Pro Design Airfilter with intake flange
reggiexp replied to Robert80's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
hi didnt see the reply ahh okay i got a cheap china air plastic fitler plate, and a cheap k&n clone that i dont really feel like using, so i was curious if i buy the pro design filter alone for 80€ it wil fit the adapter i got. havent mounted anything yet, but i hate the stock air filter system i did remove the old foam and pout some thicker foam and glued that with gasket maker. but now i cant remove my air filter to clean it... so its anoying me. yeah i dont ride sand its dirt, and dusty gravel in summer my honda trx300ex had a k&n and that filter was brown after 2 months of summer use but the problem was that also my rubber pipe between air box and carb was brown all around i cleaned it and 1 year later it was brown again. that makes me think twice to use a k&n on a banshee not same value/price of quad i take more care of it. anyway nobody know the pro design mount outside diameter for air fitler mount? cause the china plat is like 92 93mm and the china k&n is 94mm ish but there no foam filter of that size and nobody posted the dimension of the pro design kit... i did get a outerwear for it never used that also. so its or am gonna use my china plate with china k&n and outerwear, or i want ot try and find a foam filter that fits (no luck yet) - Today

Ok so I recently just rebuilt my banshee it is a 421 assassin and I got everything together It will start up first or second kick but then require throttle to keep it idling and if you let off it will die almost immediately we have leak down tested it on the bench lost zero psi in 15 minutes we compression tested it and it’s doing 130 in both Cylinders we’ve OHM tested every electrical component and it is all within spec i’ve set the bowl heights and clean the carbs very thoroughly they are 33 mm PWK’s The air screws don’t change anything the idle screws don’t change anything the pilot jet is a 52 I’m not to sure what it could even be at this point any help will be very much appreciated Thank You

Prototype69 replied to dunerunner37's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have same problem had to get new gaskets cause some how water had bubbled up under my base gasket guessing water jacket plugs leaked but do ya really have to trim it -
I got a gasket kit from Vito’s for my Banshee but it came with a 1 piece base gasket but I have separate Athena cylinders can I go ahead and use gasket. Because had to take engine Apart because i had water pockets under my base gasket still figuring how that happen unless the water jacket plugs leaked

Does anyone here currently use or have used either one of Chariot Performances Intakes or Billet Reed Cages ? On Saturday when I was installing my new fuel lines I happened noticed that both my stock intake boots have some cracks around the area where the clamps are for the crossover tube. I also noticed that the reed gaskets are seeping fuel a long the underside of the reeds. So any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jake

Here’s what I have stock banshee with cool head 21cc domes, fmf gold series , no airbox pod filters, and stock 26mm carbs it starts first kick and idles great but bog’s slightly on takeoff but clears up a couple seconds later and it sounds funny on the top end like it’s not revving out raspy sound north Florida sea level 30 pilots 300 mains needle clip 3rd position got a lil better when I made it richer but still didn’t fix the problem. air screws at 1.5 should I go bigger on the main? Should I change the pilot? Please help

@DonJuan I’ll break it down for you. With a 10x6 wheel. The 10 means the rim size and the 6 means the width of the rim. Here is an example. Let’s just say you bought a tire in this size 18.0 X 5.5-10. So it would work like this. The 18.0 would be the outside diameter of the tire and the 5.5 would be the width of the tire and the 10 is the rim size. So if the new tires you have bought say ??.0 x 5.5-10 then YES they will fit on your stock banshee rims.

Help with a carburetor fuel leak.
JerzOutlaw350 replied to HeavyHauler's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Depending on if you’re planning to do some riding this weekend then the best thing to do is go your local dealership and get some of the Motion Pro Gray Tygon fuel line. I would suggest buying at least 3ft of it. Then if you’re looking for the clean look of the OEM fuel lines then check out either https://www.motosport.com/ or https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/ and look under OEM parts for the 3 fuel lines that you need.
