It's a fad of the middle-class suburbian kids. Like the prep/stussy fad, A&F fad, and of course the grunge fad. Except, I liked grunch music..my favorite bands came out of that era.. but it's just silly to see people in Miami Florida wearing ragged jeans and flannel over-shirt in them middle of summer to show what kind of music they listen to. (In seattle they wear that cause it rains and it's cold. a lot) Just striving for someone to notice them and in the back of their mind they feel they fit in somewhere. The haircuts though are the same bad haircuts they had in the 70's that no one wanted to remember from their yearbooks/pictures. History repeats. just with different lyrics attached to it.

Awaiting respnse from techs at IPS As for the server, thanks for the offer, but the BHQ along with some other of my ventures will be on their own dedicated server soon, separated from other hosted sites; even though the server currently has quite a bit of resources left. Looking forward to new enhancements and new HQ Network ventures throughout summer 2006!

Everytime I take on the project of upgrading the forums and/or main site I remember just why I'm hesitant to start the task. THE BHQ IS BIGGER THAN EVER... literally! But it's all worth it, and you (the members) are worth all efforts to keep this site growing bigger every day. In pictures/avatars alone, we have just about 1gb of storage just for images currently being used. Yes that's a lot. The modifications done in the past have to be all re-done again for these new forums, since they were a complete overhaul in source-code/programming from the previous versions of the boards. So please bear with me with adding in the modifications again such as the Arcade, Blog, Chat, and Gallery.That'll all trickle in and be functional hopefully by Wednesday at this time. I started, as you probably noticed, around 1pm on Tuesday and am still at it. I know it'll take some getting used to since it's completely different than before, but I believe the colors/layout reflect the sport and nature of the site better than the silver scene did. If you come across anything that's not working, please let me know. I'll be keeping a bug report and work through them as we go. Welcome back Banshee-riders!

Yes, my apologies for the downtime. Something cut out the web server so it stopped serving up the hq site. This is being looked into now and will hopefully be back on track to normal uptimes soon. -L

I know, it's taking longer than expected. Had some very big projects with work lately keeping me occupied for the most part. However, once I get the forum upgraded I can go 'live' with the new design and forums. New headers will be included with that.

After having a crotch rocket for over a year now... I'd take the crotch rocket option... but that's just me. Guess it depends too if you have kids or not Oh and as far as the size... you won't be let down with a 600RR or GSX-R750. Get a Liter bike if you're not experienced, and be ready to end up somewhere opposite your bike when you throttle it around the wrong turn. IMHO unless you're going straight and fast, what's the point of a bike that can do 105 in first gear? 600-750 range is the way to go. Plenty fast (I did 105 in third gear yesterday on my 600 [recently piped & jetted]) -L

Funny to come across this thread. I just picked up XM since I travel a lot now. Beats finding the current station in whatever city/state you're driving in. It was pretty much an impulse buy for me so honestly I can't give my opinion on Sirius since I haven't tried it out yet. I'll just throw my 2cents in and say XM so far has kicked ass every time I drive now. Better than fiddling with cd's or mp3 players when you're driving.

The BHQ doesn't use flash/shockwave for anything site-related, except for the occasional banner. If you have flash installed, you should be golden. Currently the only time it should prompt you if you don't have flash installed is when the RDZ banner is showing. other than that, no flash is used.

YES, Richard Cheese is the man. Every year I have a x-mas eve open house, since there's nothing else to do, it's an open invitation each year and people come over, drink and have tons of food/snacks.. this year I put on a richard cheese mix and people were like "wait.. is this Rape Me in lounge format?!" not to mention his covers of 'Insane in the Brain', radiohead's 'Creep' or depeche mode's 'Personal Jesus' I'll take Richard Cheese covers over weird al anyday... can't beat the lounge scene.
