lee. he posted about it before i did. he was on with the ups name, then right after he registered the new cotton.mouth name. I understand that. but i believe, i'm going to check, but if you are banned you can still log in. what you can do beyond that is limited in whole or in part (as set up in the forum administration)
  2. Most broadband providers do DHCP at their router's level. But it is definitely ISP-specific. I had Verizon DSL for a while and the IP changed almost weekly. With my adelphia powerlink i haven't seen a change in about 3 months. but it's still DHCP, so it could change at any time. All depends on how the ISP sets up their DHCP servers. There are even ways you can, for lack of a better word, request a new ip through software or command line, but some servers deny all requests of the sort.
  3. you obviously didnt ban his username is he was right back on here with THE SAME ONE the next day...yea, i do know the drill. If you're referring to "United Pot Smoker", his last post was at 7:41 PM on October 18. I banned that account on October 18 at 10:00 pm
  4. I banned the email. ---> he creates a new email addresss and registers with that I banned the IP --> his ip changes I banned the Username --> he'll create a new one with his new email addy I Suspended the accounts indefinitely --> can't use that account. That's the extent short of contacting his internet provider..... u should know the drill.
  5. nothing personal, just quoting a bumper sticker i saw the other day. I would like to see Boston take it though.. or Oakland
  6. I'm for two teams: 1. Boston 2. Anyone who beats the Yankees!!!
  7. Yes, he's been banned. never been unbanned. Before I typed my last message, I suspended his account indefinitely just as I've had to do to the other three names.
  8. "thenewguy" BrokeStonedBiker DirtRider are all the same person. I'm not seeing any similarities between them and any other member (United Pot Smoker included). Not to say this person isn't registered under other names, but it's just not appearing as such from my research. And U.P.S. was banned previously anyways. I do see that "thenewguy" and DirtRider's ip addresses are both resolving to a Virginia location (or the isp, RoadRunner is routing through Virginia) and BrokeStonedBiker is resolving to New Hampshire. So...either he A. switched providers B. has a friend who logs in from the other state. Either way, since Dirtrider was previously banned, I've banned the other two listed at the top of this post, since they are the same person in theory or in reality. (all registered with the same email address & between the three names, have 2 diff. ip addresses). "Well Penny, looks like we've solved another one, now if we can find that dog, Brain, we'll be in business" (inspector gadget reference btw)
  9. doing a little, easy, research through some log files. Looking for IP and login similarities. Let's see if the pieces of the puzzle come together. -Inspector Gadget...err..Lee
  10. Big Ooops on my part. Right now the only store the HQ has, (for now *hint hint*) is the CafePress store. Still cool stuff nonethless. I'll be linking it up to the main site shortly. Also we will be doing some updates to the items in the store. http://www.cafepress.com/bansheehq/
  11. no doubt, are you're taking the Redhat certification? very cool and good luck on it if you are!
  12. Lets hope the world, or at least Washingon, isn't relying on Al Roker. I completely agree!
  13. $10k! that's a good price! I'll take two! Seriously, If i had the cash to burn i'd get it... Then replace the "replica" gun with some sort of cap-gun mechanism so i can go around shooting big ass powder caps. I'd take a saturday evening when everyone's out doing yard work & drive around the neighborhoods around here and pick up some buddies, some girls, whoever wants to jump in and party in the big "cap gun cruiser". Remember: boys don't grow up, their toys just get more expensive.... Next up...tank.
  14. That is some scary looking stuff. yet amazing at the same time.
  15. This just in: http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1319086,00.html http://abcnews.go.com/wire/US/ap20041003_689.html http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...ount_st__helens Either way, if it was to blow it's top then they've been predicting for years it'll be a big one. Hope not, for those of you who live near. And if it does there will be some crazy ass weather patterns to follow throughout the US. Over here in Maine we'd end up seeing freezing rain or snow as a result quite possibly. But then again, I'm a web programmer, not Al Roker.
  16. Time for Lee to go shopping and stock up for this one! I might just have to try it. Who's up for some rounds?
  17. I like scary Dr. Crayola myself.
  18. Ahh yes, Absinthe, "the green faerie". I'm all too familiar with that. Absinthe martini's are also good and will kick ya where it hurts. 2 oz. Gin 1/2 oz. Dry Vermouth 1/8 tsp (or more hehe) Absinthe Sitr it in with ice. Strain it into a chilled cocktail/martini glass. A few of those and you're well on your way to seeing the green faerie. Of course, anything you buy in the States for Absinthe is refined. Meaning, they took out the ingredient "wormwood" which by U.S. food & drug rulings is a neurotoxin. If you buy "Absente" in the States, the wormwood was replaced by "Southern Wormwood" which doesn't have the psychotrophic (sp?) affects that the pure wormwood does. (Be advised, if you ever get your hands on wormwood alone, the pure stuff; don't consume it. I'm no chemist, but I do know that by itself undiluted will cause some serious damage). Prolonged consuming of the pure absinthe concoctions back in Van Gogh's time was believed to have caused, let's say 'mental instabilities', in artists such as Van Gogh and Picasso. Also known to be consumed regularly by Walt Whitman, Aaron Burr, and the former president William Taft. I've heard Canada has it! But like loganskinner mentioned, Russia is one of the best places to get it from. I got a small bottle from a place in France a few months ago. And if shots are being ordered up: I'll take a "Lemon Drop" Vodka shot w/ a lemon slice & sugar around the rim of the shot glass. Mmmm.
  19. Firefox is a great alternative to IE and their email client, Thunderbird, is an excellent alternative to mickeysoft's OE. I'd say if you've tried netscape 6, and like it to some degree, you'll like firefox a lot more. Most browsers outside of IE, (Opera, Netscape, apple's Safari, etc.) are all Mozilla-based browsers. It's just the interface and add-ins (adware/popup controls, etc.) that is different Firefox has the google toolbar built in, so it blocks popups. I'm actually switching to thunderbird from OE... With firefox I think we have a winner in the battle of the browsers, at least in PC-land. -Lee
  20. I watched the debate to the end but didn't stick around for the press babble. Instead a few buddies and I walked out & went to a bar..... had a lot more fun drinking and watching a good band play. Cheers (and go boston!) -Lee
  21. "Master Pimp Lee Dogg" is what i got...even thought I'm only medium pimpin'
  22. "Girls like guys with skills...you know....Numchuk skills, computer hacking skills, bow hunting skills." -Napoleon Dynamite (I still want to see that movie)
